Looking for a carefree vacation? Complete with all the upgrades, this five-bedroom, three-bath, two-half-bath townhouse is an example of Sunset Island at its finest. Conveniently located just one block from the pools and clubhouse, this well-appointed home comes with free WiFi, a fully-equipped kitchen, a full-size private washer/dryer, five TVs, and a DVD player. A comfortable living room beckons you to kick back in style with a 54-inch flatscreen TV. Relax with a drink and a good book on one of the spacious rear balconies or charming front porches. When the day is done, seek refuge in one of two main suites, one with a sitting area and a private roof deck, the other with a soaking tub and a walk-in closet. Even beach chairs and boogie boards are included with this house for your convenience! Three parking spaces are assigned to this home.

Sunset Island is located on 67th St in Ocean City's premier gated community just two blocks from the Atlantic Ocean. The 37-acre private community is surrounded by the Bay on three sides, giving you tranquil scenery throughout the day and breathtaking views at Sunset. The community amenities include indoor and outdoor pools, a clubhouse, shoreline walking paths, bayside beaches, interactive fountains, and much more. All this, and you're still just a short drive from the Ocean City Boardwalk and world-class golf.

Things to Know
A building registration fee includes six facility passes and three parking passes. Additional facility passes are $70 per pass, per person per week. Children three and under do not require a facility pass. The fees are the following: January 1 - April 30 and October – December 31 = $100. May 1 - May 25 = $150. Sunday before Memorial Day, May 26 to Saturday after Labor Day, September 7 = $200. September 8 - September 30 = $150.
Ocean City has adopted a noise control ordinance that makes it unlawful to cause or permit noise levels which exceed those established by the Department of the Environment of the State of Maryland (COMAR 26.02.03.02) or are in violation of Chapter 30, Article V of the Town Code. It shall be a violation of this agreement and grounds for eviction under Maryland law if these noise levels are exceeded as a result of activity on this property. Ocean City has other noise ordinances, which are criminal offenses if violated.

Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.

Amazing
The home is beautiful. Very well stocked. Good idea to look at the cabinets before u head out shopping. Lots of things left from previous guest (great idea). We restocked and replaced few things we used. Overall the house was clean, comfortable and super spacious. Perfect for our family trip.

Fun family week
Location was perfect. Close to pool, bay and walking distance to ocean, places to eat, shopping, mini gulf and boat rentals. So much for whole family to do.

Needs to be taken care of better
This is our sitch I’m staying in Sunset Island. We have stayed in both the townhomes and in single family homes. While we prefer the single family homes, we figured we’d give this townhome a try because the pictures were beautiful online. To start, Vacasa made check-in very easy. We had a short line to get our papers and it was a bonus that it was a keyless entry, which meant we didn’t have to return keys at the end of our stay! We couldn’t get in any earlier then the 4 PM check in but that was fine. The location of the house is great. Right on the main street in between the entry and the pool, with the general store really close. When we entered the house, we went in through the laundry room which had sand all on the floor and the sand continued up the stairs into the main level. There were stains on the carpet on all levels. The floors were all dirty and had definitely not been vacuumed. There was still food and trash underneath beds. The top of the master bed was covered in dust. The Master shower had mold, so I went out and bought bleach spray and it took it right away (which is super easy to do, I don’t know why the cleaning people didn’t do that). There was only one working light in the master bathroom and that was the one over the vanity. The one in the shower, the one over the tub and the fan all were not working. In the kitchen cabinets, there were tons of leftovers from previous renters. There was even three loaves of bread that had blue mold on it. The kitchen floor was disgusting. All of the toilets in the house had Paper around the lid to show that it had been cleaned, but honestly I think that was just put on there as a façade because it was definitely not cleaned. There were towels on every bed although we did not pay for a linen package (not sure if that was from the previous renter). They were Thomas the train sheets on one of the beds when we got there. We had to wash every dish that we used prior to using them because most of them had food still left on them but were in the cabinet. The washing machine had mold in the soap dispenser. It also had mold around the rubber part inside. The outside shower leaked and it got so bad that it was nonstop running hot water. I did let Vacasa know and they came to fix that. I also let them know how dirty it was once we checked in but nothing was ever done. There are more things that were filthy with this house but these are the main concerns. All in all, this house is not well taken care of. It definitely seems like it is just an investment property, they are to make money. Tons of scuffs on the walls, holes in the walls and doors, stains etc. if this were my property, I’d be furious. I figured when you’re spending this amount of money to rent for a week, the house would be beautiful (or at least as beautiful as it can be at the beach). I would not recommend this house. This is honestly the worst house in sunset island I have ever been in

Great Rental
We loved everything except having to purchase 2 additional pool passes to accommodate our group. The amount of passes should equal the occupancy of the unit.

Spacious, comfortable, great amenities
We truly enjoyed this home as it held a group of 11 adults comfortably. The couch was comfortable and held everyone in the common areas well. The community is absolutely gorgeous and the amenities are plentiful. The downside to a gated community is that parking and having guests over presents more of a challenge then renting elsewhere. That being said, we had access to the attached garage and two vehicles fit on the driveway. Other guests and visitors parked on the street and walked up which was fine because the house wasn’t too far from the entryway and we visited in the off-season. The home wasn’t up to our cleanliness standards but certainly that could be an isolated issue. There was trash left on one of the balconies, crumbs under the coffee table, dishes still in the dishwasher, and the bedding in some rooms could be replaced. There were numerous lights out so it seems as if the cleaning crew may not be communicating with management/maintenance as often as they probably should. All in all, we had a great experience & would stay here again!
