Lazy K Stables is a peaceful 21 acre horse farm. Conveniently located 5 min from Hwy 16, 1 hour out of Seattle and sits right in between Gig Harbor and Port Orchard. And added bonus we are only a few miles from 360/gateway park where there are many horse/Walking/Mountain Biking trails. and only 1 mile away from Horseshoe Lake Public Park with a swimming area and volleyball courts.

Beautiful getaway!

This ranch was a great retreat to relax between business functions on this trip! This would be a perfect spot to get away on vacation as well. Everything was well stocked and comfortable. Seeing deer in the yard was a fun surprise too!

Stable stay

Beautiful property. Friendly and easy contact with owner. I really loved the stay. Our family was able to come and visit. My husband was really upset that there is not a TV.

Bronco Bunkhouse

Beautiful grounds and great value for your stay. If your looking for a modern 4-star stay with brand new workmanship it's not, but excellent location and accommodation for a short or long stay. Walk or drive to the Yoked Farmhouse and Brewery and you won't be disappointed. Many horses and a Donkey will be your next door neighbors as well. Very peaceful and rural experience!

Lovely Stay at Lazy K Stables

We enjoyed a three night stay in this apartment in July 2021. There is plenty of space for a family of four. We worked with Keri in advance to arrange horse riding lessons for our girls, ages 8 and 12. I highly recommend for anyone looking for an easy getaway from the city.

Our granddaughters loved the animals!

This fun, bunkhouse theme apartment is above the barn, right next to a horse corral and large covered arena. My granddaughters didn’t miss TV for a minute because they were outside all day playing with the cats and petting the horses over the fence. Such a lovely, quiet spot for a getaway weekend.

Wonderful farm stay!

Peaceful and relaxing setting on an equestrian property. Greeted by chickens and friendly kitties daily. Enjoyed a riding lesson, petting the donkey, and all the farm sounds. Very comfortable queen bed in this spacious "bunkhouse" above the barn. Everything one might need for a farm-y getaway. Wish I could've stayed longer! Thank you!

Difficult accommodations

This place has a difficult access , cumbersome stairs and strong odors from horses right beneath the bunkhouse . The beds were hard , so no one slept well .

A Roof And An Uncomfortable Bed

If you are just passing through and looking for a place to sleep for the night, this will do it. But if you are looking for anything more than that, probably keep looking. Lots of things within the home were in need of repair. The beds appear to be very, very old basic spring mattresses with no cushion, very uncomfortable and make a ton of noise anytime you move. Also, there’s no TV. The ad does not say that there IS a TV, but it’s just one of those basic things you would expect. To me, it was very over priced for what it is.

Heat wave in Seattle

Property was nice. Owners were very kind and helpful. The heat wave made it way too hot. It was over 90 in the room with the portable AC running. For some reason the heat also would go off! If we hadn’t had the heat it would have been a nice stay.

Reflective Respite

Really great "Bunkhouse" above the barn, with plenty of room for relaxing AND comfortable beds! The property was as advertised with one small surprise-- The chickens and other animals were on sabbatical with their voices, so it was quiet during our stay (although animal talk would have been fine). Keri arranged two riding lessons for my daughter with Sylvie, who was a patient and good instructor, particularly for a beginning rider. Very good communication with the host which was appreciated. We completely enjoyed ourselves and hope to return!

Favorite get away

We've come to Lazy K twice. My daughter LOVES horses. While she has lessons, I relax and/or work from 'home'. Keri and Clif are amazing as are the young gals who teach lessons. We hope to come on a regular basis as we live just two hours away. The young ladies who teach lessons are amazing at teaching and also great role models for my daughter to look up too. I wish there was an option to give Lazy K ten stars!!!!

No Communication from Host

We didn't stay at this property because I didn't hear any confirmation from the host, and therefore I thought we didn't have the reservation. I called VRBO to inquire a week ahead, and they couldn't find the reservation. I didn't realize that I had made it from my other email address and that the email address is tied to the reservation. I requested a refund, but the host didn't give one.

Serene and special place

Great location, lovely property, friendly hosts, and horses (and kittens and chickens) - what is there not to like! The Bunkhouse was very comfortable for our family of five and LazyK made a great base from which to launch our daily adventures- MTB at 360 Park, chilling at Horseshie Lake, enjoying an outing to Gig Harbor, and riding lessons for my horse-crazy daughter. While at the ranch we enjoyed getting to know the horses, talking with the people who were utilizing the facilities, and petting sweet “Orangey” the cat AND 3 kittens who were just introduced to the property. Keri and Cliff have a special place. I’m already planning to return either on another family vacation or just with my daughter. They also have a nice spot on the property for camping. Super relaxing place.

Country getaway

We stayed here for a night to celebrate our daughters birthday because she loves horses. We appreciated that there was no TV, as we had a nice evening without the battle over screen time. Since it is a working farm we weren’t at all surprised or bothered to hear trucks and other machinery running early in the morning. The host was accommodating of our departure delay due to our daughter opening and enjoying her birthday gifts. Overall was a nice getaway from our busy lives.

Beautiful horse ranch

You're in the middle of a horse ranch, right next to an arena. Property was clean and grounds manicured. They board horses for people at this ranch. When we were there a young family came out to ride their horses and camped out next to the outdoor arena on the backside of the property. There is plenty of privacy.

Gig Harbor Retreat

Perfect getaway

If you need a little escape from your busy life, this is the place to go. It is so very peaceful and the horses, kitty, and chickens are a welcome bonus! I am so looking forward to coming back to enjoy this little piece of paradise.

Wonderful stay

My 8 year old son and I stayed here for a week. It was perfect for what we needed. It was peaceful and the property was lovely. Even though it’s over the barn, I didn’t hear a peep from the chickens or horses while we were inside the house. We enjoyed the horses and kittens and walking around the grounds. The kitchen worked to cook up meals. Everything was clean, other than the bedroom carpets which could use a good steam cleaning. When we are back in the area, we plan to stay here again!
