First of all the location was spectacular. Upon arrival the condo had not been cleaned. The owner responding quickly and also told us to get something to eat and she would pay for our meal. After returning to the condo we discovered that both split air units did not work. Since we arrived on Friday the owner said that they doubted they could get it looked at over the weekend but Jennifer did place a call to their AC people that it was an urgent matter. The owners offered us a 50% if we stayed as I mentioned I was going to look for other accommodations. After spending our first evening looking for other accommodations we decided to accept the discount with the hope that the AC could be fixed. We did go to Home Depot and purchased an upgraded fan which again Jennifer reimbursed us. During our 11 day stay there was no further communication regarding the AC. We prefer to rent a condo over a hotel allowing us to save money by doing our own cooking. Unfortunately with the AC out we ate most of our meals in restaurants. Overall it was not an ideal experience and although the owners did refund our cleaning fee, pay for our first meal, paid for an upgraded fan and give us a 50% discount it was not enough to offset our discomfort of not having AC. We usually go on three big trips annually. We fly first class and stay at nice places because we are both in our 70âs and like to be comfortable. On our check out day construction began on the unit above us at 9:15. We were glad to leave!!
