This home is just a few yards from the ocean with windows in every room that face the water to offer incredible views of Lanai and Molokai. The sounds of the surf will bring peace to your soul and lull you to sleep at night. From the lanai, you can watch sea turtles in the tide pools, see the whales breach in season, and glimpse surfers off the Kahana shores. This home has one of the best views on the island.

This upper-end unit has two bedrooms, one king-size bed, one queen, a queen-size sleeper sofa, plenty of closet and dresser space, and two full bathrooms with large showers. There are granite countertops in the fully-equipped kitchen, ceiling fans in every room, high-speed internet and free WiFi, desk space for your computer, and a flatscreen HDTV with cable and a DVD player.

Mahina Surf is a small and quiet complex with lovely gardens, a heated pool, oceanside gas grills, and on-site laundry facilities. Kaanapali and Kapalua golf courses are both less than four miles away, and there is excellent dining available in Lahaina, Napili, Kaanapali, and Kapalua.

This property is managed by Vacasa Vacation Rentals of Hawaii LLC.

We had a wonderful time. The turtles basking on the rocks in front of our condo was such a treat. The views were spectacular. We would definitely return to this spot.

This had to be one of the best spots on the entire island to stay. Floor to ceiling views, well stocked home, and the location was perfect. Not too big of a complex, but big enough to have great amenities. Turtles galore, views galore, and we will definitely book again!

Amazing!

The condo was as deceived and very clean. The view is incredible with the most amazing ocean views from every window. Good, clean pool; grills; decent parking; and great snorkeling just steps from the condo. We saw dozens of sea turtles, lots of fish, and a couple of eels. I will definitely stay here again if I come back to Maui!

We rented 3 units for a 50th anniversary family celebration. Everything went smoothly. The property was meticulously maintained, location was convenient and proximity to the water made 228 a special joy. We could watch whales from the deck at any time, and sea turtles came on shore when the tide was low. Loved it!

DREAMY VIEWS!

You will love Mahina Surf 228 if you love to see turtles playing in the ocean, flying fish schooling nearby, rainbows light up the sky almost every morning and evening, and being lulled to sleep by the ocean waves. This unit is exactly as pictured. The views are amazing! There is an adequately stocked kitchen to have home cooked meals and keep your expenses down. The public grilling area is fantastic. There is a shared laundry room. You will need to download an app to start the machines. The bed is comfortable but the sheets are not soft and the pillows are very flat. Wish we had packed our own, but we are bed snobs. LOL We were there mid July and the unit does get very warm during the day. It takes quite a while to cool down in the evenings. The loft stays pretty warm at night even with the provided fans on high and the light from the porch keeps it pretty lit up even at night. If you need a dark and cool room to sleep make sure you get the downstairs bedroom. Overall we felt this was a very safe, beautiful, and quiet area. We would definitely return!

The view. However since the price has now more than doubled we will no longer be able to afford this location. Very sad, as we have stayed at this property close to a dozen times.

Great Stay

This is a wonderful unit with great ocean views from all rooms - except the bathrooms of course. Clean and well stocked. We love Mahina Surf and have stayed there several times in another very nice unit. But the view from the Lani in 228 is spectacular and we so enjoyed watching the turtles below us.

Beautiful View

This home had a beautiful view, but that’s about it. It was dirty and had a ton of bugs in the home and bed upstairs. Beds were extremely uncomfortable, pillows weren’t double covered, no linens for pull out couch, one pillow/towel per person with no washer/dryer in the unit so we we doing laundry almost every day. It’s a great complex and I would look to stay in a different unit.

The resort gets professionally treated for pests on a quarterly basis. The master king mattress and sofa mattresses are both brand new. Our property manager was happy to assist you by bringing additional pillows, pillow covers, and linens. Hopefully we can provide you with a more positive experience next time.

Best Location

No offense to the other units in this complex, but 228 is the very best location: corner unit, 2nd Floor, closest to ocean. With windows open the surf and wind are thunderous, exhilarating and like you are in a (very well appointed) tree house.
