Rest assured, enhanced cleaning protocol. Closest freestanding private home to the WhiteHouse in DC -- walkability score is 100%. Highlighted in Washington Post; our romantic private one bedroom apartment is part of Supreme Court Justice's 1890's brick house and the absolute heart of Dupont. Located New Hampshire & N. 1.5 blocks from the Circle. 10 blocks from Georgetown. Metro across street. Everything you need for a great weekend getaway or extended stay and your best visit to DC possible!

The space
This lovely --private entrance-- Victorian style first floor apartment with high ceilings is absolutely elegant. Ideal for a couple on holiday or World Banker on extended work trip. You'll love it.

Amazingly functional living space with all modern amenities. (linens, towels, TV with many movie channels, utensils and cookware, private laundry etc.) Cozy and beautiful living / dining area with tall bay windows. The unexpected kitchen (hidden inside a 200 year old armoire) and chest height pull down murphy bed design (not suitable for grandparents) always get an admiring “wow!” from our visitors.

Serious cleaning protocol & disinfecting!! Airbnb has partnered with experts in health and hospitality to create an enhanced cleaning protocol that helps support us hosts as travel evolves. We follow it religiously. Cleaning is a serious business for our family to be sure you are extra safe when you stay with us.

The apartment has an entrance off New Hampshire Ave. and a private entrance just off 21st street with a very charming little private porch.

You have full use of a terrific private patio too adjoining the house anytime you like... including the gas grill.

On site parking is possible too - $25 a day (cash on arrival) Park ONLY on the left side and confirm your spot in advance - first come first served.

Great location, great host

It’s a small property with everything one or two people need. Made a great base of operations for my visit to DC, with easy access to restaurants, the metro, and GWU. The host was very helpful and responsive, and the checkin instructions were easy to follow.

Super Quaint with Responsive Host

This is such a quaint and unique stay. Superb location with easy access to Metra and Uber. Tons of restaurant options and our host made some fabulous recommendations too. Host was amazing. Contacted him with an issue and received response and solution immediately.

This property is in a superb & safe location. The host is very friendly & provided helpful suggestions before and during my stay. It was also fantastic to have a driveway parking option since I drove to DC. I’d definitely stay there again.

Our stay here was awesome. The apartment is right in the middle of everything and within walking distance of everything you need! The host Tedd was extremely nice and welcoming our entire stay and was an overall amazing host! I will definitely be trying and rebook here in the future.

A cozy and wonderfully convenient rental

This unique rental is ideal for a couple (we also had two medium sized dogs and were just fine) who need a safe, convenient, and neighborhood-friendly setting while in DC. The description is spot on and we would return.

We arrived and were greeted by the owner, his warm welcome contributed positively to our rating as it was definitely not what we expected :) The place would be ideal for 2 or a maximum of 3 people who are planning to explore the city and only come to the flat to sleep and freshen up.

Perfect Georgetown Apartment

My wife and son were looking for a location close to Georgetown’s campus and found this absolute gem!! Very cool house located downtown DC with walking access to great coffee shops and restaurants. The house is separated into apartment spaces and we chose this most unique unit. It was comfortable, clean, safe and a perfect place to stay in DC. The Murphy bed was very comfortable. Tedd, the owner was simply awesome!! Spot on communication, great food recommendations and one of the nicest hosts our family has had the pleasure of working with. Highly, Highly recommended!!

Great Location, Price, and Host!

You can't beat the price and location of this cozy little apartment. I stayed there with my 10yo and 13yo daughters and it fit our needs perfectly. Tedd the host may be one of the nicest humans I've ever met. There were a few minor hic ups when we first arrived (clogged sink), and Tedd jumped on it right away and made it all good. Note: this is not a conventional spacious apartment, but the murphy bed is sooooo comfy. Plus, with all there is to do in the city, you won't be hanging out there much. My girls and I ate breakfast at one of the many places in the area and then walked to the Mall and beyond. I would stay there again!

It was a unique property and it provided shelter. It was unsafe in that the outdoor stair railing was literally rotting and not attached. To sleep in the very uncomfortable Murphy bed, your way to the front door was blocked, which I would think would be a huge fire hazard. There were only 2 matching glasses, all other kitchen stuff looked like left overs from a bad garage sale, very random. The sink faucet dripped all night. The bathroom was sad; the medicine cabinet was held together by a strap and wasn't even hung straight and the strip of lights only had a lightbulb in one socket. I have been in college student apartments that had better accommodations. I think the value of the property was way overpriced, Won't stay there again and won't recommend it.

host did not respond to messages

host refused to adjust our reservation when we were no longer able to make it due to a medical emergency. i messaged 48 hours prior and did not get a response until after we were supposed to have checked in. That response said that if my message had been seen earlier the host may have been able to refund me but now it was too late. So this was the worst few hundred bucks i’ve ever spent hands down. As a host myself I would’ve never been this negligent and unresponsive. I also would’ve been more understanding of an emergency but I guess I can’t expect others to do the same. Thanks Tedd
