Fabulous location and great clean room. Nice bathroom. Right near Union Station. Coffee bar on second floor is a nice add on. Con’s
.has a weird fish smell from the Dubliner and can be very noisy. Front desk was so so, not exactly rude but definitely didn’t go out of their way to be welcoming.

Great location within walking distance from the capitol and the mall. Plenty of Ubers when we got tired of walking. Have to give a huge shout out to 2 of the desk staff, Kayla and Karina. They were super helpful, couteous and a pleasure to work with. The Dubliner is right there and their food was amazing. There was a great coffee shop down the block as well. The room was spacious and comfortable. Housekeeping came every day. Only negative was that all the linens were clearly old...holes in the towels, and bathrobe with a ragged sleeve. Still useable but not plush.

I loved the Phoenix Park Hotel. The location was terrific. The staff was friendly. The room was clean and well appointed. There was a great exercise room downstairs. I would stay there again.

Lovely, old hotel attached to an Irish pub and restaurant, very convenient for a quick breakfast before starting your day. Rooms are small but very clean and updated. Nice bathroom.

Staff was great! The bellman was very helpful and room cleaning staff was great. Location to Capitol was great. If you don’t mind walking, this the location for you. Union Station across the street.

This wasn’t my first trip to Washington DC, but it was certainly my favorite ! My Hotel ( The Phoenix Park Hotel ) was in the perfect location
 From the Hotel you look directly at the US Capitol Building about a quarter mile away
 The Hotel Staff was great
 And the Irish Restaurant and “Pub” were amazing
 Great food, and nightly entertainment
 It was the nightlife center of DC
 If I ever return to DC, I will stay here again !

Clean and pleasant in an outstanding location.

Our room was spacious and clean, even though we wish the bathroom had been a bit larger (the door swung within inches of the toilet seat when you opened it). The location can't be beat for the price we paid and staff was cordial and attentive.

Cozy hotel and great location

Walking distsnce from the train station, we arrived early and a room was already ready for us! Very clean room with housekeeping daily. Easy walk to capitol hill. There were also plenty of ride-share scooters parked near the hotel. The Dubliner, the restaurant in the hotel, had delicious food and great service. Hotel guests get one free drink coupon per night. There is also free coffee in the hotel lounge that is actually really good.

Great location. 1 block from Union Station so we used the Metro a lot. Liked that Dubliner was down stairs. Great food and a locals place to eat. Saw Congressmen there.

SAVE DEMOCRACY!!!

Great location! We were there for the protest at the Monument; and it was within walking distance. Hotel was attached to an Irish bar with live Irish music ! Good food too! This hotel is located across the street from a Smithsonian Museum for the postal service. Sounds boring? No way! The docent loved his job! Go there!

My husband and I decided that we wanted to go and visit Washington DC during the orange blossom festival 2025. We are most interested in hitting the monuments and museums. Here are my recommendations. The hotel we stayed at was very clean, the staff was very friendly and the accommodations worked well for while we were there. We were not going to be spending a whole lot of time in our hotel room as we had itinerary set. The hotel is in great location to the US capital. So if you’re traveling for work or your primary goal is to be at the capital it is a fantastic location. There is a restaurant attached, the dubliner, which is Irish food. Excellent food, but not something you want to be eating every night as it’s pretty heavy. The city is not a “foodie” type city where they are known any particular cuisine. The location of the hotel was pretty far from most of the museums and monuments. I think my Fitbit logged us at 10 miles in one day. If you’re planning on going and you want to tour the White House or the US capital there are abbreviated hours and the White House you need to book Months in advance. I thought three weeks would be ample time, but I learned otherwise. You do also have to contact your local congressman to arrange for the tour.
