The Bell Quarters Spain - Uptown Living

The Bell Quarters Spain feature a one-bedroom suite with Spanish-inspired decor as a nod to one of our City’s cultural influences. Located 5 scenic blocks from St. Charles Avenue, guests can easily stroll to play tennis at our public kkcourts, have an appetizing meal at nearby restaurants or catch the scenic streetcar to other delightful destinations in New Orleans.

My neighborhood is convenient for walking, biking, driving and taking public transportation. The St. Charles Avenue streetcar is a short walk away and can take you to the French Quarter in 15-20 minutes. There is usually plenty of street parking. Car share services are about a 10-minute ride to the Central Business District, French Quarter and other major areas.

The open space plan features a kitchenette and dining/living space with sofa and fitting bath. The sleeping area has a 10-inch memory foam full-sized bed, ample closet space and natural light.

Appliances include a refrigerator, microwave, and coffee maker.

The unit has concrete floors and is on the ground-level with residents living above. It is a raised basement with support beams and the ceiling height is approximately 7 feet. Street parking only.

Excellent weekend stay for 1

The space was just what I needed at an excellent price, especially for the area. Everything was spotless with lots of nice amenities like coffee, cold water in the fridge and even microwave popcorn and Zappos chips! The bed was comfortable, plenty of water pressure and fluffy towels. Would definitely stay again.

My wife and I had a great stay. The property is quite large for the price and the street is quiet. There were many amenities provided. Some people mentioned the low ceilings. They are a bit low but I’m 6-3 and aside from right in front of the refrigerator where there is a support beam I was fine. I would definitely stay again and am looking forward to doing such. Lydia was helpful and responsive. For the price paid it was a great bargain during French quarter fest. The street car was a short walk away to get you where you needed to go. It was a perfect spot for our needs.

I was raised on the Mid-Atlantic Coast but lived in South Louisiana for almost 40 years. The visit was a re-uniting with a formative part of my past. The host’s location was adequate for my wife and me. It was clean and convenient for the locations we wanted to attend.

My partner and I stayed at Milan for a four day stay. We enjoyed the location and the proximity to St. Charles and Magazine, and the walk was easy for both. We throughly enjoyed our stay, and would book again in the future.

The Bell Quarters was a nice clean place to stay. It was relatively quiet except in the morning when you would hear the footsteps coming from upstairs. Also, you were about a 15-20 minute Uber ride from the French Quarter or Bourbon St. Even longer if you take the streetcar but the streetcar is your cheapest option which is easy to learn if you have Google Maps. Overall, you have your own kitchen, bathroom, bedroom, and tv so it was a good place to stay if you want to save money. Side note there is a liquor store which is a 5 minute walk from this place.

Close but not in the thick of it

The property was clean and close to most destinations in the French quarter, and garden district without being in them and surrounded by other tourists. It was easy to leave the busier areas and return to the property for the evening to relax.

My neighborhood, Milan, (pronounced MY-lin) showcases a wonderful mix of new homes and historic shotguns and cottages. Bounded by St. Charles and Claiborne avenues, many popular restaurants and retail shops are nearby such as Superior Seafood, Superior Grill, New Orleans Hamburger & Seafood/Coffee & Beignets and Martin Wine Cellar. The neighborhood is very attractive and walkable.
