This unit is half of a house built in 1860. We have recently renovated it and added some modern conveniences while trying to keep the charm and simplicity of days gone by. Downstairs has a laundry room, sunroom / dining room, a fireplaced living room open to the kitchen. The full bath is equipped with a an a great soaking tub / shower. Upstairs there are two bedrooms, a half bath and a sitting area. One room has a queen bed, the other with two twins. There is a futon that would be good overflow for an extra child. Outside you have access to Hammetâs Cove, a tributary of Sippican Harbor. Lots of space for relaxing, firepits and swings. If you are traveling with friends or family you may want to look at our sister property, Little Neck VRBO#2760896. Renting both properties allow you to be together and have your own space!
It is a wonderful base to explore all that Marion and the surrounding towns have to offer- it feels like a wonderful step back in time to slow days and easy comforts
We loved staying here! Kellie was a great host and the home was spacious and beautiful. We loved sitting by the water for breakfast, took lovely canoe ride during the day, and had a nice fire in the evening. I would love to visit again.
This property is so beautiful!! The house was perfect for my family of 4!!! Kellie is amazing. This is definitely where we would come back to stay when we vacation this way again.
Our stay was amazing! Kellie was so welcoming and helpful throughout our time there. The home is so gorgeous and cozy and is a great place to unwind at after a day of touring the area. The little eating area is the perfect place to enjoy a morning coffee and start the day. Highly revommend this place if you're loking for the Cape Cod feel!
Everything about the cottage was fantastic. It's a beautifully renovated antique house that really sets the beach mood. I almost felt like I was on a movie set.... We enjoyed kayaking, and the host couldn't have been more accommodating.
The property was lovely, so charming and homey. Kellie was kind and helpful with shopping and activitie suggestions that the girls would like, she made us and our little support dog feel very welcome. Definitely recommend this property for anyone that wants to be close to the big cities but still want that quaint setting away from the hustle and bustle!
This was a great house to stay . Beautifully renovated.
My family just loved it .
Owner made sure everything was perfect . I would definitely recommend this property
This review is for the one bedroom, water front cottage (sister property). The cottage was very clean and beautifully decorated. I rely enjoyed the SMEG fridge and tea pot! Kellie was such a gracious host. The property is on a working boat yard so there will be people in and out. We were not bothered by this at all. Everyone was very friendly and non intrusive. A perk of this property is enjoying the barn view of the water with comfortable outdoor seating. Ate at a local restaurant âCastâ and was highly impressed with their delicious options. Our only small issue was the bed size is a Queen, which is fully disclosed in the listing so I knew upon booking. We would definitely stay here again.
The property was more than I expected, with water access and outdoor seating, kayaks/paddleboards, and ping pong. It was really lovely, the house was adorable, and our host was so accommodating and kind. I would stay here again with my family in a heartbeat! 14/10 recommend.
We enjoyed our stay a lot. We loved the cosy environment directly at the water. It was located very practical for us as it was only a few minutes away from Tabor Academy. Kellie made us feel welcome and gave us some great recommendations on where to eat in the area and weâd definitely love for her to host us the next time weâre in Marion.
The house was clean and nice for an older structure. It appears that the surrounding land is used for boat storage or something. Didnât bother us but was unexpected. The house itself was clean and the property owner didnât bother us which is super nice. We would stay again!
Great stop on our road trip. Just as described. Son enjoyed a kayak paddle, which was a bonus. Note that stairs to bedrooms are steep and probably should be mentioned in description. Overall a great spot!
The house was by far the cleanest property we have stayed in to date. The house was filled with beautiful accents and was well stocked. The grounds were big and our favorite part was a couch set up overlooking the water. It was peaceful and beautiful and we miss the tranquilty afforded us in this rental.
Beautiful space and a really thoughtful host. Dog friendly. Great clawfoot bathtub to relax in and everything you need to cook your own meals. The hammock was a favorite spot of mine. The low ceilings upstairs and full-sized bed were a little tough for my 6'3" husband. The property is on a beautiful waterfront on a boat yard, and right on the main highway so you can get access to the cape, shopping, beach, etc. easily.
Myself and my three daughters stayed a week in this lovely beach cottage by the bay. We loved the unique beach decor with a mix of old style nautical and modern touches. We enjoyed sitting by the water, and watching the crabs and herons when low tide would come. Having a fire by the bay while the girls played ping-pong was just perfect. The host Kellie Was Great and very easy to communicate with for any needs that we needed or questions that we had. Having a beach pass to the local Silvershell Beach was so awesome, the beach itself was great and very close by. We enjoyed getting ice cream at Annieâs ice cream shop and sitting by the water and watching the boats. We would love to visit again and definitely recommend this rental to anyone! Thank you, Kellie We loved every second of it and every inch of your wonderful, inviting bayside rental home!
