Pittoresque et confortable bungalow de 3 chambres avec terrasse et grande cour, à quelques pas de la plage privée! L'océan Atlantique peut être vu depuis la porte d'entrée. Entièrement meublé. Les équipements incluent: Internet wifi, télévision par câble, climatisation, lave-vaisselle, gril, foyer, douche extérieure, et laveuse / sécheuse. Situé dans un quartier calme et familial. Très isolé, seulement 1 route d'entrée et de sortie. Idéal pour des promenades / courses paisibles et il y a de nombreuses pistes cyclables dans les environs. Capacité de 6 personnes confortablement. Parking hors rue pour 2 voitures. Un petit débarcadère est également disponible.

Près de nombreuses destinations touristiques, y compris Cape Cod (30 min), Boston (60 min), Newport RI (45 min) Martha's Vineyard et Nantucket Ferries (15 min), et New Bedford MA aka "La ville baleinière" (15 min) . Pas de pénurie de restaurants et de pubs avec de superbes vues sur la baie et les chantiers navals. Perfect getaway!

We had an awesome time at the cottage. It’s a quick walk to the neighborhood beach that is very clean. Beautiful area and the neighbors always smiled and waved as we went by. The house was fully equipped and had everything we needed and more and was clean. We only had to buy food- all soaps and supplies were provided which was nice. The owners Matt and Carly were very responsive and friendly and gave us some great recommendations for food (Turk’s is a must!) and activities.

Steps from the beach!

We had a very nice time at Carly and Matt's cottage. The location is great!...just steps from the beach. Carly was super responsive when we had questions, and also accomodating us with a last minute shift in dates when I got sick. And our pup enjoyed the yard and deck as well.

Nice location

It was a perfect location for my biking and kayaking activities and for dog walks. The nighborhood is quiet and dog friendly. The house was nicely set up with space for a dog bed and feeding area. It was easy to get acclimated and start the fun of summer vacation. Thank you!

Perfect beach vacation!

We've rented this house each summer for the past few years and always love our time here. The neighborhood is great, the beach is perfect with young kids, and there's plenty to do nearby on the cape or in New Bedford. Hope to be back again next summer!

Basic Accommodations

Property was nice for a basic stay. Cottage is old but in a nice location. The sofa and throw pillows smelled of dog and we swept up quite a bit of dust/dog hair from under sofa. The kitchen was short on utensils and a blender would have been nice to have on hand. We kept the damaged blinds up so we didn't have to look at them. A step outside each entry door would prevent safety issues. The washer/dryer worked great and the outdoor area was great.

Needle in a haystack

Great location! We love the beach and so does our dog. We had a beautiful week of weather in October. The house is old but the couple that rents it supplies everything you would need. I have rented twice and would do it all over again!

Wonderfully peaceful beach getaway.

Lovely area, short walk to ocean and uncrowded beach. Not elaborate but very clean, beachy and comfortable with many amenities provided by owners. Beautiful community …. Friendly folks and very safe. Had a wonderful stay.

Beach Stay

This property is located in a quiet community. We enjoyed the private beach (bring water shoes) and walks. The greater area has good food (we loved Turks) and local parks for young kids (Noah’s Park was so much fun we visited twice). The home itself is older. The pictures are accurate but upon arrival, it could use some love. Aside from the unfinished cosmetic work, the primary concern we had was the electrical. There were some non functional outlets / switches and the A/C in one bedroom was barely in the outlet because it couldn’t fit against the heating unity. The fixes for some of these were concerning, particularly in the case of the bathroom. The outlet was not working so there was an extension cord coming in from the hallway that was partially secured to the wall. As former landlords, this wouldn’t have passed code in our home state and had me on edge with young kids. Since the cord was mostly detached from the wall, we put the led into the hallway for the duration of our stay for fear of it falling into the sink. We’d also recommend you bring devices if you want to watch anything. We had issues with the TV and couldn’t get it to stream clearly but our laptop was fine (WiFi worked well).

MA Vacay

We loved everything about Matthew & Carly’s home. They provided everything we needed for our week long stay - towels, toilet paper, paper towels, beach supplies, the list could go on! Although the property is not within walking distance to any tourist attractions, it’s the perfect location - far enough away to enjoy the relaxation of a vacation, but close enough to drive to several top travel destinations! We checked several things off our bucket list - Boston, Salem & Cape Cod! We also spent a day at Water Wiz (the water park where Grown ups was filmed), which I highly recommend! It was so much fun for the entire family! Check in / out was a breeze. If we had any question, Matthew & Carly were quick to respond. We just loved everything about our stay! They were awesome hosts!

Great place for dogs by the beach

I had the pleasure of staying here for over three weeks while moving. The neighborhood was quiet and peaceful and the house was clean and well kept. Great place to stay and the bonus was that it was dog friendly. :)

Another great visit!

We stayed at this house in 2021 and enjoyed our time so much that we went back for a week this year. The neighborhood & private beach are fantastic, and the house is a perfect little beach cottage for a family. Can't wait to come back again next summer!

Cute house, nice yard. We had drinks around the fire pit.The doggie beach was perfect for our dog who loves the water. She went swimming every day,! The owners are very nice and very helpful. We had a lovely time and would consider renting again. Kelley & Shawn

Just loved our time in Mattapoisett

We just loved everything about the Talbots' rental. Location was just perfect. The beach was nice with soft sand and only a few rocks. The water clean and warm, no seaweed. The neighbors could not have been more friendly. The house is well stocked With thoughtful details. The layout was nice too. Bike path near by. Town beach pass provided. Only 6 miles or so to New Bedford which was great fun. I could go on and on. Stay here!

Relaxing Family Fun

The cottage has an open living space that is sunny and comfortable. We enjoyed sitting in the yard, which has lots of shade. Not too far from the beach and a real family area.

Fantastic family vacation!

We rented this cottage for a week for a beach vacation and it was perfect. The house is rustic and could use some updates however this is to be expected of a beach cottage. The location is great, very quiet neighborhood with mostly gravel/dirt roads great for family walks and bike rides. The private beach is fantastic, we never felt the need to visit the other local beaches. Local area had plenty to do with young kids - parks, museum and zoo within 20 minutes and plenty of shopping and dining options in nearby Fairhaven and New Bedford. Would absolutely visit again.

Awesome rental and neighborhood

The rental was very clean and spacious. They had everything needed there for our stay. The neighbors were friendly and the dogs loved the dog beach that was just down the road.

Family Beach Trip

We are both lifelong Massachusetts residents and Matt has vacationed in Mattapoisett every summer since he was a young child when his parents purchased the property. We currently reside in the Greater Boston area with our dog, Lion.

We wanted to keep the property in the family and have a place to enjoy with our own children. It’s a wonderful, close knit neighborhood where you can always expect a smile and a wave from the other residents. We enjoy bringing our dog to the dog beach and walking the many trails in the Nasketucket Reservation.

The cottage is located in a quiet & family-friendly neighborhood where you can always expect a smile and wave from the other residents. The Atlantic Ocean is visible from the house. You get the Cape Cod-feel without dealing with the notorious traffic, expensive dining and crowded beaches. Close to many tourist attractions and no shortage of excellent restaurants.
