Wonderful stay in this bright, open studio. The terrace provided beautiful views every morning with coffee. Great location and so quiet! Everything we needed and an easy walk to so many restaurants and bars. We loved the Beer Garden and Maision Olivier for cheese, salami and wine. Plus all the restaurant recommendations. Loved this friendly, quiet neighborhood and studio. Highly recommend!
My daughter (22) and I stayed here for a few days while traveling through. It was a great place. The view, the location, both second to none. The proprietor was super nice. So easy to walk to the train, restaurants, the market, the sights. This town and this location are on my list to return to.
We absolutely loved this place, right in the heart of Avignon. It was spotlessly clean, contemporary simple and stylish. The bed was enormous! The views across the roof to the Pope's Palace were fantastic. It was quiet and secure. The wide terrace was lovely to sit out and have a picnic. I would highly recommend it to travellers.
This property is situated in a great location in the centre of Avignon. We enjoyed an evening glass of wine on the terrace with great views of the Palais Des Papes after our days exploring the surrounds.
Loved my stay at this apartment. Would be cautious if you're over 6 ft of the bathroom as you have to duck down a little. Great location and walking distance to everything. Highly recommend picking up some food and wine and enjoying sunset on the patio.
The apartment was superb, with a gorgeous view over the city. Gabriel was really lovely and so quick to respond to a check in challenge. She was really attentive and we had a wonderful time in the property. The kitchen was small but it had a fridge and microwave, with a few staples in the cupboard so we could make food in the apartment. Thanks for having us!
We absolutely loved our stay here. Gorgeous views of the papal palace from the roof top balcony. The room us spacious and perfect for two people. We slept very well- quiet and comfortable. Out the door everything is within walking distance. Would love to go back for a longer stay.
Delightful bijou apartment in a quiet area but close to main thoroughfares. Easy walking all around the old city. Boulangerie, small supermarket, various shops and cafes within 200m. Private terrace with views over the pan-tiled roofs and the papal palace, not overlooked. Host pleasant and courteous. Shower room doorway quite low, but spacious shower and plenty of hot water. Not perhaps for the very tall or those who want to cook full meals, but it suited me perfectly.
This was a stunning stay. I love how close everything is! It's about a 20min walk from the central train station, and then about the same amount to anything and everything that you'd care to see in Avignon. The clincher is the beautiful terrace that gives you front row seats to the Provencal sunsets.
Some of the reviews mention the slanting roof, and I would also say that taller people would need to be aware that certainly in the washroom you're going to hit your head if you're not paying attention to your surroundings, but it's a small price to pay for a beautiful room.
The view is really just as great as on the photo and the roof terrace is lovely. It only, as others mentioned before, could do with a parasol: If you want to have some coffee on it, make sure it is your morning coffee. In the afternoon sun it just gets too hot (inside the studio too, so better lower the shutters during day time outings - however, the AC works a treat). The room itself is nicely furnished and the bed is huge and very comfortable. Like some others, we occasionally slightly hit our heads on the way to the toilet. But the shower gives you ample space in all directions, up as well as sideways - one learns fast where to bow and where to stand upright. The little "kitchen" consists of a decently sized fridge, a good microwave, a coffee machine and an electric kettle, but it says so on the booking page and being prepared for this we didn't lack anything, only the kettle was really very small and we didn't manage to remove the scale. But these "negatives" were really minor things - we very much loved our stay on the top floor of a beautiful building! It is in the middle of the walled old town near shops and restaurants and yet it was absolutely quiet at night, even during the weekends. It is a bit difficult to reach by car but we had much appreciated help from the owner with a car that couldn't pass ours when we unloaded our stuff. We had a really great stay and would very much recommend the studio (+suggest to the friendly owners to consider supplying a parasol).
The apartment is located on the top floor of an impressive old building. It is equipped in a plain, functional way. The bed is a king-size and would also accomodate friends travelling together. The rooftop terrasse is spacious with afternoon and evening sunshine and spectacular views.
Basic kitchen accessories are provided. To note, there is no separate sink, and guests need to use the bathroom sink to wash the dishes. I would recommend a bin with a lid.
There was a total lack of communication prior as well as during my 9-night stay. I had sent notes upon booking as well as 3 days prior to arrival to advise of a late arrival and share details as well as my mobile phone number: no replies. At 10pm on the night prior to arrival I still hadnât received any check-in information and sent SMS to the mobile phone numbers provided by the booking platform. That finally triggered a curt reply with instructions how to self check-in. On the next day I reconfirmed after having checked-in: no reply. On departure again no proactive communication regarding check-out. Only when I sent a SMS on the departure day did I receive a short reply where to deposit the keys. Not once prior or during my stay did the host extend any kind of verbal welcome, nor did they share an âenjoy your stayâ, inquire if I they can help with anything or if anything was missing or wish a safe trip home. I did not feel welcome.
Beautiful terrace in a modern top floor studio apartment with gorgeous view of the Palace of the Papes
But only suitable for a short stay due to lsck of a proper kitchenette
This small apartment was in the old town of Avignon with a wonderful balcony looking over the Papal Palace. The host was a lovely man who helped us with our suitcases up the many steps to the apartment. We would recommend this place if you have only small light bags but not if like us you have large bags! Also the apartment has a sloping roof so not so good if you are tall - the bathroom is height restricted too. The bed was a little hard for us. This apartment is in a perfect location to walk to all the attractions of Avignon & has nearby cafes bars etc and a delicious boulangerie a minute away! We enjoyed our stay here
