Hidden Creek Studio in Lake Forest Park!

Welcome to your hideaway studio on a quiet, forested lot, yet just a few minutes away from essential services and twenty minutes by car from downtown Seattle. You'll enjoy the entire studio with a queen bed, one bathroom, sitting area, and a kitchenette with a fridge, microwave and coffee maker. The studio is attached to our home and has a private entrance from the back yard. Take a stroll down our trail to McAleer Creek and enjoy the Overlook Deck with your morning coffee or an afternoon beverage.

The space: The studio is on a wooded, one and a half acre property along a creek greenbelt in the city of Lake Forest Park, just outside Seattle. Explore the creek and trail on the property, or take a relaxing walk in a quiet residential neighborhood. Shops, restaurants and amenities are close by. Located just one mile (1.6 km) from the Shoreline North light rail station with connections to the University of Washington, Capitol Hill, Downtown, stadiums, the International District and SeaTac Airport.

Outdoor amenities: In addition to the studio itself, walk the vintage brick path to the Overlook Deck on the edge of the creek ravine, and follow the trail down to the creek. Listen for owls, occasional coyotes, and watch for woodpeckers and rabbits along the way. The Overlook Deck is a shared space with your hosts, as is the outdoor table and sitting area on the concrete pad under the maple tree.

Other things to note: The brick path to the Overlook Deck and the trail to the creek are uneven, steep in parts and slippery when wet. These amenities are not readily available for guests with mobility limitations.

Husband and wife getaway

Hidden creek studios is an excellent place to stay. The studio is on the backside of the house with its own entrance. Beautiful interior, clean, quiet and in a nice neighborhood. Janne and his wife were very polite and gave us space. Everything was close food or groceries and very convenient to downtown Seattle. Loved the accommodations!

Feels secluded, yet close to everything

Easy access, quiet, comfortable, clean, and full of amenities. But most importantly, it is a SAFE location. I was in the area for a show at the Paramount. Due to safety concerns, staying in Seattle was not an option. This spot was perfect! I felt perfectly safe and it was a quick trip to get downtown. And how can you argue with the rate?! I would definitely book again.

Perfect location, close to main roads, interstate, and still Serene surroundings.

The studio is equipped with all necessary items. The owners have thought every detail through. They are very prompt with communication. The place was clean, safe and very comfortable. I would recommend it without hesitation.

Cozy cabin in beautiful neighborhood

What an adorable place. The location was picturesque, the place was clean. Janne was so good with clear communication. The place was fully stocked with everything you could need and lots of great local recommendations and info. Would definitely recommend this place and would stay here again!

Cozy retreat with a beautiful garden area

Our 3 night stay was perfect in this lovely, cozy studio. Everything we needed for our little getaway was available & then some…thanks Janne for the welcome drinks. Nice touch! The guest book was one of the most comprehensive I’ve ever seen. Be sure to eat at the Local 104, one of Janne’s recommendations. Try the wood fired pizza & the house salad…delicious! The studio was very clean, comfortable & zen like, especially with the peaceful garden view. We hope to be back sometime soon!

Has everything you need!

Nice, quaint place to stay. Has everything you need as long as you’re not planning on cooking any real meals. Property is lovely and access was easy. Backyard view is really pretty. Bed is really squeaky and the mattress and pillows could use an upgrade. They’re very soft and worn. That’s really the only “issue” but it’s not a big deal for a short stay. Would stay again!

Great location, comfortable home

This place is well-organized, and well maintained. Whenever I thought of something I hadn't brought, like salt and pepper, if I looked around I found some. It's not fancy, but neither is anything tacky. We were happy to have this retreat from our delightful but rowdy toddler and preschool great grandchildren who we came to visit.

Absolutely beautiful

I have to say, I was not excited about traveling to Seattle for work. But staying in this little forest, VRBO was exactly what I needed after a busy day in the city. Easy to find, clean, quiet, safe, nice owners, everything was absolutely perfect!

A perfect home away from home

I travel a lot for work and found this tranquil gem to be a perfect place to unwind and relax away from home. Love the neighborhood. Quiet and peaceful. There were fun little touches i wasn’t expecting. Definitely going to bool this place again when i travel to seattle.

Awesome getaway!!

My wife and I came to Seattle for a weekend getaway and this was perfect! In a quiet neighborhood with beautiful yard. It was so nice to go stand on the deck in the morning with a coffee. Janne was the perfect host with great communication. I would recommend for any couple wanting to get away !!

In my 50's, married, with two young adult children. My wife Ellen and I have lived in the Seattle area since 1996, but both grew up in California. With both kids now in college, we decided to start hosting and are excited to share our amazing, serene, forested property with our guests at Hidden Creek Studio.

This is a very special property, nestled in the woods, with a creek. It feels far away, yet it is just over a mile away from essential services, interstate 5, and 20 minutes from downtown Seattle (with light traffic). We are located just one mile from the Shoreline North Light Rail station with connections to downtown Seattle, the International District, sports stadiums and Sea-Tac Airport.

Quels sont les atouts de cet hébergement ?

The property is very well located for easy access to Seattle, Bellevue, Everett as well as the ferry landing in Edmonds which is a great jumping off point to the Olympic Peninsula.
