Getaway to a quiet neighborhood house (MIL suite) with garden & creek view
Would you like to sleep with the lullaby of the babbling creek while enjoying a short - 13 mile - drive to the downtown Seattle? Then this is the place you would like to stay! This is a cozy, welcoming MIL suite with a separate entry and renovated bathroom, new floor, new windows, and newly installed separate heaters. Easy access to I-5 (5 min) and Lake Washington & Burke Gilman Trail within a walking distance. There's a bus stop right in front of the house, too.
The host was really responsive with any questions that we had. The place was decent, but didnât feel very clean. The mini fridge had a pool of water underneath it upon arrival, and while cleaning it up we found a giant spider on the counter. We figured it was just the one, and went about our vacation. In total, we had to kill 5 LARGE spiders. I think this place would be fine if you were staying for a night, maybe two. It has a really pretty view, but unfortunately the room with the nice view is where we kept finding spiders. It could be really nice if it was updated a bit more, and cracks were filled in to avoid bugs everywhere.
We basically just needed a place to sleep and get ready for the day the next morning. Nice quiet location, clean, no frills with a comfortable bed. This place worked well for our needs. Thank you to our host who was very personable and helpful.
Les points faibles : Communication et exactitude de lâannonce
Not as described. We were told in the booking that there would be a fridge and stove top, it was a mini fridge and hotplate. One of the beds is falling apart. The host and his family were not only up and loud in until 11 pm most of the time they also had a party during our stay! Internet didn't work half the time. If you're allergic to cats stay away, also not in the description of the house. Host also messaged at midnight to apologize for the cat meowing. If you stay bring your own towels. We were offered a towel a piece for the week we stayed. Do not recommend for more than a night or if ever.
Space is very easy to get to with great parking. Clean and well equipped. The âbabbling brookâ sounds from the window in the living room were very pleasant. Great coffee! Would recommend for a couple or single person.
In town for my niece's graduation. Just needed a place to sleep as we were spending most every waking moment with family. Conveniently located, easy check in and out process. Place was cute and comfy if we were to spend more time in it.
There is cute restaurant a short walk away. Convenient location near Highway 5 which is the thorough fare for getting to and from many different neighborhoods in the Seattle area.
Such a charming place!!! It was so clean, and felt like a home away from home. We will definitely put it as a place to come back to, when we visit family in the area again.
Check in couldnât have been easier since all of the necessary information was provided by the property manager in the pre-arrival message. The unit was spotlessly clean and it was easy to see where things were. The kitchen cabinets were labeled as to their contents so finding things was easy. The bed was particularly comfortable and made a huge positive impact during my stay. The unit was quiet, contained all of the necessary amenities and I would look forward to staying again in the future. I had no direct interaction with the property manager during my stay, but it was not a problem for me since everything that I needed was attended to.
It was a comfortable stay! The neighborhood was quiet and safe. The bus stop it right in front.
Just a note: dont use more than one appliance at a time or the power will go out.
Other than that, it was cozt.
Andrew is friendly and responsive. The apartment is conveniently located near Lake Washington, the Link train, Edmunds Beach, and the Kingston Ferry. The apartment is equipped with everything one would need and is clean & tidy. We will definitely stay there again when we visit family next year.
The property perfectly suited me in terms of cost and amenities. The only downside was no laundry facilities but Andrew made his own available to me which was very kind. The shower is walk-in and there were times when I would have preferred a tub to soak in after a long hike but such are the trade-offs.
The location is excellent. Right near the convergence point for I-405 north and I-5 north with easy access to all points north e.g. Mt. Vernon, Whidbey Island and Canada and all points south e.g. Seattle, Redmond, Olympia. The location is a nice walk from a really decent pizza and ale place called the Local104.
Additionally, if you like pleasant walks on autumn days next to a scenic lake, the famous Burke-Gilman hike and bike trail is just a walk away. An additional benefit is that route 104 (the main route next to the location) is a straight shot to Edmonds (a really fun little town with a great blues bar) and the ferry to the Olympic peninsula which contains the Olympic National Park. It has one of the only two temperate rain forests in the contiguous 48 states).
In short, if you want easy access to scenic highways, the Puget Sound, the mountains and a great nightlife, this place gave me that.
The unit was very cute and comfortable, in an adorable area. Parking was also very easy and convenient.
It was a bit loud at times and we were unable to use the tv because because it kept glitching and then the power would go out (2-3 times). We ended up watching on a laptop with hotspot.
We had a lovely stay and would book here again. It was also close to a very cute coffee truck in an Airstream, highly recommend.
