We are in our 70s and weâre not prepared to climb a tall ladder to climb into bed. We left after 2 nights and went to a hotel nearby. Just really unable to sleep well. Great location.
Great location, host was kind and responsive. The apartment was clean and well-stocked. The only real issue is that getting in and out of the loft bed was not for the faint of heart. There's not head clearance at the top of the ladder and I had to belly crawl over to the bed where the ceiling was higher.
This was the perfect size for two people. It was clean, easy to access and not far from anything we hoped to see in Paris. The neighborhood was calm but did have many fun restaurants, bars and boulangeries throughout. Would stay here again and would recommend to anyone!
I would absolutely stay here again!Fantastic location with museums, restaurants and shops close by. I would absolutely stay here again!Itâs a small attic studio with tons of character, exposed beams and a cozy loft bed. Through itâs small the space is used well. There was plenty of storage and the kitchen was well equipped. It was very hot while I while I was in Paris and the apartment had AC! This was amazing! To be able to come home in the evening and relax in a cool apartment was such a bonus. I got sick while in Paris and the manager was so helpful in arranging for me to stay an extra day so I didnât have to move. She got back to me right away. I only have one suggestion, which is to get a bigger fan or extra AC for the loft. This probably isnât necessary 11 months out of 12, but in the crazy hot weather we had, I couldnât sleep up there. The AC was great on the main floor and didnât reach the loft at all. I slept on the couch downstairs. Iâm a smallish person so I was pretty comfy (though a more cushiony couch would have been awesome!), but it wouldnât work for someone else. Again this is just a suggestion for next summer since climate change seems to indicate that summers wonât cool down. Everything else was just lovely.
Excellent experience; just know it's a small unit.
The unit is as advertised, but I didn't realize it was as small as it was. Luckily, it was a short stay, and we had no problems sharing a small space and climbing into the loft to sleep. Communication was excellent, and customer service was outstanding. We arrived late; they met us at the apartment and thoroughly oriented us to the apartment and local area. It was a vibrant community with many bars and restaurants and was close to multiple metro stops.
I stayed, solo, for 2 weeks and couldn't be more pleased with the apartment, and the neighborhood is lively (in a good way - not too loud or anything)! Hosts were very responsive and supportive. Other reviews about the loft ladder being a bit challenging are accurate, but I'm very tall and in late middle age, and had no problem navigating it. Would absolutely stay here again!
The communication was quick and precise, the check in process was on time. The place was very cute, but as my partner and I are very tall, it was a little difficult to get around. They were also very accommodating when we had to cut the stay short. Thank you!
Although it is small apartment has everything you need. The landlords were responsive and helpful. The AC worked well. The loft got very hot but cooled down quickly with the fan and opening the window. The ladder to the loft needs a railing. There is nothing to hold onto to get down. Neighborhood is great with easy access to several metros.
On the downside, it's small and has sloping walls that made for frequent head bumps. But it was also clean, sell appointed and had everything I needed. I loved the loft bed and large windows on each side of the apartment that allowed for a lovely cross-breeze during the day and while I slept. The neighborhoods is alive with cafes and restaurants and filled with young people and vitality. Republique is just blocks away and metro stations are all around, All in all, if you don't mind a small space, this place was a real value and a great location.
The key to this apartment is the location. It is in the heart of a lively neighborhood with many bars, restaurants and bakeries literally on the same block and you can find anything you want within a 5 minute walk. The Parmentier Metro station is a 2 or 3 minute walk away. Hop on the Metro or grab a rental bike and you are 20 minutes from all the most famous tourist attractions throughout the city. The host is nice and communication was clear. Check-in was easy. Note that the address # is on the awning of the business next to the entrance to the apartments. The actual entry is through the blue doors to the left of that business. The apartment is well maintained. This apartment has limitations( none were problematic for us we are giving this property an enthusiastic 5 stars- just noting for others). It is up 2 flights of narrow stairs. The apartment is very small. The bed is in a high loft and if you are a restless sleeper falling out would be very possible. The ladder to the loft bed is steep and only for those with excellent mobility. We highly recommended this apartment for those traveling alone or only with a companion with no mobility limitations. When we travel to Paris this apartment will be on the top of our list!
