Pirate's Cove is located at Savannah Beach and Racquet Club. It is located on the second floor with pool and ocean views! Bedroom is private with a queen bed and one full bath. Additional guests sleep on the queen pullout sofa. Enjoy the views and sea breeze from your private balcony. You are only steps away to North Beach sun and sand! The sun sets over the North side of the Island and this is where the dolphins chase the shrimp boats!
I didn't like that the bathroom water smelled like ocean water, it smelled horrible and there wasn't at television in the bedroom. The shower water and bathroom sink water smelled horrible
This property is great! The check in process is different, but went fine. Upon checking in our roomâs exterior door had no lock. Management immediately moved us into a nearby room that was just as nice. Communication with management was amazing! The pool was awesome, plenty of seating. Easy access to the beach. They offer rentals of beach chairs, wagons, umbrellas, beach toys, and more. So convenient and affordable. They delivered the beach chairs right to our room! Plenty of entertainment and restaurants nearby too.
We've stayed at this location several times. But, never the same room number. This room (A-206) was small but nice. The only thing a have to say about the apt. was the toilet was very slow flushing and the hot water would run out after one shower. We never received our parking pass and my wife was stressed for while wondering if we would be towed or not. Other than that it was fine.
The house was clean and fresh. The view was great. I and my family enjoyed the stay. I really enjoyed staying in walking distance from the beach. The area was quiet not busy during our stay (April 13-15). Loved that it was a grocery store near (IGA). Which I bought some fruits, shrimps and other breakfast food. Overall, it was great. We all enjoyed our stay. Thank you!
Stay was excellent. Clean and smelled fresh upon arrival. Could see the beach from the balcony if you are outside on it. The beach access is actually where the Savannah river and at Atlantic meet which is absolutely perfect for small children as there are very few waves. The other beaches which are like 5-10 minutes away have the normal waves youâd expect from a beach.
Nice area. Very nice pool and beach. The bath needs serious updates and plumbing repairs. The sliding glass door to the balcony is almost unusable. Either replace or at least lubricate it so itâs easier to use. Also the balcony is unusable in the afternoon sun. Either upgrade the fan or install shades.
Please look closely at the pictures. (We should have.) The rooms were smaller than they appeared. The balcony view of the beach is somewhat obstructed by the pool and other things. You can see it, but it's not a full view. (Picture #4 is fairly accurate. #24 is a zoom-in.) It would have been nice to have a towel rack in the bathroom. We were also disappointed that there is only one small 3-drawer dresser for clothes, but that's all that would fit in the bedroom.
On the plus side, the pool was very nice and the location of the complex was convenient. Getting to the beach was a short walk on the boardwalk, although there are stairs at the end which are not pictured.
Although it's unlikely that we (husband and myself) will stay there again, I am sure that others will not see our objections as deal-breakers.
We absolutely loved this part of Tybee Island. It was so quiet! We were first timers to the island. The location was perfect. The condo was perfect for myself, my husband and our daughter! Will definitely come back, hopefully next year sometime! Our daughter loved it!
We drove 9 hours to arrive at the property and were so disappointed. The website boasts ocean view and shows photographs that do not accurately depict the property or the view. Upon arrival there were towels and underwear hanging off the railings of several guest rooms. Loud music and smoking from other guests felt like a frat party not a relaxing island getaway. The view from the very small balcony was of a parking lot. You could lean over and crane your head to the right and see a small corner of some water. Not ocean front. The unit had a chemical smell that immediately gave us a headache and I became nauseous. We decided that we would not stay in this place. I attempted to return the key fob to the lock box and the door of the lock box would not close. The property company would not talk on phone only text. They were rude and demanding and would not even discuss cancellation. They did kindly offer another even smaller room in Savannah of course for a hefty price. We spent the next 2 days hotel hopping. We could have gone to the Greek Isles for what this wasted trip to Tybee Island cost us.
