Very nice two-bedroom home, tucked away for a quite get away with views of the channel. Nice size back yard with deck. Within walking distance to Memorial Park and boat launch. Please ask about our cancelation policy. Parking for 2 cars only.

Pet friendly home. $75. (Per pet) will be added to your reservation. THIS HOME DOES NOT PROVIDE LINENS OR TOWELS. PLEASE BRING YOUR OWN OR CALL US TO RENT THEM.

Cancellations made 30 days prior to arrival will receive 100% of refund of all monies minus $ 39 Processing Fee and Any Credit Card Convenience Fees Paid.  If less then 30 days: the advanced rent is only refundable subject to the following: The property is re-rented for the same period. Re-rental of less than a full week will be refunded on a pro-rated basis. The Agent will retain a $39.00 processing charge, and any convenience fees charged. *Deposits are not refunded for ANY reason (including bad weather).

Lovely little getaway

Adorable little bungalow. Perfect fir a small family. Big plus is it is pet friendly. Walking distance to Memorial Park. This is our 2nd time staying, can't wait to return.

House was very quaint and cozy. The main bedroom could be a bit larger. The wifi wouldn't connect to our laptops. It did, however, connect to our cellphones. We would come back again.

Yes it could use some updating but it was affordable, comfortable, and functional. We had no issues and really enjoyed our stay. Just a short drive to restaurants and the Nature Preserve. The neighbor we met was very friendly and he made our dog and us feel very welcome.

Not impressed by this property mainly because of the horrible bathroom, the garbage issue, and some other things. The bathroom was very small with a very small sink and the tub looked very dirty. The shower was not impressive either with old knobs. No pillows were provided and this was never mentioned on the listing. The silverware was not appealing to use so we used plastic utensils instead. Everything else looked ok. The TV was very easy to cast to using our own app. Just remember to log out of the tv app after using it. Due to it being off season, the instructions in the package said to drop off the garbage at a community center. We had to load all of the garbage and take it out ourselves. This was VERY inconvenient. The instructions also said for us to vacuum the property before we leave but the bill added in a hefty charge already for cleaning!!! The view behind the property was very peaceful. However, we will never book this property again.

Never met the host, but everything was in place for us. After hours check-in was simple and easy. The cottage was just right with everything we needed. Information provided in advance set us up for success. Check-out was just as easy. We greatly enjoyed the peace and quiet. Ventured out twice, once to drive to and explore Assateague (lighthouse and beach) and dinner in town at Bill’s Prime. Regret missing the Wallop’s Island NASA Visitors Center; have to come back again!

Reviewer Comments: the weather turned out exceptional. the cottage was cozy,ac worked well .it was clean and for the most part very quiet. my only peeve was the dogs across the driveway were quite annoying. We enjoyed our week; with shopping and walking on the beach at Assateague. A great memory for the love of my life to turn another year older at her favorite place !

Cosy and well located

I rented this property for my mom, and she really enjoyed it here. She had everything she needed, and said that the bed and the living room were very comfortable. For my part, finding that the owners were nearby (everyone is nearby on Chincoteague!) gave me peace of mind for her safety. We even hosted a small dinner here (5 people) and found that the kitchen worked out just fine. Overall we had a great experience with this property and would certainly rent it again should the occasion arise!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Mae's Landing was ideal for our stay. It was just the right size for us and our dog, and the location was ideal. I highly recommend it. There are good restaurants within easy reach whether driving or walking, and the location is far enough from the center of town to guarantee a quiet stay and a good night's sleep. The nature preserves are no more than 15 minutes' drive from the cottage, which is great. The property itself was spotless and well maintained. We had no complaints whatsoever, and we'd be more than happy to come back for a return visit.

No sharp knives had to cut an Italian bread with a cheese knife. Left the place cleaner than arrival, the air conditioner cover and old heater in floor were very dirty. The floors were not clean (cleaners) and the front storm door lock mechanism was hanging loosely by one screw when we arrived. We called the office, they said someone would be out but no one was. Great location, we loved the front deck and that the water was so close!

Everything we needed

This cottage is compact, comfortable and a great base for exploring Assateague. A short walk to Memorial Park and convenient to town.
