The location of the apartment is great! Quiet neighborhood but close to everything. You can even see the Eiffel Tower from the street! You can easily access public transportation. Nicole was very kind and allowed us to check in very early after. The place has the basics which was just fine as we were mostly out and about exploring. It so important to note that the bathroom is down steep steps which was fine for our family but may be challenging for some. Would stay again
We were visiting Paris with our teenage daughters for a couple of days of sightseeing. This apartment was in perfect location for walking to sites as well as catching the Big tour bus. There are many great restaurants near by also. We would recommend!
Great location for a family in Paris, with easy access to Eiffel Tower, Arc de Triomphe, and bus and metro lines. Multiple restaurant options right nearby. Apartment contains a washer/dryer, dishwasher, microwave, and Nespresso coffee maker. Beds each big enough for two people.
Property was nice, good location view of Eiffel Tower from front door, easy communication with owner. Stairs like others said were creaky. Owner kept asking when we would check out...told her around the check out time of 11, but would text her if it was earlier...someone still showed up to get in when we hadn't even left yet Checkout time says 11. It was about 10:50 and owners spouse? Housekeeper? was already trying to get into our apartment...the checkout felt a bit pushy.
This property is in a great location to walk to most of the major tourist attractions. Finding the correct door for the apartment was slightly confusing. Two doors looked the same but it was all figured out. Could have had a few more amenities like extra toilette supplies, napkins or paper towels and hand towels. Plenty of bath towels which was nice. Beds were not very comfortable but fine for 2 nights. Bedrooms on the first floor were bright early in the morning because of lack of some window coverings. Overall, it was a great place to lay our heads for 2 days in Paris!
Don't rent from this lady. I made the mistake of asking her about reliable transportation, she didn't respond until next day. She told me call her on WhatsApp when we arrived, on arrival she tells me apartment is not ready and she can put us up in different apartment for the night. We were standing in train station with 4 kids, we hesitantly accepted her offer. Apartment was dirty, towels were dirty and worn, smelled like mold, sheets were dirty, comforter was dirty. Those towels were so worn that you couldn't use it to clean floors let alone use it on your body or your children. I slept on mattress on the floor with my daughters which she apparently calls bed, my husband slept on the coach/sofa bed with with our younger 2 kids. Downstairs bedroom and bathroom smelled like mold. Top step on the stairs was loose and cracked.
We lost day of vacation because we kept looking for place to stay last minute. We ended up going to hotel nearby.
Original apartment we booked was supposed to be 15 minutes from eiffel tower, she put us in apartment that was more than 30 minutes walk from eiffel tower. I believe she probably thought she can take advantage of us because I asked her about reliable transportation. Probably thought we are naive.
She is deceptive. Absolutely horrendous experience. Don't ever use her property.
Perfect location with great view of Effiefel tower when you step out your door. Walking distance to Eiffel tower and arc de triumph and subway/buses. Many restaurant choices within a block
A plus to have a washer/dryer. Host quickly responded to questions, such as how to use the washer/dryer. Full equipped kitchen
As noted in other reviews know that bathroom and one bedroom is done a steep stairs. This wasnât a problem for us as stairs has a railing. Check supplies on arrival as we needed to stock paper towels and restock toilet paper. Markets are within a block or two
I would come again
Nicole is an amazing host. She was very communicative and went beyond to help us with luggage drop and follow up. The maid was running late and had the key. Nicole tracked her down and kept us informed. Since she was running late the floors didnât get cleaned. Minor issue, This place a all about location. Right off Kleber Blvd. great restaurants, groceries, bakeries, all a short walk to the Arc de Triumphe and the Eiffel Tower. Also two metro stops to get you around. Steep stairs to the bathroom are only a concern if you struggle to get around. The basics are there. Most of your stay is out of the apartment, so a great place to crash at the end of the day.
Pro:
Location was fabulous!
Close to metro, restaurants, grocery store.
Eiffel Tower within easy walking distance. Same for Arch and Champs.
Restaurant immediately to the right of the apt is a fabulous Italian.
Cons
Do note the steep stairs and low ceiling associated to the downstairs. This leads to the only bathroom. Stairs creak and are really loud at night so take care in knowing this.
Handle in the bathroom was broken and a Scissors was in the hole to open and close. This was quite a challenge as we had two younger children with us. Notified Nicole and she gave a quick response.
Instructions for the combo washer dryer would be helpful. Dryer takes a loooong time and you'll need to do extra drying on that cycle.
We initially had booked this place at a set price. We needed to add a day. Unfortunately Nicole would not honor our original price for the initial booking and charged us more for all days including the extra day.
This is a wonderful location with many restaurants and bars within very close walking distance, and the owner is very responsive to requests and repairs.
I was surprised that the third bedroom and bathroom are down a very steep staircase, (compared to American staircases), and the bedroom does not have a window. This could be an issue for anyone with claustrophobia or safety concerns. Both of these issues may just be from my American filter that all bedrooms must have windows. I am not familiar with French building codes.
Otherwise, a great location, and it is close to two great Metro stops, and the Baccarat Crystal Museum, which is so fun to go through.
