Large windows overlooking streets of historic South Highlands makes this cozy!
This is a second floor unit of a duplex. Home furnishings and decor are brand new. The centralized location and large windows overlooking one of Shreveport's most charming areas are a couple of the many things we love about this cozy apartment. Just minutes away from shopping, arts, local hangouts, Oschners hospital, the college and downtown Shreveport--this is the ideal location for any traveler!
I've stayed at this property before. It's a simple place, well located, in a safe and quiet neighborhood. I've enjoyed staying here, and I will gladly do so again.
Needed a place for a few days due to home remodel. This place was exactly what we needed. Location was very convenient to everything. We found it clean and ready for us to relax. Would love to stay again!
My family & I stayed here for 5 nights during Thanksgiving 2022. It is located in a safe neighborhood, close to everything. The host was great with communication and assistance when we needed to add an extra night. Unit is clean & comfortable. We look forward to staying here again when in town!
We spent a lot of time elsewhere and the unit was fine for out purposes. Parking was a bit tight with four vehicles and downstairs renters that did not know how to park. The unit was clean and furnishings were fine. As someone else pointed out in another review, the carpet needs some work. The ungrounded outlets were a surprise but I was able to charge my laptop on the grounded outlet in the kitchen. Overall it suited my needs.
There were dirty dishes, flies in the glasses, NO soap of any kind (bath, hand). Only 2 bath towels. 2 dish towels that did not appear to be clean. Very few dishes if you are actually going to try to cook. Mainly plastic. Random pan. Will not be staying again.
Amenities advertised for the property were not accurate. There is no hot tub and although there is a fireplace...it's only for aesthetics. Carpet has multiple stains and needs to be restretched. Do not plan on making meals at this house...there is absolutely NO cabinet space and minimal utensils. Coffee table is paper thin and the leg falls off. The listing doesn't clearly mention that this is a dual dwelling...guests downstairs AND upstairs! We were upstairs and the oldest of us had just turned 65.
Downstairs guests were very loud and the front door to the property has no capability of being locked...only the individual doors to the 2 dwellings! To say we didn't feel safe is an understatement! We ended up getting locked in one bedroom and the bathroom, luckily there were 3 of us so we could summon someone to come to our aid.
Washing machine only has hot water running to it! Only positive was the nice neighborhood and comfortable beds. We have no plans to return to this location.
My sister and I stayed several nights and loved the place. 2 nice sized bedrooms and the living/dining area was perfect when our other (3) sisters dropped by. Location was just what we wanted - close to Highland and South Highlands. And our hostess (and her patient husband) got me out of the mess I created with the TV cable service!
This was our first VRBO stay and it could not have been better. Catherine was always quick to respond to questions and was beyond courteous. The property iwas in a beautiful old neighborhood and the house itself was clean and well maintained. Iâd definitely stay here again if I had the opportunity!
This two-bedroom upstairs apartment is neat and clean, in a quiet and nice neighborhood, and near to convenient shopping. Downtown Shreveport is just down the road, easy of access. The host is an attentive communicator. I enjoyed my stay and will return again for some reading, resting, and a little roaming about.
The house was great just how it is listed. It is a older home but very well mantined and clean. In a nice neighborhood. Very close to good food and shopping. Will stay there again and will recommend to family and friends.
The apartment is just as cute as the pictures. It is quiet and warm; all of the kitchen appliances work perfectly (a very rare find in the short term rental market). We would stay there again without hesitation.
The property is accurately described on the VRBO site.
This home is on a lovely residential street and close to everything in Shreveport/Bossier City area. Catherine was a wonderful host and extremely fast responding to any questions. There is a lovely family occupying the first floor and we enjoyed their Halloween excitement.
