Charming home- Downtown Cody - Sleeps up to 9! Detached GAME ROOM with bed!
Choosing our home, you get the best of both worlds. It is just 2 blocks from Cody's top rated restaurants and experiences, but in a quiet neighborhood to ensure a peaceful nights rest. Our 100 year old home has been updated, but still has the charming character of an old home. The fenced back yard is adorned with lilac bushes providing privacy. Our street is named after George Bleistein, one of the settlers Buffalo Bill brought to Cody. Hence the name, The Bleistein.
The host requires you complete the following before checking out:
Please gather all used towels and start the white towels in the washer with the laundry pods provided. Please donât wash the black towels with the white ones.
The property was quite charming. We had a wonderful time and enjoyed the property. The location was just a block from downtown and walking distance to some nice places to eat and shop. Woke up to a small herd of deer in the back yard which were beautiful to watch in the snow. Highly recommend this place.
Overall, we really enjoyed this property. It had a lot of charm to it. The backyard was really nice to sit out in in the morning. It was close to everything and very clean. The host also had great communication. It claimed to sleep six, but only comfortably slept four. Two of our guests had to sleep on a very uncomfortable pullout sofa and chair. They could feel the bars and springs through it. There was also no bedding provided for them, so we had to gather bedding from the other rooms and make it work.If we were to stay there again, we would only stay there if we had four or less guests that were OK to share two queen beds.
The house is an older house. The main bathroom tub and sink look as though they had not been updated. They are small but functional. The lawn had not been mowed when we were there in late June. It was a bit tall. The house is located just a couple blocks from downtown restaurants and attractions. It is a quiet neighborhood, far enough from downtown to be relaxing, but close enough to walk to a restaurant.
This was a cute place with a lot of old home features. Only wished there were two queen sized beds. Place could use a spruce up outside. But our friends bed was comfortable.
Loved this house! Was perfect for our group of 5, walking distance to bars & restaurants. Beds were cozy and the main living area was very spacious. Check in/out was a breeze. Really enjoyed Cody and all it had to offer!
The location of the property is great. We liked that there was a place to sit outside but the chairs and cushions were filthy. Maybe wash them and get a bin to keep the cushions in when not in use.
I understand that the house is probably a work in progress and that everything is so expensive anymore. Good elbow grease would remedy many of the issues. Doors and doorways were dirty. The walls in the toilet closet were dirty.
It was explained that the yard wasn't watered because of system problem that evolved during the garage remodel. The garage game room turned out darling, great idea. There wasn't even a hose in the back yard though. No one had even tried to water the lawn,
Overall, we enjoyed spending time together and the location is great for walking to town. We believe the house is overpriced for its condition compared to others we have rented.
It was a very cute and comfortable house to stay in. I love how the owners played into the era of the house and decorated accordingly. The owners also had great communication and were exceptionally friendly.
Stayed one night to visit Buffalo Bill museum with adult family of 5. The charming house was within walking distant to town. We walked to dinner ate at the Irma hotel and later had dessert at the Big Chill (ice cream). House was stocked with all amenities (coffee, towels, etcâŠ). House has 2 bedrooms with a trundle bed in 2nd bedroom along with a pullout sofa bed in living room. Pull out trundle bed wasnât comfortable however we only stayed for one night and was spacious enough for our family. Second bathroom is just a toilet but served its purpose.
Was perfect for my husband and myself. Could use a few more cooking utensils and a can opener that works. LOL.And a better shower curtain. Otherwise we had a great stay in Cody! Thank You.
WE WERE DUPED
We should have known we were in trouble as we enter this house. The old musty smell hit us as soon as we walked in the door.
The listing said two bedroom /two bathroom but what we found was one full bathroom with black mold between shower tiles and a leaky sink -between the two bedrooms. The â2nd bathroomâ was a toilet in a closet with no fan, no window, no sink, & no shower. The âsecond bathroomâ sink was in an adjoining room with the washer&dryer, refrigerator and air conditioner in the window. Both air conditioner units were not installed properly, letting the bugs from outside fly right in. Extension cords that were once taped to the floor, became tripping hazards in each bedroom. Multiple extension cords ran around each room plugged into one outlet. The basic items were also missing including hangers, glasses, a corkscrew, shades on windows, batteries for the remote and replaceable batteries.
The TV was unusable.
The main bedroom closet door was painted shut and unusable. Water was left in the coffee maker from who knows whenâŠ
Also, we were instructed to take out the trash before we left, but there was no trashcan outside.
And lastly, the lint trap in the dryer was 1 inch thick and posed a fired hazard. Photos are available upon request.
Such a cute place to stay! So much charm in this house! We walked to dinner one night, played in the backyard and took a walk around the neighborhood and saw deer! The pieces that are in this house are stunning! The sink in the kitchen was amazing and now I want one! There were 8 of us and we all fit very comfortably. Totally recommend!
What a fantastic place to stay in Cody! The home is beautifully decorated and so charming. The location was great since it is within walking distance of so many restaurants and shops. We will definitely stay here again!
We are Wyoming natives and love where we live!! We our a family of 8 and love to have a good time! Boating, camping, mountain biking, cliff jumping, horse pack trips, hunting in the summer; snowboarding and following our kids to all their sports keep us busing in the winter. We feel like Cody is a gem and we love to share a little piece of it with our guests. We enjoy hosting family and friends at our own home, and enjoy hosting guests at our vacation rentals. Brook secretly (well not so secretly) wishes she could meet each guest in person and be their tour guide. đ She loves to learn peopleâs stories and what brought them to cody. She enjoys anytime she is able to give a guest a suggestion about where to eat or what fun activity to do. If you are our guest, you are our priority. Let us know how we can help!
After a long search for a vacation rental, my husband sent me to look at this one and see if it was worth it. As soon as I walked in the door I fell in love. The charming 100 year old character stole my heart! I called him right away and told him he needed to come look. We bought the house at the beginning of tourist season. We had many long days abs late nights as we got it ready. It was fun watching our vision unfold as we prepared the house for our first guests, and we were thrilled to find our first vacation rental!
The charming character of the 100 year old home is unique! We love the character. We also have a newly remodeled GAME ROOM out in the garage that we are excited about! It provides extra sleeping space and a variety of games including an air hockey table!!
