About the home
âSurf Beach Remote Retreatâ is a modern single-storey family and pet-friendly home in Surf Beach, just a short walk from the Beach and a comfortable drive from all the supermarkets, restaurants & cafĂ©s of Cowes and Cape Woolamai. Some of the many features of this lovely home are detailed below:
Indoor Areas
The central Entrance opens into a hallway connecting the homeâs three bedrooms and main living spaces, with direct access out to the Deck perfect for relaxing outdoors. Bedroom 1 (with BIR) and Bedroom 2 (with free-standing clothes hanger & shelves) are positioned toward the front of the home, while Bedroom 3 (with WIR) sits further down the hall near the central Bathroom (with shower & toilet).
The hallway flows through to the Living Room (with an 85â Smart TV) and Office/Work from home area, thoughtfully tailored for remote workers with extremely fast WiFi, a large 48-inch widescreen, and a wall of QR codes offering fun local ideas and AI assistance. Adjacent is the Kitchen/Dining area, while a separate Toilet and fully equipped Laundry (with washing machine & clothes dryer) add extra convenience for guests.
Outdoor Areas
The rear outdoor area features a gas BBQ, a fold-up umbrella, and comfortable seating for 6, creating the perfect space for relaxed outdoor dining. The fully enclosed rear yard is ideal for families with children and pets, offering both comfort and peace of mind. There is a fantastic EV charger available for guest use (7.4kW, single phase, Type 2) and space to park up to 5 vehicles (cars and/or boats) on the property.
Note: The property is equipped with external security cameras including coverage of the front entrance, driveway, front yard, backyard, and back entrance. There is also a camera inside the private storage/linen closet (not inside any guest-accessible areas).
Kitchen
The fully appointed kitchen is equipped with cooking utensils, crockery, cutlery, a microwave, a Deloghi coffee pod machine (Nespresso compatible), a toaster, a kettle, etc., plus a double sink, a fridge, a dishwasher, an electric oven and induction stove.
Heating/Cooling Systems
There are three wall-mounted reverse-cycle air conditioners in the homeâone in the living room and one each in Bedrooms 1 & 3; Bedroom 2 does not have its own unit but is more than adequately serviced from the Living Room system when the door is open.
Bedding Configuration
This home has 4 beds, accommodating up to 6 guests:
Bedroom 1: One King bed
Bedroom 2: One Queen bed
Bedroom 3: One King Single bed & one King Single Trundle bed
Linen
It is common in the region for some linen to be provided for bookings, and some linen to be available as an optional extra. By default, a booking at this home does not include optional linen (top & bottom sheets, bath towels and pillowcases). What is included are doonas (quilts) with covers, pillows without covers, tea towels, hand towels and bathmats. If you would like the optional linen included in your booking, please let us know, including which beds you would like it provided for. The additional cost would be a one-off charge of $30 per bedâand we prefer 7 days' notice prior to your arrival to get that arranged.
Peak Periods
Please note that during the peak summer period and other peak times, check in times are set as 3pm unless by prior arrangement. Please also note that if you avail of the optional linen hire over these times, it may involve linen being left out but beds not being made up.
Functions, Celebrations and Schoolies
Please note that the home is not suitable for celebrations, parties, or large events. The home also does not take bookings over Schoolies, irrespective of whether school-leavers are part of the official Schoolies Program. All bookings are subject to approval, pending Guest verification process. Local council restrictions are in place for this property, and compliance is mandatory.
