About the home
âBay Retreatâ is a delightful single-storey family home in Cowes just a comfortable walk from the beach and short drive from the supermarkets, restaurants & cafĂ©s of Cowes. Some of the many features of this lovely home are detailed below:
Indoor Areas
The Main Bedroom at the front of the home has a walk-through robe and ensuite (with shower & toilet). The central hallway leads past a Family Room (with smart TV & DVD Player) to the open plan Kitchen/Dining/Living Room (with TV) which in turn provides access to the covered Alfresco. Bedrooms 2 and 3 (each with BIR) are off the main Living Room, as is the main Bathroom (with shower & bath) and a separate toilet. The fully equipped Laundry (with washing machine) is accessed from the Kitchen. The double Garage has internal access into the home, plus direct access to the rear yard.
Outdoor Areas
The covered rear Alfresco (with table & seating for 8, an outdoor couch, TV and gas BBQ) overlooks the fully enclosed rear yard which is perfect for children. The double Garage has a table tennis table, bar fridge and the clothes dryer, plus space for one car, with additional space for 2 more cars in the driveway.
Kitchen
The fully appointed kitchen is equipped with cooking utensils, crockery, cutlery, microwave, Nescafe Dolce Gusto coffee machine, toaster, kettle, air fryer, etc. plus a double sink, fridge, dishwasher, gas oven and gas cook top. There is also a bar fridge in the Garage.
Heating/Cooling Systems
There is a wall mounted reverse cycle split-system in the Family room, two ceiling fans in the Dining/Living Room and one ceiling fan in Bedroom 1, plus two additional stand-alone heaters and one stand-alone fan which can be used where required.
Bedding Configuration
This home has 5 beds, plus 1 mattress, accommodating up to 8 guests:
Bedroom 1: One Queen bed
Bedroom 2: One Double bed
Bedroom 3: One set of Single Bunks and one King Single bed
There is a Single bed mattress in Bedroom 2 that can be used in the Family Room and is suitable for one adult or child.
Linen
It is common in the region for some linen to be provided for bookings, and some linen to be available as an optional extra. By default, a booking at this home does not include optional linen (top & bottom sheets, bath towels and pillowcases). What is included are doonas (quilts) with covers, pillows without covers, tea towels, hand towels and bathmats. If you would like the optional linen included in your booking, please let us know, including which beds you would like it provided for. The additional cost would be a one-off charge of $30 per bed (some sites add a service fee to these costs) - and we prefer 7 days' notice prior to your arrival to get that arranged.
Peak Periods
Please note that during the peak summer period and other peak times, check in times are set as 3pm unless by prior arrangement. Please also note that if you avail of the optional linen hire over these times, it may involve linen being left out but beds not being made up.
Functions, Celebrations and Schoolies
Please note that the home is not suitable for celebrations, parties or large events. The home also does not take bookings over Schoolies.
