Just what we were looking for to get away from the city for a few days. Directions were easy and the neighborhood is quiet. Plenty of amenities such as a fully stocked kitchen, coffee, water, toiletries, and a full-sized washer and dryer which came in handy after some rain and a few days on the water. Will definitely stay again.

Weekend getaway

Property was very clean and cozy. Plenty of room and in a quiet part of the community. Local use boat launch was a plus with parking there. Close to Powell Park and san Augustine Park. We enjoyed our stay.

Les points forts : Communication
It was really nice. Kids went to the 90s with the DVD/VHS combo due to bad internet and no service. Other than that it was quite and nice.

Nice and cozy

We had a wonderful time! The property was clean and a great place for a family to get to make memories and spend time together! My two year old son had a blast and there was plenty of space for him to play. The private ramp was in really close distance and was easy to find. We enjoyed sitting out in the gazebo while getting some fresh air. Overall, We had a great time and would definitely love to rent this again. The owners were easy to get in touch with and answered any and all questions we may have had. Highly suggest for anyone wanting to get a nice, quiet, and relaxing getaway!

Quaint Cabin in the Woods

We spent the weekend with family fishing and celebrating a birthday. The cabin was perfect! It’s well stocked, very clean, and sits at the end of the road which gives it a bit of privacy. The house caretaker lives nearby and stopped by to see if we needed anything. He even brought us firewood and bags of ice. We had an issue with the AC turning off, but one quick text the to owner and the AC schedule was removed so we could control the temperature ourselves. If we return to Sam Rayburn, we will definitely consider this cabin again!

3.5 Room for Improvement

It started out rough as the listing map and gps took us to the wrong area. No answered or returned calls to hosts. Called Evolve to no avail. After trying a 4 gps app. We were directed to a location 20 minutes away which turned out to be correct. Never heard from host. There are numerous minor improvements that should be made to primary bed (sinking), bedding (aged) and window covering (security light shines right on head in bed) and especially the dishwasher missing rollers on bottom rack making it impossible to to close without finagling. Checkout instructions posted are different from app. We never found trash bin even after calls. Direction from Evolve put us in an odd position of using someone else’s. Neighbor said to just place in bin at end of drive and all would be fine.

From the owner: "Thank you for your review and for staying with us. We truly appreciate the 4-star rating despite the challenges you encountered during your arrival. Please accept our sincerest apologies for the communication gap. Our primary host was undergoing an unexpected surgery during your check-in, which unfortunately left our team temporarily unreachable. This is certainly not the level of service we strive for, and we have already updated our 'back-up' contact protocols to ensure a secondary host is always available to assist our guests immediately, even in emergencies. We appreciate your feedback regarding the beds and the other details around the home. We take these comments seriously and are currently in the process of reviewing and refreshing those items to ensure our future guests have the most comfortable experience possible. We are so glad you chose to complete your stay with us. We would love the opportunity to host you again in the future for a 5-star experience."
