Riverside Nest is a true couple's Retreat. A secluded mountain cabin perched above the Ellijay River with 101 steps down from the cabin to the beach area, hammock deck. Topside on the cabin's huge deck is a covered gazebo with a gas firepit and a hot tub with a cover lift. There is a fenced area for your pup with access to both the front deck and hot tub deck. The cabin offers a large cathedral ceiling king bedroom with a 32 inch TV. The living area has vaulted ceilings and is perfect for cuddling in front of the gas log fireplace or watching your favorite movie on the 55 inch smart TV with YouTube TV's 85 channel service (Includes sports and local) & Netflix & DVD player. There is also a bluetooth speaker for listening to your favorite songs. The Kitchen offers: Refrigerator, stove, oven, microwave, dishwasher and espresso machine, with a wall of windows overlooking the Ellijay River and beautiful wooded views while dining. Riverside Nest is a perfect place to getaway with the one you love.

Access: Access to this cabin is via gravel, mountain roads. 4 wheel drive is not required, confidence in mountain driving is recommended.

CANCELLATION/RESCHEDULING/NO SHOW/EARLY DEPARTURE: Each cabin is privately owned and cancellations affect owners significantly. Cancellations, rescheduling, or changes must be submitted in writing and confirmed received by Sliding Rock Cabins® more than thirty-one (31) days prior to the original check-in date in order to receive refund, less a Sixty Five Dollar ($65) cancellation fee. Said changes regardless of reason made within thirty-one (31) days of your original check-in date will result in a forfeiture of all moneys paid. All moneys paid are non-transferable to another rescheduled date. Refunds will be given if Agent can re-book said dates with another guest limited to the extent of rebooking. Agents are not responsible for Guests inability to arrive or if Guests chooses to depart early for any reason, or if members of Guests party do not show up. No refunds, rebates, or compensation will be offered. WE STRONGLY SUGGEST PURCHASING VACATION RENTAL INSURANCE with your travel insurance of choice. The cabin is perfectly positioned off the road and nestled in the trees like a nest, just like the name suggests, the sound of the river is wonderful. We enjoyed every aspect of our stay. Thank you for sharing your lovely place with us.

We had such an amazing time!! This was by far the BEST cabin we've ever been to! The hosts were incredibly dog friendly, the decor was phenomenal, and the location to the river was perfection. The Christmas tree by the fireplace was chef's kiss! We want to return!

The cabin is well equipped and the people at Sliding Rock Rentals were very attentive and offered suggestions for celebrating the 4th of July while we were there. The location could be tricky to get to in rain or ice/ snow without a 4 wheel drive, but that’s part of the charm. The river was wonderful for relaxing next to with our pups and the fenced in yard was a big convenience. Planning on coming back soon!

Perfect Valentine Getaway for Couples

We enjoyed everything about our stay. It was a great last minute getaway and the cabin was exceptional. The extra attention to details in every space made the stay even better. The cabin has so many cozy spaces. We especially loved the decor, the cozy blankets, fireplace, Bluetooth speakers, kitchen and chairs overlooking the river below, the bedroom space, the extra doggie treats and bed, and even the emerald green cabinet pulls. We especially enjoyed the covered bridge being lit up on our way in and out each day too. A very quiet place to retreat and enjoy nature. Highly recommended.

April 2021 Stay

Awesome cabin experience, we loved the cabin and especially the back deck with the gazebo. the cabin is fully stocked and ready, our dogs loved the fenced in yard. very comfortable, quiet and relaxing. loved being the last cabin on the road so we heard no cars only the river and the wildlife.

We Love Rivers Nest!

We loved the privacy of it's location, we lived the water (even the 100 steps to get down there!!), and it was super clean and cozy!! The rental staff was bend-over-backwards helpful!!! The addiotnal master BR does not have an AC vent so you may have to freeze out teh living areas to sleep well at night bit it is doable.

Quiet place to relax and recharge with everything you need.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was a wonderful experience for us. We are always looking for a place that has everything you need in one spot. This cabin checks all the boxes. It looks like everything was thought of. We brought our three dogs, two medium size & one small. This was one of the most dog friendly places I have experienced. Make sure you read all of the instructions they send you prior to your trip. We planned for everything but so did Sliding Rock Cabins. This company was excellent! During our trip they stayed in communication with us and were available to answer any questions we had via text message. I would highly recommend this company if you want a great cabin experience and you enjoy the mountains. I couldn’t think of anything that would have made this trip better.

A Week of Peace and Tranquility

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Riverside Nest is beautiful - well appointed, great floor plan, very comfortable and so much natural light. The large windows overlooking the river and the skylights are a big plus. We enjoyed our peaceful week listening to the river, and so did our two dogs (our elderly dog appreciated the one story cabin). We saw deer, and even a bear! Thank you so much!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The cabin is nestled amongst beautiful landscape. The proximity to the river is enchanting. The space is perfect for two people. It’s private, quiet and a great place to retreat. The drive is fine up to the entrance of the property about .5 miles you’ll need a 4x4 and be experienced driver. We had a truck 4x2 which the wheels spun a few times. Aside from the ingress & egress it was pleasant.

Home away from Home

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Place was wonderful in every aspect. From the drive up to the cabin and daily deer we saw. The cabin was fully prepared with utensils pans washing machine wifi not that you need to be on line much. The nights were full of beautiful sounds and tranquility. You get use to the katydids and the music that they produces ties the river for the perfect sound to sleep to. We wish we could of stayed longer.
