Un chalet à Riverside est une cabane en rondins très confortable et romantique qui ne peut pas être battu. Votre espace salle à manger offre trois fenêtres, sans aucun voisin, et une vue magnifique et paisible sur la rivière Ellijay. Little Piece of Heaven

We truly enjoyed the cabin. It was a very relaxing time away from the stresses of our everyday lives. Never been to a property so dog welcoming. We enjoyed the sounds of the river too. Was wonderful.

Spring Break At ACAR

The location was beautiful beyond belief- instant relaxation as soon as we rounded the corner to the back of the cabin and heard the water from the river. The cabin itself was cozy, clean, and well stocked with essentials. The fenced yard was perfect for our dog to play in. The roads in were well maintained and manageable even for a couple of flat road Floridians! Our only regret is that we didn't stay longer! We can't wait to return to A Cottage At Riverside.

Perfect weekend getaway!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The cabin was perfect for our family of three! Our toddler had the best time playing on the rivers edge despite the cool temperatures. The cabin was very easy access to both Ellijay and Blue Ridge. We had a wonderful time at the Apple Festival in Ellijay, and enjoyed walking around and exploring all of the shops in Blue Ridge. We were so very pleased with Sliding Rock Cabins. This is our second time staying with them and we will definitely be back again!

Secluded Winter Getaway

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Cozy little getaway! The location on the stream provided such needed relaxation. The cabin decor was perfect. We really loved walking through the front door and being welcomed by a lit Christmas tree and Christmas music playing! The only thing we wish is that the cabin had a dishwasher; but it had everything else and more! Traveling the last mile or so to the cabin was a bit challenging at first, but got easier the more we drove it. Local neighbors were friendly and even decorated trees in the woods! Thank you for setting the stage for a very memorable and peaceful vacation for us!

We loved hearing the birds and the river, and seeing the deer in the woods. The property was clean and comfortable, and had everything we needed. We also had fun exploring the nearby attractions, such as the Amicalola Falls, Carter's Lake, and Reece's Orchard. We had a great time and hope to come back soon.

Everything We Dreamed of in a Mountain Cabin

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: A Cottage at Riverside was amazing. The setting was beautiful, with the sights and sounds of the Ellijay River just steps from our cabin. The cabin itself had every creature comfort. And our two standard poodles loved the large, fenced yard. All we had to do was let them out the door and they were fully confined to the fenced area. A special thanks to Ingrid of the Sliding Rock Cabins office who directed us to great roadside assistance when we made a wrong turn and got stuck in the clay on a narrow mountain road when turning around. In little more than an hour, we were back on the road and back to enjoying our vacation.

Great Stay in Ellijay

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We truly enjoyed the cabin by the river. So peaceful to hear the river while sitting outside. House was perfect for two couples and 2 doodles. The fenced yard was nice with the dogs although I didn’t just let them run for fear they’d jump the fence. For smaller dogs , I’d have no worries. The beds were comfy and house was well stocked. The roads to get in were a bit rough, I would not recommend low cars and I would do it in daylight hours. Our GPS did take us to the house but it was helpful to have the printed directions as well. It rained most of our time so we didn’t get to use the fire pit or hot tub but it’s a great area and I would certainly come back and recommend.

A perfect, relaxing getaway!

Very well kept, clean and had all basic needed supplies. The view by the river was perfect. You had the River view from the hot tub and inside at the kitchen table. We spent time visiting local wineries and parks but enjoyed out time kicked back at the cabin too.

Beautiful view

The cabin itself was neat and fairly clean. Even left designated sheets for the dogs to lay on should they want to get on the beds. The view was spectacular! The Ellijay River is absolutely gorgeous at that location. The current is swift so if bringing pets, be sure they are good swimmers before allowing them to get in. Communication was excellent. They were very accommodating and quick to respond when we needed to add an extra night. There were a few things that would deter us from staying here again. The biggest being the road into the property. While it is easily found via GPS as well as the detailed directions the rental agency provides, it a narrow and winding road - at times only large enough for one car. The yard is of concern if you have pets as there is no grass - just dirt and roots. Quite understandable due to the canopy of trees that restricts sunlight but with the wet weather we had during our stay, we had to deal with muddy shoes and muddy dogs. The cabin itself has a items that need attention: *Smell - very distinct damp, fireplace type of smell that permeated our clothing. I had to wash even our clean clothes upon return. *Pots and pans were quite old/used and some were very obviously not washed well with one not washed at all. *One roll of toilet paper per bathroom is provided as well as one roll of paper towels. We had to buy more. I expected to have at least two rolls per bathroom. *The porch and outdoor furniture as well as hot tub were sorely in need of attention. Dust, dirt, leaves and spider webs everywhere. *A floor mat is sorely needed right inside the door. We took to using a towel we brought as a floor mat to keep from tracking in so much water and mud. If just a bit more attention was given to this property, it would be well worth the money.
