Welcome to Colony Inn Unit 13, a warm and charming island retreat on beautiful Sanibel Island. Professionally managed by Gulf Coast Vacation Rentals, this inviting getaway is tucked within the peaceful Colony Inn community, offering a relaxing and comfortable place to unwind while still being close to everything that makes the island so special. From cozy local cafés and relaxed dining spots to boutique shopping, scenic bike paths, and nearby nature preserves, there's always something lovely to discover just moments from your door.

Step inside and you'll be greeted by a bright, welcoming space designed with comfort and ease in mind. The spacious living area is perfect for slowing down after a day of exploring—whether you're curling up for a movie night, sharing conversation with loved ones, or simply enjoying a quiet moment in a comfortable setting. The kitchen is fully equipped with stainless steel appliances and all the essentials you need to prepare anything from a simple breakfast to a relaxed evening meal.

The primary bedroom offers a peaceful retreat with a plush king-size bed, creating a cozy place to rest and recharge. For additional flexibility, the living area includes a queen sleeper sofa, making the space ideal for couples, families, or small groups traveling together.

Whether you're settling in for a weekend escape or an extended stay, Colony Inn Unit 13 offers a welcoming home base where you can relax, recharge, and enjoy the easygoing charm of Sanibel Island at your own pace.

House Rule: No smoking. No burning candles inside of lodging. No parties. No Pets.

Laundry facilities are conveniently located on each floor of both buildings for guest use.

​​​​​​​Please Note : We're continuing our efforts to maintain and improve the property with enhancements taking place at Building 2 from May 4th through end of June 2026. During this time Building 2 is closed. Work will be conducted Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM to approximately 3:30 PM.

Guests in Building 1 and around the pool area should experience minimal impact, though occasional daytime renovation noise may be heard. For safety, some areas of the grounds may be temporarily restricted while work is underway.

We appreciate your understanding as we make these improvements and look forward to welcoming you!

Great Unit

What a great place to stay for a weekend girls trip withy daughter! The units was very comfortable. We loved sitting out on the porch with our coffee in the mornings. I had an issue come up and management was very quick to respond. Overall very satisfied with our stay.

No the pool was hot and the dirty scum line around it was gross. The room was great and loved the screened in porch.

We love Colony Inn! Our family has stayed there since it opened in the 60s and my grandparents owned C19. No pool during our stay but it was too cool anyway. They worked hard to get the pool ready for inspection. The grounds will be beautiful again.

We absolutely loved our stay here. We only stayed 2 nights, and now we are in Clearwater beach for 2 nights and wished we just stayed in Sanibel for 4 instead. LOL. We totally love the quiet relaxed atmosphere at Colony Inn and surrounding area. Our room was nicely decorated with a peaceful ocean vibe. Everything we needed was right there. Excellent beach access. Wickies was a most excellent restaurant within walking distance. There is also ice cream in the same plaza, and bagels and coffee across the street from Wickies. This is totally our scene. As a retired couple, we are done with the party scenes, and just want peace and quiet and beautiful ocean scenery, and of course, SHELLS. Also, the reception staff was friendly and helpful. We also were given the use of beach chairs and an umbrella, which we really appreciated.We loved it more than we anticipated, and hope to be back many more times.Thank you for providing us with such a wonderful stay.With gratitude, Marc & Mary
