Chalet Apartment With Stunning Views And A Fireplace

Etoile is a luxuriously appointed spacious chalet apartment situated in the beautiful village of Samoens, near Samoens Ski Resort and less than I hour from Geneva.
It is located on three levels with 2 en-suite bedrooms at the top, very comfortable open plan living area on the first floor and garage with laundry room on the ground floor. Additional parking is available.
The living area has underfloor heating and a nice fireplace; and benefits from a large balcony - perfect for soaking up the views or dining out when warm enough.
The apartment is 5 mn drive from Grand Massif ski resort, or 5 mn walk + 3 mn of skibus (free bus network).

Samoens retreat!

A lovely chalet as described. Well located, the balcony gets the afternoon/evening sun which is great when the weather is warm. Host has listened to previous comments and dealt with small omissions which is very good.

Perfect for Summer or Winter

Lovely purpose built Chalet in a superb location, looking over Samoens and to the mountains. Access to the centre is very easy. The Chalet is perfect for 2 couples, lots of (clean) space and well equipped. Descriptions accurate.

Great Summer Stay

Stayed for a week in August. Host has excellent communication. Great property, as advertised. Pictures don't do it justice. Really close to the centre of Samoens. Well equipped. Would recommend.

Lovely apartment in a great location

We stayed for a weeks skiing and the apartment is in a great central location, just a short walk to the town center and then another 15mins to the gondala. 2 supermarkets in the town and Carrefour just a short drive away. The apartment is much bigger than advertised with lots of space and well equipped (even has Netflix which kept the kids happy) . It was lovely to come back to a warm apartment. Would love to return next time we go skiing as this apartment made our holiday perfect. The apartment is

Brilliant - a perfect and well looked after home

The property is extremely well located (a short walk to the local shops, restaurants and bars), really nicely maintained and equipped - and the owner had left a bottle of wine for us on arrival, nicely made beds, towels, and information on the local area. The apartment is spacious, modern, and clean, and has a couple of balconies looking towards the mountain that are perfect for drinking wine into the evening. A great home away from home.

This appartement and location was perfect

Great place, really nice village on walking distance, very nice small restaurants, and great place to ski. The appartement is luxurious, clean and had a very nice interior including a real mountain style fireplace. The appartement is comfortable for 5 people, has cosy seating and spacious kitchen. Parking place upfront is very convenient, and few minutes from ski lift. The owner is very helpfull and was very responsive with additional information. Would recommend this place for a perfect ski trip. Excellent place.

Samoëns chalet

This chalet above the Samoens village was our last rental over the summer and was the perfect ending. The chalet has a beautiful view (took “too many” photos of the mountains!) and dinners on the deck discouraged us from dining out. Everything you might need is within walking distance and the village is lovely. The chalet was comfortable and nicely furnished; the owner responded quickly to any concerns. We would love to return to this beautiful area and home.

A SUPERB LOCATION

We are regular visitors to Samoens and this is the third property we have stayed it in. Quite simply "it ticks all the boxes". We will happily stay here again, clean comfortable well equipped with stunning views. The owner is a pleasure to deal with, responsive and friendly nothing is too much trouble. We would recommend this to our friends if they wanted a holiday in a mountain village. The Village has a number of good restaurants, the obligatory cake shops and a mile or so out of town a well stocked Supermarket.

Great views and location

Our family of 4 (kids 6 and 9) had a great summer holiday in Samoens. The apartment is 5 minutes walk from the centre and has stunning views across the valley to the mountains on the other side. Pros - Location and view - Excellent tips on what to do when we checked in - Well equipped house including fondue set Cons - Check in time is stated as "Flexible", for us this turned out to be 17:00, which we found to be a little late (especially as check out is at 10:00). - Dishwasher was not working for our entire stay, although the nice view made washing up by hand more of a pleasure!

Fantastic !!

This was our fifth visit to Samones, the first to this wonderful apartment. The apartment was well situated a short walk from the village which has some lovely resturants and bakeries, near enough to pop down before breakfast and get some hot bread. The apartment is really well equiped - it really is like a home from home ! This is the first time we have had english TV whilst in a rented apartment and it was really nice to sit down after a hard day skiing and watch the winter Olympics ! All in all a wonderful holiday...we will return !

Summer holiday

Thank you for a fantastic week! The chalet is perfect, clean, well equipped with little touches! The slow cooker was appreciated on a cool day, stereo meant we had music in the evening and good wifi (we have a teenager!!!!) Everything was lovely, clean and comfortable. The information before and in resort was great. Chalet situated in a great position, perfect for walking, running and cycling. Also close enough to walk to the village for morning pastries! Enjoyed rafting and going up in the gondola whilst visiting already looking at it for ski season! Thank you

Fantastic place to stay

We spent a lovely week here with our children aged 8 and 5 this August. The chalet is very comfortable, clean and well equipped . It is also very well located as its only a 5 minute walk into Samoens which is a bustling little town with lots of lovely places to eat and drink. Being slightly elevated there are fabulous views from the balcony over the Giffre Valley, and the balcony gets the sun ( weather allowing!) most of the day. We had a really lovely week exploring the local area where there is lots to do including walking, mountain biking, swimming, the summer luge at Morzine,etc. The owner was very helpful when arranging our stay and gave us lots of information / tips to make the stay more enjoyable. We would definitely recommend staying here and hope to return.

Best ski holiday!

Just a quick email to say what a wonderful time we all had. I fell in love with Samoens immediately. Your chalet is wonderful. Its in a great location and very welcoming. A true home from home. Both the boys and I had the most lovely time. The skiing was excellent. We loved wandering around the town. Kimberly (ESF) was terrific with the boys. And the open air ice skating in the town centre topped it off. I can't say enough about how much we enjoyed it. We definitely want to come back. Thank you ever so much for letting us rent your Chalet. We'll be back, maybe even in the Summer!

Fabulous Chalet Apartment!

Chalet Etoile was everything we had hoped for and more We were met by Gilles who gave us a warm welcome and showed us over the apartment.From the moment we stepped onto the large balcony in the evening sunshine we knew we had found a gem of a property. The views and the peace and tranquillity are wonderful, and yet you are close enough to access all the amenities in the town, either by car or by walking down.The interior is clean, modern and the beds are really comfortable.We visited many places during our stay Annecy, Yvoires, Evian,Sixt Fer Cheval ,Morzine and Verchaix to name a few.The weather was perfect too.We ate out in the places we visited and our evenings were spent enjoying the sunsets on the balcony. We had excellent communication from the owner Leonie, first class service from Gilles her manager and would gladly recommend the property to family and friends.Thank you for a memorable holiday. Great location and functional apartment

The owner and agent were amazing in their communication.and very helpful The location is great, I just feel that it is described as “spacious and luxurious” and I feel it should more accurately described without these adjectives. It is pretty compact for a family of 5, and although it had most of what we needed, it missed the special touches that make a property luxurious and the pack of info in the 7nit was 5 yrs out of date I’m wondering if the owner has not visited for a while or it has not been rented out for a while. When we arrived there was absolutely nothing in the kitchen ie no oil, salt pepper , etc, one dishwasher tablet, hardly any toilet paper, no oven gloves and the wifi kept crashing. These are small issues, I think for 3 or 4 people who want a well located property this is suitable.

Superb Appartment!

We have been to Samoens several times for Christmas and this is, by far, the best accommodation we have experienced - a real find. It is more of a townhouse than an apartment, split over 3 levels it is spacious and well equipped in a fantastic location just a 5 mins stroll from town. The house is within a complex of around a dozen beautifully designed holiday homes and as it is in the front row, it has an open aspect to the front and woodland to the side. Lots of parking plus a garage. This little house is sooooo cozy! The open fire is amazing and there is also underfloor heating although we never actually needed to turn it on! The beds are incredibly comfortable and the showers are high spec and spacious with lashings of piping hot water. Bedrooms are huge compared to most places and both have an ensuite. Laundry room and garage downstairs are really useful too and it was just a delight to stay here. The owner is fantastic and cannot do enough to help. Thoroughly enjoyed every minute of our stay here and we can't wait to return!

Super stay with all the mod cons

Our family of 5 (including our 3 young daugthers) had a superb week at the chalet duirng our ski week, taking advantage of all that it had to offer. Leoni, the owner, was very helpful and communicative, offering good advice on ski schools and discounts on ski and locker rentals thru her contacts in the village, and pointing us to a superb meal provider (a local English chef that delivers to the chalet), Our local, on-site contact was very friendly and made sure all was set-up for our stay. Points to note for the chalet : - Very convenient, very quiet location - only 5 mins walk from the village (with its nice selection of restaurants, bars and shops) - Super, comfy beds - Lovely chalet 'ambience' - Separate bathroom for the girl's room (yes !) - Fully-equipped kitchen - Comfortable living room - Satellite TV (UK and Local channels) - Open log fire - Underfloor heating - Internet access - Garage - Washing Machine, Dryer and Freezer - Easy access to all ski amenities (eg ski-rental shops) - 5 mins drive from the main gondola up to 1600m Thsi chalet ticks all the boxes for us - we couldn't have wished for more. We'll certainly be back :) Recommended A +++++
