Wonderful Stay

We had a wonderful time! Plenty of space for everyone to spread out. Smith Lake has so many houses with steep steps down to the water - so nice to find a house like this with easy access to the water. We will be back.

Summer vacation

Everything was great, beautiful views, clear lake. The floating pier was great for swimming as well as the lake mat that was provided. The separation of the downstairs and upstairs area was great for privacy and the outdoor fireplace overlooking the lake was beautiful.

Weekend Lake trip

Beautiful home and view! Great space in home. Loved private bath for each room and large panty/laundry to keep all your stuff out of the way. The neighborhood boat launch was so convenient and the dock at the house amazing!

Wonderful lake trip!

This house was all we could ask for and more! So spacious and had a great set-up for extended family. The backyard and dock were perfect. We enjoyed breakfast and nightly drinks on the second story of the dock. The kitchen was well stocked and they even provided life jackets and a lily pad. Would highly recommend this house to others looking to visit Smith Lake!

Amazing

I can’t say enough about our stay at Journeys End. A beautiful home. The huge window and views gives the home a grand open feeling. We loved each bedroom having its own bathroom. Nice shade trees that didn’t block the view of the lake. The hot tub was awesome! Our favorite house on Smith Lake for our multigenerational family trip.

Great fall trip

We had a great time in this beautiful home with our daughter, son in law and our two granddaughters. We had some rain but the game room with pool table, foosball and shuffleboard, along with a home gym, made it so easy and fun to "hang in!" The dock is great, we rented a ponton boat and managed to go tubing everyday we were there. I would highly recommend this property for family's with kids. And it's in a gated community which is another plus!

Family Christmas vacation

The house could not have been any better. The house was extremely clean and well maintained inside and out. With this being our family Xmas it was nice to have the house decorated to celebrate the season. Our host, Tim, was prompt to respond to my questions. Our family of 10 have already asked if we could go back.

Spacious home

Just as stated. We loved the dock. Would have liked more deck furniture and a bit more upscale kitchen utensils. Decor a bit dated but home was just as advertised. It was in the middle of nowhere. Quiet. Easy to get to dock/lake. Would stay again.

Journeys End has it all!

Our family group of 10 thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The home is in a lovely location on the lake. Last summer we stayed at the other end of the lake (Crane Hill/Smith Lake park area) and the location of Journey’s End is quieter. The 2-level dock is fantastic and being able to walk out to your boat and cruising in moments (with minimal steps compared to many homes on the lake) is the only way to go! Plenty of space in the house, clean and each large bedroom with its own bathroom was extremely nice. Owners responded promptly to all our questions. Highly recommend and would love to return.

Perfect Lake House

This was a perfect lake house for our group. We had 5 adults and 5 kids (teens to 9 years). Every room has a full bathroom. The kids loved the play room. They played a lot of billiards and foosball. Everyone enjoyed using the two story dock. It is an easily walk down to the water. The kitchen had everything we needed. From gadgets to foil. We loved the large table so that we could all eat together. The nearby marina is no longer renting boats so we rented one about 50 minutes away at Duskin Marina. We had a wonderful 3 days at this house. I cannot give it enough praise. It was perfect.

Comfy and cozy home - only issue is no boat lift

Not being able to use boat lift posed a big problem. The home is on the big water with lots of traffic. We had to trailer park our boat after each use. We could not keep it in the slip because the water was so rough it snapped our ropes. The owner did communicate this to us and said to bring extra bumpers but the boat still took a beating Everything else was perfect and we would rent on repeat if we had use of the lift

Absolutely Perfect! We Loved Everything!

This property is top notch, it was so clean and nothing was worn, everything looked either brand new or it had been extremely well taken care of. We decided to try the lake for the first time, overall a great experience, peaceful and relaxing, the dock was great, we were able to bring the jet skis and use those the whole weekend. That made it very convenient and the dock allowed us a place to relax and get some sun. House was very very large, we had 4 adults and we basically had our own floors and plenty of space, between the pool table, shuffle board game and the huge dining room table we used to play games and relax, we didn't lack things to do. Everything worked great, and the owners were so easy to work with! Made us feel very welcome in the home. Myself and my wife own and manage 10+ homes in Florida for short term rental, and rarely do we find homes and owners that meet our standards and preferences. This house and these owners absolutely did an amazing job and exceeded our expectations, especially on cleanliness! Thanks so much!

Crazy 8 Take Smith Lake

My husband and I along with our children ages 4, 4, and 6, also my brother and his wife with their children, ages 5, 5, 7, 12 and 14 spent the last week in this gorgeous home. We loved the abundant space, beautiful lake views, game room and of course the 2 story dock. We were blessed with beautiful weather the entire week, so most of our days were spent swimming and floating on the Lilly pad. We were able to rent a party pontoon with a water slide and also used that at the dock when we weren’t cruising or finding hidden swimming holes. The large dining table was used for each meal and playing card games. So many thoughtful essentials come with the rental (K-pods, s’mores setups, cleaning supplies, plastic bags, trash bags, first aid kit..) The lake views were incredible, morning sunrise with coffee on the dock was so peaceful. The owners were quick to respond to texts and answer questions. An ice machine at the bar would be great for making drinks downstairs. The kids think a water slide would make the perfect addition to the home, lol. We had some issues with the Fire TV not letting us log out to get into our Prime account, but not a big deal. Larger bowls and sheet pans for cooking for large groups would be helpful. Nice Rental

The property was laid out well. Adequate bedroom space with open top and bottom floors. The house to dock distance was easy to navigate with minimal amount of steps. Would rent again. The owners were quick to reply and the check in and out process was seamless

Wonderful property! Bring your groceries with you.

This is a wonderful property and our family had a fantastic vacation. Tim and Paige were available if needed. The place is very spacious and the dock is absolutely beautiful! The only drawback is that the closest store is a Dollar General about 25 minutes away. So bring your groceries and enjoy your stay!!

Family vacation at Stoney Point

We absolutely loved our time at Stoney Point. The house is absolutely wonderful and is comfortable for a large family. The game room on the lower level that opens up to the outdoor areas is fabulous. All of the bedrooms are spacious and well decorated. Since there aren't any places close to go out, the open kitchen is perfect for preparing food. We invited a chef in to cook one night and it was so much fun. We also rented a pontoon boat for the week and the boat area and swim area with the raised platform, was so much fun and easy to use. This has been an unbelievable week at Smith Lake and this home was perfect for our family.

Better than expected

This is a wonderful property. It is perfect for a large group that needs multiple master bedrooms and room to spread out. It was the perfect amount of space for our group of 11 adults. We spent lots of time around the large dining table playing games and eating meals together. The table that seats 10 comfortably isn’t pictured on the VRBO site. It was a wonderful surprise. The house impeccably clean and very well organized. The dock over the water is arranged so that there is plenty of seating to relax and hang out. We loved the outdoor fireplace and grill area. The weather was perfect so we were able to eat several meals outside. We were also so pleased with how easy it was to communicate with the owner. They responded very quickly to questions. Overall it was the perfect house for our family and such an easy process from reserving the house to check out. I highly recommend this property.

We could not have asked for a more perfect family vacation in this beautiful home! Super clean, fully stocked, and large enough for everyone to be comfortable. The children loved the bunk room and enjoyed exploring around the property.
