Designer Luxury on Smith Lake/Pool/5BR/3BR/Steps to Water!

Welcome to the oasis of Mandolin Rain Cabin in the private, gated and family oriented development of Point William at Smith Lake! Our home is absolutely one of the best vacation layouts you will find anywhere. Two levels of simply elevated lakefront living, elegance and class with 5BR/3.5BA, equally generous in spaces indoors and out. No expense was spared on luxury designer furniture, bedding and finishes. This is resort style, elevated lakefront living at it's finest.

Five large beautifully decorated bedrooms, (4) off street level, (1) master on main will greet upon entering our home, each with fantastic views of the lake. The layout of our home really sings as it carries you down to lake level with spacious open concept living at it's finest! The ease of these spaces being lake level really lends itself to the flexibility of simply coming in off the lake throughout the day. You are welcome to bring your boat or jet ski and store at our dock during your stay.

Our kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need to make a gourmet meal, have a Keurig coffee, grill a burger on the fabulous new deck which is just STEPS away from our home's personal dock. Gather friends and family by the Solo Stove in the evenings for S'mores and experience those moments that will keep you coming back time and time again.

Let's talk lake fun! Our home comes with two paddle boards, two kayaks, paddles for both, 8 life jackets, Aqua Lily Waterpad (our kid's personal fave) and dock seating perfect for sunning or lounging. Our home is on year round deep water, and we have a pool house on a bluff that overlooks Smith Lake. The dock is great for fishing, swimming or just hanging out on the water.

Now for additional activities! With Bankhead National Forest within a 30 min drive of the home, excellent hiking is nearby. Recommended trails include:
- Sougahoagdee Falls
- Caney Creek Falls Trails
- We recommend downloading and using the Alltrails app to find trails that are the length & level that you desire.

Boats may also be rented at Trident Marina and Dustin Point Marina.

Lake house is beautiful and has gorgeous views from every room. Highly recommend for a relaxing getaway on the lake. Quiet and nice deck for grilling and enjoying the outdoors.

We absolutely loved this home. We knew we loved the neighborhood already, but this home fit our needs perfectly with a swimming pool as well as overflow parking for boats and cars. The house was clean, the kitchen well equipped and the beds were so comfortable. The host was very responsive and so helpful. We definitely want to book here again next year.

AMAZING GETAWAY!

We had the best time on our stay. We loved the location. The house was perfect for our family. The dock was the perfect hang out for everyone. The grocery was a bit far- but the host let us know that in advance so not an issue at all! Great place to disconnect and truly get some peace and enjoy each other! We will for sure be back!

The amenities and the house itself were quite suitable for our stay. The directions to the house could be improved by giving more specifics (there is no sign marking the clubhouse so maybe refer to it as the building to the right/left of the gate). The house needs repairs such as the holes at the bottom of the doors and the upstairs shower (on the kitchen end) only has a trickle of water. The windows were covered in leaves and spider webs.

I’m glad the amenities and home were suitable for your stay. The clubhouse is first building you see pulling into gate, flow of traffic is left. It stabs alone with pool in view. Will check with HOA about getting a clearer marked arrow as to which way to turn to homes. Also, HOA maintains leaves. Our neighborhood is so beautifully tucked away, lots of beautiful trees… just hard to rid of them fully on a daily basis. Spiders! Yes, our home is maintained by pest service. They came Monday after your stay to sweep webs. This is the worst review we have received in over three years since purchasing. I do hope you had a lovely Thanksgiving.

Family/Friends trip to Smith Lake

We had a great time at this home. It was met our needs perfectly. Plenty of room and very nice bedrooms. Kitchen was equipped well. We were able to use the dock with a boat we rented for several days. Was easy to get up and down the dock. We would recommend this location for others and would return for another visit.

Great Lake House for Family Vacation

This was our second time staying here. The house was perfect with everything our family needed and plenty space for everyone. Our kids enjoyed having the option between swimming in the lake and the pool. We hope we can come back again soon.

Perfect July 4th weekend!

Home was beautiful with great layout - lake views in every room! Deck and boat dock were stocked well with chairs, table, Lilly pad and floats. The lake is always gorgeous!

A wonderful stay at the lake

Truly wonderful and serene! The views are amazing and the home is beautifully decorated (wow, the beds are so comfortable!). Our family loved swimming off the dock as well as in the pool and playing games while the sun went down. Cooking in the kitchen with the views was wonderful. We would highly recommend staying at Mandolin Rain. We hope to visit again soon!

Had a blast on Smith Lake

This property was perfect, comfortable for the entire family, quiet for our grandson’s naps and an easy walk to and from the dock. When we needed to ask a couple questions the responses were fast. The pool provided a nice break from lake activities. We definitely plan on returning.

Weekend Getaway

I met up with my friends from college and their families at this amazing house. Everyone (kids included) unplugged and relaxed, just enjoying the simplicity that lake life offers. Having 4 king beds + a bunk room was a rare find. Core memories were made in this awesome lake home 😊

Absolutely beautiful home and location!

We stayed here for fall break and had a wonderful time! The house was very clean and had everything we needed. The owner let us know we should probably bring any groceries we wanted because it is a little secluded so that was helpful. Every room in the home has a gorgeous view of the lake and the deck level of the home with the master bedroom was perfect for grandparents. Our kids loved kayaking, paddle boarding and playing on the Lilly pad and staying in the adorable bunk room! We hope to stay here again and would highly recommend it to families!!!

Wonderful lake house!

This is my families second time to stay for fall break at this beautiful well appointed lake house! We love the decor, comfy beds, entertaining space inside and outside. The neighborhood is quiet and secluded and we feel safe letting our kids walk around and explore with other kids staying in the community. Boathouse has Lilly pad, kayaks, paddle boards and plenty of chairs for sunning, relaxing and fishing! We hope to return again next year!

Just the perfect set up

The downstairs is perfect for entertaining, Large kitchen where everyone has room to maneuver in order to pitch in. Those not pitching in can watch the golf tournament on a huge TV screen. While the kids play board games on a table that seats a bunch of people. Bunk room perfect for our 4 grand kids. Three other bedrooms were just what the sons needed. Pop and Anna got to hang out in the master down! Perfect view with plenty of seating on the patio and the boat dock. Wonderful!

Carol is a wonderful host! The house is so cute and decorated beautifully! The dock, kayaks and paddle boards were so much fun! Our only real issue was that we are a game/card playing family and the only table to play games was the 72 inch round dining table which didn’t work. We wound up buying a card table. The other thing that was shown in the pictures but we didn’t realize was a sunken tub in the downstairs bath. You could easily fall into it if you weren’t careful. We “barricaded “ it with stools and put throw pillows inside it since our 90 year old mother was staying in that room.

Great location, great accommodations, excellent lake access

I give this property 5 stars all around. However, renters should know that cell service in this area is unreliable, which is an important thing to me when monitoring teenagers. Of course that does not reflect on the owner or the property. This was communicated to us properly in advance of our check-in. Also the Wi-Fi service is come and go, because of the rural location of the property. This was also communicated to us by the owner and does not reflect on the owner or the property. The check-in and check-out instructions were very clear. Parking is tight for all homes in the neighborhood, but there is overflow parking available near the community club house. We brought our boat and launched it at the Triple Creek Marina, which is a short boat ride away. Do not attempt to pull a boat to the house, there are signs clearly marking this, as we were also instructed not to by the owner. Boat and trailer parking is available in a specified area near the club house.
