The property is very conveniently located next to beach access, super easy to walk to and we absolutely LOVE Rockaway Beach. We were however disappointed with the property itself. It is very outdated (VHS players, furniture on their last leg, grimey feel) and super cramped. There was WAY too much stuff everywhere, it felt claustrophobic. An update of furniture, dishes (the pans etc were very old) and a fresh coat of paint could really do wonders with this place. Also, the dishwasher was broken and there was old dog poop in the tiny backyard on our arrival. I really don't think we'll stay here again, but loved the location.

Excellent location

The owner was easy to communicate with, and provided a plethora of excellent information prior to our arrival. While we enjoyed our stay, it is due to the location - proximity to the beach, nearby amenities, and the many beauties of the area. The property itself has good bones, however, the inside needs to be gutted of all current furniture, deep cleaned, and then updated. We would be willing to pay more once this is done.

Great location!!!

This was one of the better posts and properties that I have stayed at over the past few years. With very difficult flight problems over the IT worldwide outage, the host made every accommodation for us. We were well taken care of at every turn. The home is fantastic with several amenities for families to take advantage of the surrounding beaches. Location is great and we can't wait to make another trip with hopes to stay at the same place!

Great place, great location

The stay was very pleasant. The beach is literally short safw walk right around the corner.The house is small but laid out very well. With 4 kids and 3 adults we were quite comfortable. Will definitely be back.

Great location to visit the Oregon Coast

This property was a short walk to the beach. Everything is helpfully labeled in the house. We used it as home base to visit the Oregon Coast between Cape Meares and Cannon Beach. Great communication with owner, and we received helpful information about the tide pools along the coast and how to interpret the tides. This house will work for 2 couples (if one doesn't mind twin beds), or for a family with 2 or 3 children sharing a room. The kids WILL fight over who gets to stay in the cool loft area though!

Great family getaway

We love the privacy and convince of this property. We have been coming here since 2014, and always look forward to our stay. The location is prime, just a block from the beach. The kitchen is adequately stocked and the owner is trustworthy.

Starting with the positive, the location is nice and exactly as expected. Also, the small yard was completely fenced in making it very dog friendly. Unfortunately, there are way more negatives to this property. Everything had a layer of dust on it. Both shower curtins were moldy. House needed a lot of deep cleaning, updating and general maintenance including the exterior.

Close and Clean

A beautiful beach is literally a two minute easy walk. Quiet area. House was clean and well organized. NO bugs or mold! Appliances worked well, including washer/dryer. We didn't use the outdoor spaces. Parking was easy and checkout cleaning was fine. Good communication with host.

Another Great Stay

This is our second time back to this property which should be a ringing endorsement on its own. Once again, a great stay. 5 days of beach walks, relaxing and perfect weather all wrapped into this wonderful beach property. Vik (the property owner) is a fabulous host. Everything is spelled out and the house is laid out beautifully for our tastes. Thanks again to Vik and VRBO on this beach escape.

My husband and I enjoyed staying here with my father and our dogs. We especially appreciated the two bedrooms being on separate floors and each having its own bathroom. The kitchen is very well equipped.

Great home, great location and great host

This place is well positioned to explore the coast by foot, bike, kayak, train or car. It has great gathering space as well as spaces to spread out. Vic is a great host and has the place well equipped with everything we needed. He provided lots of recommendations and sought our feedback to make sure future guests will also be well cared for and able to optimize their vacation. We appreciated the simple cleaning before checkout and lower cleaning fees and wish more places did this.

Nice Property

This is a nice property that is really close to the beach. The kitchen is well stocked with cooking utensils, pots, pans, etc... The wi-fi works great which is nice. This was a nice cozy place to stay. I would stay here again if I had the chance.

Comfortable place, very close to the beach. This area is not over run with too many people. Quiet neighborhood. The parking seemed a little tight but adequate. We worked with the neighbors. I hope we get to visit the house agian.

As advertised and better!

We just checked out after a long weekend in Rockaway. Vik, the property owner, was incredibly accommodating. He went above and beyond to make sure our stay was the best it could be. The property is well-maintained and easy to get to. It's one block from the beach and there's a trail from just across the street to the beach that opens right at Twin Rocks, one of the areas most striking landmarks. Rockaway is perfect for travelers. You'll find everything you need there with long, open beaches, a variety of welcoming restaurants, well-stocked stores and it's in perfect proximity for short jaunts north and south into other coastal towns and getaways. Or...you can just spend your time in Rockaway at the house and be completely satisfied. I hope it's evident we enjoyed our stay and will be back.

Great stay near Rockaway for families with a small dog

Overall recommended. This worked great for our family of 4 with a small dog. Great location, not waterfront but a very short walk and you emerge onto the sand with a view directly at Twin Rocks. For a quiet location with good access to the beach, this is great. It is a mile or so into Rockaway where there are restaurants and shops. Nice little backyard and bbq spot to hang out. House is comfortable. Only thing to be aware of is that there is some setup and cleanup you’ll need to do (put sheets on beds, vacuuming, etc). But with that is a reduced cleaning fee compared to a lot of the other rentals in the area that seem to gouge you pretty significantly. Communication and info was comprehensive. If I was back in the area, I’d re-book this place.

Less than a block from the beach, great communication.

This place truly is a minute walk to the beach which was not crowded at all when we went there. The first night we stayed the weather was beautiful all day so we were able to walk the dogs down to the beach and let them burn off some energy. The house provided towels, a cooler, and even chairs if we had decided to use them. Plus a bunch of other items that would take me forever to list. Had the weather be nicer we would also have taken advantage of the upper sundeck and the lower deck which has a bbq, chairs etc. much like your own backyard. Plus, it's fenced if you bring your pup. We ended up buying some wood from one of the nearby markets and had a beach fire that evening. We were very thankful there was not a lot of wind. The weather is always hit or miss in Rockaway and surrounding OR coastal areas but that is to be expected. However, even if the weather is stormy like it was our 2nd night it's still cozy and there are games, movies, puzzles and plenty of cooking tools. You will find everything you need. It was a little unorganized but it's probably just due to past guests placing items in various places. However, we found the labels with instructions throughout the house to be very helpful. Vik, our contact was very responsive and helped with all of our questions and concerns. I would definitely recommend this place for couples or small families.
