The Space:
Barefoot Beach Shack is located on "the main strip" of Sandy Point, with ideal direct beach access, a huge double block for boat parking, all within walking distance to the General store, Mini Golf and Waratah Surf Club.
The home is 2 Bedroom, 2 bathroom (1 toilet) and contains 2 Queen beds - perfect for two couples to plan a beach getaway.
The hub of the home is open plan with Kitchen/dining and living spaces all adjoining. For heating, there is an open grate combustion wood fireplace and a split system.
In the wamer months, both bedrooms have ceiling fans.
The kitchen is fully equipped with a Gas oven + stove top, Fridge/Freezer combo, Sandwich toaster, Air fryer, and other essential cooking utesils. There is no coffee machine.
In the lounge space, there is a day bed (optional 3rd bed), a wall mounted tv and a laptop friendly workspace - Wifi is provided.
Bathroom 1 contains a shower, basin and toilet. Bathroom 2/laundry contains a shower (shin height, step-in) and a washing machine.

- LINEN BYO: Bedding (doonas, pillows + blankets) are provided but Sheets, Covers and Towels are BYO

- NO PARTIES: Hens/Bucks nights + schoolies are strictly prohibited
- While the property is fully furnished and well equipped, it may not have all appliances and equipment you may be used to using. We apologize if this causes inconvenience.
- This property is NOT FENCED. Pets are welcome but please keep this in mind.
Guest Access:
You have use of the entire house and yard. Guest access information will be provided the day of your arrival via email. This will include details on how to locate the property, where to locate the key safe, and the key safe combination to access the keys.
The Neighborhood:
Situated approximately 2.5 hours from Melbourne and approx. 40 mins to Wilsons Promontory. The property is located close to the Ocean beach for swimming, surfing and fishing. At Sandy Point there is a Surf Lifesaving club which patrols the beach over summer; they also have a bar, occasional meals and events. Launch a boat from Shallow Inlet for or enjoy kite surfing & jet skiing (not supplied). The Sandy Point General store is the hub for groceries, bait, boat hire, petrol, gas, alcohol and an Australia Post outlet. Paradise Point Café is the only Café is town and has snacks, sit down & takeaway meals, a beer garden, live entertainment over summer. A small Mini golf course is located next to our office on Beach Parade. Playgrounds & public BBQ areas are located next to the Sandy Point Hall. Tennis courts are located behind the Sandy Point hall and equipment can be hired from the General Store. The Sandy Point Hall hosts art festivals, markets & other events over summer. If you are staying at Port Welshpool you are very close to the world famous Port Welshpool Long Jetty, and the departure jetty for cruises to Wilson's Prom, as well as Port Albert and other towns. If you are staying at Fish Creek or Waratah Bay, it's only a short trip to Meeniyan, driving on some of the most picturesque country roads in South Gippsland. If you are staying in Toora, you are only 20 minutes from Foster, and surrounded by the beautiful rolling hills of South Gippsland.
Getting Around:
Sandy Point is a small coastal town, so walking is the preferred method of getting around. Cars are required to get around if you wish to explore the country side and surrounding areas
Other Things to Note:
Due to the closure of the Gippsland Power Stations, during peak times (i.e. the middle of summer) we are prone to power blackouts. Mobile phone coverage can also be poor, travellers are advised to use Telstra for the best coverage in our area. This is unfortunately completely out of our control. Each property in Sandy Point is on tank water and septic systems.
Interaction with Guests:
We are Real Estate Property Managers, managing this house on behalf of the owners. Our Ray White Real Estate office is located at 111 Beach Parade, Sandy Point, should you have any questions or concerns. The office hours are Monday-Friday 9am-5pm and we are available by appointment on weekends and public holidays. Should you have an emergency at the property we have emergency contact numbers located in your confirmation emails so that youâre able to get in touch with us.
