This huge family home offers panoramic views over the Brynderwyn ranges, surrounding hills and countryside and distant views of Mangawhai and the Ocean - all only 5 minutes drive from Mangawhai Village AND Mangawhai Heads shops and our beautiful beach.
Here your group has total privacy and is ideal for 2 families or larger groups who want to get together for a peaceful holiday away from the hustle and bustle but still very close to the shops cafes and all else that Mangawhai has to offer.
Whether you are coming for a summer break (beach is down the road or try sunbathing in privacy on the upper deck!) or a winter break (relax by the fire and enjoy a lovely winters meal and a few wines at the massive dining table) Hilltop Retreat will suit your needs.

This property was perfect; we had a wonderful sewing retreat, plenty of bedroom configurations, and with two living spaces, there was plenty of room for our sewing machines and projects. Would highly recommend.

the house was perfect for a group of 11 - everything worked and the fire place especially was a win for a July get away. It was fairly clean but lots of dust and found underwear under one of the beds. Thanks for having us in your cozy home

Very welcoming hosts and a very well-equipped and spacious comfortable home. It has a ‘Nana’s place’ vibe, so it would be a great place to bring family groups with kids. We loved the quiet rural atmosphere, and yet wonderful beaches and the township were so accessible.

Huge space with lots of hangout areas. Plenty of space for kids or different groups to do their own thing. Good functional kitchen for those big shared meals. Had a great stay with friends.

The house is a great size for extended family with areas where we could all be together but also enough space to be apart and do our own thing when we felt like it We all really enjoyed our stay!

The size was great ,fitted our family with ease.Upstairs shower and the ensuite shower could do with some TLC,ensuite shower mixer handle came away in my wife’s hand,managed to fix it but very annoying.Some TLC then the house would be great and a good location.

BachCare personnel were welcoming and responsive to an appliance issue. For our extended family's holiday with 2 dogs, the 3 living rooms and number of bedrooms suited us well.Proximity to Mangawhai Heads and a shopping hub was convenient.There was room to enjoy being together and quiet spaces for time out. Hilltop Retreat was ideal for relaxing after a day at the nearby surf beaches. We enjoyed our stay and recommend it to groups wanting a spacious home.
