Thanks for your feedback, we do state in the arrival email that the water is untreated (as below) but maybe you missed that? Mangawhai doesn't currently have a reticulated water system. WATER: Unless otherwise advised, the property is on tank or bore water water which is untreated.

Hi Sharon, firstly I am sorry you had an issue with mosquitoes, they can be around properties close to water but normally the units the owners have installed at the house deal with them. It was very hot and wet around the time you stayed so they may have been particularly bad then and possibly they were breeding in greater numbers than normal. We have had guests stay since without issues and the owners has introduced some further measures to help. Regarding the upstairs bedrooms, they are suitable for adults and in fact most of our stays they are used by adults but as mentioned in the listing the ceilings are lower so that can be more challenging for above average height individuals. Similarly the stairs are fine for adults unless your mobility is limited and they are pictured so guests can decide if they are suitable for them. Obviously for anyone elderly they would be challenging though but that can be they case for stairs in any multi level homes. It has been warm this summer but this is the first comment we have had about the rooms upstairs being too hot and there are 3 fans at the house that can be used for those bedrooms and there are screens on the windows so they can be opened for airflow. Thanks for your feedback, I will pass on to the owner regarding the linen and the blind has been sorted so it does go all the way down, apologies the cord was stuck in the wind mechanism. I am glad you otherwise enjoyed your stay.
