Hanalei Bay Resort overlooks Hanalei Bay from a tropical, lush 28 acres in Princeville. Beautiful ocean and Bali Hai views are everywhere on this property. Beach access is provided down a long, fair grade, paved path, and the resort staff offer convenient golf cart rides to the beach below. With four new artificial turf and two new hard courts as well as 6 new pickleball courts added to this world ranked tennis resort, everyone is sure to find their groove. Onsite restaurant, pizza oven, and coffee shop, concierge and fitness center, there is little need to ever leave!

Located at the private end of the resort, this spacious two bedroom two bath condo has views that display Kauai at its finest! The full kitchen will accommodate meal preparation and the BBQ area is quite close by! The large living area has a trundle bed (two twins) and the sofa also folds out into a queen sleeper. The condo is stocked with beach chairs, boogie boards and a beach cooler. The resort has many amenities to keep you busy, some to include, on site bar/lounge, 2 swimming pools, a hot tub, a fire pit arena, tennis and pickle ball courts and a fitness center. Furthermore the direct beach access is a bonus and is rare for Princeville complexes. Kauai is home to miles of amazing pristine beaches and a whole array of fun activities such as kayaking, golfing, zip lining, surfing, hiking and much more.

Highly recommend this condo for families. Quiet location away from the main pool and bar, with outstanding views of the ocean and the mountains. Abundant wildlife to entertain us while we are at the condo and shuttle service to the beach. The staff were super friendly and accommodated all our needs.

The property is fairly simple but nice. The views are breathtaking. The location is unbeatable-- minutes from great beaches + Hanalei. Hanalei Bay Resort overall is one of my favorite places on the planet.

HBR is a great resort and we really enjoyed staying in these units. They were in great conditions and had everything we needed. The view of Hanalei Bay and the ocean is amazing - we had a front row seat to the sunset every night.

This location was ideal for our stay & the accommodations were clean/great. We were only there for 2 nights. I would stay there again. Only issues were the internet was out- property wide for the last night & morning of departure. Also, by the time you paid the VRBO, Vacation Realty fees, and property owner the $289 turned into $850/nght. A little price...

Breathtaking Paradise

Intensely beautiful view of mountains and sea. Be prepared for walking up and down hills. Swimming pool is amazing. Happy Talk Lounge is one of my favorite places. The lobby extremely beautiful. Nicest staff in the world.

Loved the resort - every activity you need a shuttle, need pool bar back. Thats was in the ad, but it is closed.

Property was not very clean. Maintenance showed up after check in to re-set the toilet and they left a bit of a mess. The rest of the unit wasn’t very clean our kids found a pepperoni on the outside furniture. There was no additional toilet paper rolls which we would have grabbed from the store had we known they wouldn’t be provided. The front desk informed us since this is a privately owned unit they could provide a roll for a charge. Parking was a nightmare. If you left in the evening you couldn’t get a parking spot upon your return. I wish the unit was more clear in setting expectations. Our deposit was never retuned despite leaving a spotless unit

As for your security deposit, it was refunded on July 14, just eight days after your departure on July 6. We hope to have the opportunity to provide a smoother experience in the future.

Great location, beautiful resort…….

Beds were comfortable, bathrooms were clean and updated. Outdoor furniture was very nice and love the trouble in the living room. Not sure why my family needed the attached spare single apartment rented because we would have had plenty of space to sleep in the main condo. Kitchen felt outdated. Carpet for sure needed to be replaced. Also would state we paid for resort fees/parking that was not part of the overall expense anywhere stated in the paper work. That was an unexpected expense to the property.

Aloha! This condo can be rented with or without the attached studio. A guest can book one or the other, or both as in this case. We cannot book for guests. The carpet and kitchen updates are planned for late fall/early winter, new photos will be posted on completion. Any additional fees, i.e. resort, parking, etc. are listed in the policies once the accommodation has been booked.

A bad rental unit at Hanalei Bay Resort

Rating Details: The property manager was very unhelpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was more than happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a very bad stay at this unit. We arrived and the front blinds are completely broken, the TV was missing a remote control and not usable, the stove burner knob broke on first uses, and the ice maker was not working/broken. The unit needs a renovation and not worth the price we paid.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Arriving from a long plane flight it was amazing to arrive at a rental condo with everything a family could desire. We knew flying to Kauai we wanted to snorkel so we brought our own but when we arrived there were masks and snorkels available to be used along with all the beach supplies a family could want including chairs, umbrella, blanket, and beach toys. Hanalei Bay Resort is always beautiful, and the location of the Condo provides better sunset views then the location the resort made to observe sunsets. The kitchen supplies were amazing also with everything you need to cook the only thing lacking were spices, but they did provide plenty of salt and pepper. I would use this again for sure. The management company was easy to work with and were in constant contact throughout the trip to make sure everything was working properly and even dropped off a broom so we could sweep the floor in a timely manner.

The resort and location are great. The room has a beautiful view and is in a quiet area of the resort. It is at the bottom of a hill so going anywhere on the resort is an uphill walk If that is an issue for you they provide golf cart service and will drive you wherever you need to go. There is a smaller pool and bbq area very close to this suite and the larger pool/ hotub/ sport courts and dining area are a short walk up the hill. The resort has a nice private beach that is shared with the 1 Hotel. We were a bit disappointed with the suite itself. It had a musty smell and could use a few repairs annd deeper cleaning.Our air conditioner was dripping onto the pillow/bed in the lock off when we arrived. We moved the bed away from the wall which left it dripping onto the floor where the outlet and cords were located. We also could not get 2 of the 3 TVs to work. We contacted the number provided to us and didn’t hear back until we contacted them later to let them know we were able to resolve the dripping issue and get one of the 2 TVs to work. We were never able to get the TV in the lock off to work. They also leave the modem and all the cables in a pile on the floor in the lock off. I would recommend for them to at least put it all in a bin or basket on the floor maybe. It was an eyesore when looking out the window at their beautiful view and needing to walk around or step over to go out to the lanai. If we were to take another trip and planned to spend more time

Exceeded expectations adult family of 4

We arrived after 9pm and it was pouring rain but check-in was very simple at the HBR front desk, staff was friendly and helpful and a golf cart helped us with all our luggage to our unit. We received HBR towels for pool/beach and wristbands for resort access. Unit is large, clean and well-stocked. All linens, towels, kitchen & bathroom supplies were great. We stopped at Costco near the airport on our way in for initial food supply. Kitchen has everything we needed including a few seasonings. Closet was stocked with snorkels/masks/fins, boogie boards, pool noodles, tennis racquets and balls. Outside, the view never disappointed! Rainbows, mountains, ocean, daily visits from chickens, geese, birds, even had a gecko visitor on our balcony wall. Ate every meal on the deck… did not use the AC at all, just slept with screen doors and the sounds of nature/rain and perfect temperature each day & night. We walked to/from the beach each day, but it’s a fairly steep walk each way so you can also take advantage of the HBR golf cart if you prefer. We would stay here again!

Amazing view, needs more major updates

Although this unit has been freshly painted and has new flooring, it still needs major updates. The outdoor furniture was dirty and falling apart. Also, when contacting management of the unit with issues or requests it took hours if not days for them to respond. They were helpful once they responded. The resort itself is nice with amazing grounds & views. You do have the beautiful view of the sunset from this unit. Please note that this unit is one of the furthest from the main area/lobby. We enjoyed the long walk however there are golf carts available for drop offs & pick ups if needed. The resort staff was friendly and professional. No complaints with the resort itself, just with this particular property. I would not recommend staying here unless more updates are made.

The HBR property gorgeous, as usual. We enjoyed Happy Talk and time at the pool. The location of this unit has its plusses and minuses. On the up-side--very quiet, private and away from the pools, restaurant, tennis courts, etc. That can also be on the down-side! It was a long, up-hill walk to any of those places. Fine for our younger relatives, not so great for someone with bad knees. The carts did not always make it to us in a timely manor and we had quite a bit of rain, so the hill was an issue. The view was okay, but not nearly as nice as buildings 8 & 9, where we have stayed before. We are spoiled.

Paradise with an unbeatable location

This is my second time starting at this property. Last time in 2012. It’s so relaxing and the grounds are amazing. The unit we rented was perfect for us 5 adults. We had a couple minor issues that it was confusing to know who to contact. When we checked in, we got a text message from the resort asking how everything was now that we were checked in and to let us know if anything was wrong with the room. So when I responded to say that the toaster wasn’t working they said oh you need to contact you’re on-island contact not the resort. So when I asked about the fact, they just said is anything wrong with the room they said oh that’s just a automatic text message that goes out to new guests. Huh? Confusing. Our air conditioner briefly stopped working too. Once I figured out who to contact they were very responsive. I would definitely stay here again. This unit is at the bottom of the hill so it’s quite a walk to the parking lot but on the plus side they have golf carts with employees who drive around and will give you rides if you need help. Also the bed and pillow were amazingly comfortable, seriously! Would definitely stay here again.

Outer island visit

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The place was nice and relaxing with great views. The location being at the bottom of the hill was a little hard for my elderly mother but we made it work.
