Summary:
Right on The Strand at Oceanside City Beach: step off the patio and you're on the sand. A clean, simple one-bedroom in a seven-unit beach building — queen bed, sleeper sofa, full kitchen, wall A/C and ceiling fans, a balcony with surf views to the north, dog-friendly. Three things to know before booking: the lot next door is under construction, the parking space fits compact cars only, and you'll hear neighbors in this older building. Details in "Other things to note."
The Space:
One bedroom with a queen bed, a ceiling fan, and a large closet. Living room with a sleeper sofa, a ceiling fan, a wall A/C unit, and a balcony facing the ocean. Sleeps four. Full kitchen, oversized shower with strong hot water, and beach chairs and an umbrella for your use. The unit is up one short flight of exterior stairs (8–10 steps) from the parking area. Laundry is a shared, app-operated washer and dryer in the building — no coins needed — not in the unit.
Guest Access:
Self check-in with a keypad. Your door PIN is sent before arrival and activates at your check-in time (3pm unless you've booked an early check-in). One assigned parking space; see "Other things to note" for size limits. WiFi details are in your check-in message and posted inside.
The Neighborhood:
You're on The Strand at Oceanside City Beach -- central Oceanside, where the locals are. The Oceanside Pier and downtown are a 10-minute walk north. The harbor and its restaurants are a 15-minute walk north.
Carlsbad Village is 10 minutes by car.
Nearby: 333 Pacific (fine dining), Pizza Port, Craft Coast Beer & Tacos, Iron Fist Brewing, and the iconic Top Gun house (yes, really).
Regional day trips: San Diego (35 min), LEGOLAND (15 min), Disneyland (50 min).
Getting Around:
One assigned parking space at the unit (compact cars and small SUVs only — see "Other things to note"). The pier, downtown restaurants, and the harbor are all walkable along The Strand; most guests park once and walk for the rest of the stay.
Other Things to Note:
CONSTRUCTION: A new home is being built on the south side of our building. Work runs weekdays roughly 7:30am–4pm, occasionally Saturdays. The south half of the balcony view is blocked by the structure and mesh screening; the view north along the beach is open. Our listing photos were taken before this project began.
PARKING: One assigned space in a tight lot. Compact cars and small SUVs fit; full-size trucks, vans, and large SUVs do not. Free street parking on Pacific Street above, a two-minute walk.
NOISE: This is an older beach building with thin walls and floors. You will hear footsteps from the unit above. Light sleepers, bring earplugs.
AIR CONDITIONING: One wall unit in the living room, plus ceiling fans in the living room and bedroom. Summer evenings in the bedroom can be warm.
DOGS: One dog welcome with prior approval, $35/night. Unauthorized pets are a $500 fee.
