The apartment was as shown in the photos. The kitchen had most amenities except a toaster. Air conditioning was very important as it was 30 C every day and the Euro Cup was on so the bar nearby was boisterous until Italy lost the match, so it would have been too noisy to have had windows open! Otherwise it was very quiet. The location was close to the river and generally 20-30 minutes walk from major sites so we didnât need transit or taxi. Lots of restaurants in the neighborhood about 5 minutes walk or 15 minutes on the other side of the river.
We had a great visit to Rome. Love staying in the Trastevere neighborhood. Wonderful for restaurants, walking, exploring, the Tiber River, shopping, and a quick walk to the main sites of Rome. The apartment is comfortable, clean, and has everything you need. Communication was great with the hosts. The only thing that would have been helpful was more help with transportation. When I asked for help with getting to and from the apartment. Whether it be to the train station, or somewhere else, I was given little help. Rome is extremely busy and notorious for taxis not showing up, a little help would have been appreciated with setting these couple of trips up for us.
Area was good but didn't realize we were next to a prison. Got a bit noisy some evenings. Door was stuck a few times and my wife couldn't open.
However, it was still a great place that enabled us easy access to so many areas. Place was very tidy and once there, easy to contact host. Sometimes confused who to contact prior to arrival.
Our family loved our Trastevere get-a-way! Easy and charming walk to all this historic neighborhood has to offer. Communication with management was consistent and clear, and check in/out was a breeze! We were able to check in a bit early which was wonderful considering our very long and tiresome journey.
The home was well appointed and very clean. The small washing machine was very much appreciated! We didn't cook during our stay, but it appeared the kitchen was ready to do so if you wished. Too many good restaurants in the area!
While we loved the location it should be noted that this unit shares walls with the neighbors, who at least during this trip, were very active late at night with talking, dog barking and TV noise permeating into the bedroom. Additionally, we were unfortunate to be there during a patio renovation of some sorts which happens to be immediately under the bedroom and bathroom windows. The neighbors were jackhammering, drilling and "discussing" loudly starting around 10A for 2 out of our 3 days there. Usually the daytime noise would not bother us as we typically are out and about, however we stayed in back a few days to catch up on sleep and the noise prevented any napping.
We know we were staying in the city so we expected communal noise and activity, so we just dealt with it - but just be aware you are in this environment and to expect city life. This would not prevent us from coming back as we loved how close it was to everything. :)
We had a really great vacation in Rome and enjoyed our time in this wonderful city a lot. We will definitely come again. The apartment was nice, and we have nothing bad to say about it. Thank you! Grazie mille!
We enjoyed our stay in this quiet, cool, and comfortable apartment. Beds were comfy and we had everything we needed. Super convenient without being in the middle of the tourist chaos. Payment was a little different from the usual VRBO procedure, but it worked out fine. We will certainly try to book this place again next time we come to Rome. Grazie!
â€ïžTrastevere was the perfect stay for us. Location is super convenient for us with short walks to restaurants and buses to all over Rome. Ekaterina was a perfect host, meeting us later than her normal check-in and her place is LOVELY! Very clean, comfortable, and one we would definitely return to. Our favorite restaurants were local in the heart of Trastevere. We (two women in our 60's) felt safe and very comfortable. I took the bed in the living area and slept well, and my friend had the bedroom and she slept great. When she departed, I took the bedroom and so I can say it was too very comfortable. I am a light sleeper and there is some night traffic noise to be heard from the living room but not enough to complain about. I just want to be honest and if there must be any negative, (which I don't think there are) this would be it. I am a light sleeper so others might not even hear it. Wonderful walks along the river/across the bridges or through town found us in perfect morning cafes and plenty of shopping also! We spent one full day walking through the Jewish Ghetto, on to the Pantheon, the Trevi Fountain, and to the Spanish steps and back. Our only complaint was we never found a local business for foot massages but they were undoubtedly there as well. I fell in love with Rome and I would stay here at this location in a heartbeat. Ekaterina arranged for private transfers for us and they were both punctual and professional. Since we traveled alone, it was just easier for us vs taking our luggage along the cobblestone streets to the train via the bus. At arrival we took the train to the Trastevere station and a taxi and that was super simple as well. We were also exhausted so the private transfer was a luxury. Valentina checked us out of our apartment and she was equally lovely. I don't have enough kind words to say about our stay. Thank you ladies for your excellent service. We wish you all the best with your business!! Diane and Barb
I cannot say enough about this wonderful apartment. First of all, Ekaterina was so great, I sent her many emails and had to make some adjustments with my booking. She replied quickly, and was so patient with all of my inquiries. Valentina met us at the apt and showed us around and answered our questions about the area. She was lovely. Trastevere is a fantastic neighborhood. Many restaurants within walking distance. Quiet neighborhood. The apartment is exactly as advertised. Clean, stylish, efficient, roomy. They were kind and left coffee for the morning and there was laundry soap for us to use. I would highly recommend staying here, and would book again! The only suggestion I would have would be to replace the shower head, maybe leave 2 extra towels and secure the shower doors....they were a little wibbly wobbly. But, this did not hinder our stay at all in this fantastic apartment. You will be thrilled if you have the chance to stay here. Thank so much Ekaterina and Valentina. I hope to see you the next time we are in Rome! Grazie!!
Trastevere is a great location full of lively nightlife, small cafes and great restaurants. Although close to all the action, this is a nice, quiet apartment. Ekaterina is an attentive hostess. The apartment is nicely decorated, the bedroom is large with storage, and two ceiling fans help to keep it cool. As with all VRBOs, spend time upon arriving with the hostess to become familiar with how everything works in the apartment. Our only recommendation is for a notebook in the apartment detailing how to use all the appliances, etc. and with maps and transit information. I would definitely recommend this VRBO to anyone visiting Rome.
