Beautiful house

Very spacious house with lots of attention of the furnishings , lots of kitchen equipment and tableware. Swimmingpool area also spacious, lots of water play stuff , nice gazebo !! Short walk to the beach 👍! Parking in front of the house. Had a great time .

Great for the price!

Convenience to the beach was amazing. House had all the basics and was well laid out and comfortable. Very kid friendly and would stay there again!

Beachfront trail Home

All and all we really loved our stay here. It was very spacious for our group of 6. Literally like a block away from the beach. I needed to ask a few questions after we got here and I sent a text, they were very quick to respond. Definitely will refer this house to others

We has some major issues with the range/oven ( it didn't work for almost three days) but they eventually fixed it and all ended well. Loved the home, beach access and pool!

Beautiful property & close location to everything!!

House was beautiful and perfect location. Not the homeowners fault, but the people prior to our stay were slobs. In the kitchen their trash was left in the can. We also continued to find empty soda cans, opened bags of chips and garbage throughout the house in kitchen drawers, adult bedroom dresser drawers and shoved in between the walls and kid beds. Also the hot tub should not be advertised as a “hot” tub, it’s a pool with jets that can be heated for an additional cost. This is not clear in the advertising and misleading.

Nice until you look closer

the house overall is fine but if your allergic to mold i wouldn't stay here the upstairs master is covered in it, next to the fridge in the grout its gross i sent multiple photos and no one got back to me. i was sick from the mold by the end of the week.

Doesn’t live up to its potential

The place was cute, but definitely needs some TLC. Walking distance to the beach which was nice, but to go to do anything, you sat in traffic at all times. The cleaning was subpar unfortunately. The toilets were dirty still. Mold in the master shower itself and all over the ceiling. Carpet stains in the master and the bed definitely wasn’t comfortable. Lots of places you see debris stuck on the walls. The TV wouldn’t work in the downstairs bedroom where my parents were staying. I paid for 4 days of pool/hot tub heating, but the hot tub was lukewarm (they did come and fix that), however the next day the pool heat and hot tub heat were both off so the kids couldn’t swim (it was super chilly out). The maintenance guys came later the next day and got everything on again, but we missed out on some time for sure. The property management company was pleasant to deal with but as busy as they are it took away from time we paid for. I did love the layout of the home, but for the pay I expected better from the establishment.

Great home but major problems

Internet NEVER worked. We tried calling phone number 3 different times and the last one we started out #155 in line. After 2 hours on hold we drove to the office and were told someone would be out. Two techs came and said they could not fix it and needed the internet provider to come out. They put a rush on it but did came to the house 4 days later (night before we were to leave). Individual said all the wiring outside needed to be replaced by an electrician. Our Vacasa representative told the man from the internet company that this was the third time the internet had gone out in the last 3 months. Pool heat was wonderful when we arrived but at several times during our stay it would go out. Called office and they had someone come out, couldn’t tell us why it was happening. Spoke to a couple who had rented this house in the past and they said last year the pool heater didn’t work most of the 6 weeks they rented the house. Needless to say, they chose a different house this year for their long stay. On the upside, the house was very roomy, close to many restaurants and shopping, and just a short walk to the beach. Would rent it again if I could be guaranteed everything would be working. They said I would be compensated for the issues, but let’s see what their idea of compensation is compared to mine.

Location was perfect! Pool was also wonderful! Deck off the master BR and the top floor sitting area with the ocean view was used and enjoyed tremendously in the mornings. We used every inch of the home and the layout was great! The beach chairs being set up every day was fantastic and the bikes were very appreciated!! Detractors: uncomfortable mattresses and pillows and lack of comfy blankets were hard to overlook(none of us slept great during the week). Some doors stick and there is visible mold by the vents in the master bathroom and bedroom. The master shower is ready for a redo, too. All that being said I would stay here again…definitely!

Pool/Hot Tub Issues-Avoid Vacasa

12/25 I sent an email to Vacasa requesting that pool heat be turned on for my arrival on 12/27. This email never received a response. 12/27 While in route to the vacation rental, I began a text conversation with a Vacasa customer support agent. The agent stated that the request for pool heat must be made 48-72 hours in advance and that it would take 72 hours to heat the pool. This policy was not stated in the VRBO listing. Additionally, I had emailed 48 hours in advance. The agent stated to be patient and they would respond when they heard back from the local property managers. I never again got a response from this agent. In the meantime, I messaged VRBO. Their agent stated that they filed for a resolution and that Vacasa would have to respond. I never heard back from either. 12/28 In the morning, maintenance came by and supposedly turned on the pool heat. I called VRBO and they said they reached the local Vacasa manager and the pool was heated. I also informed this agent that the hot tub was not heated and towels had been folded and put away while still wet. I never heard back from VRBO or Vacasa. 12/29 We woke up to a cold pool and hot tub. I noticed a number on the booklet left in the rental. I called the local number who stated that the number in the booklet in the house was a Vacasa management service but that they did not manage this property. I called VRBO again. They were unable to reach anyone at Vacasa and filed for a resolution (though I had been told this happened on 12/27). That afternoon, I was contacted by “Erin”. She stated via text that she could bring fresh towels and could provide compensation for our troubles. She delivered the fresh towels. 12/30 I once again called VRBO. By this time I had a case number, but to be honest, I don’t remember during which of these calls it was generated. This agent was able to make contact with Vacasa. She reported that they would look into it and that I should call back in 24 hours. 1/1 via Erin, I was offered $150. Note-the pool does require a fee to heat. I have no problem with this! I was never responded to via phone or email with a method to pay for pool heat. So no, I did not pay for heating the pool. I have 13 perfect reviews as a guest on another popular vacation rental site. I never leave bad reviews, as issues are mostly trivial. Do not stay in this house. There are hundreds to choose from in 30a. This is in no way worth your time or trouble.

Okay stay

House needs a little love, toilets are rickety, pool was super dirty when we arrived and took a few days to get someone to repair and clean. Needed a fan upstairs. Otherwise, a good house for a crew and a decent walk to the beach! Very damp and humid in the upstairs rooms but kids didn’t seem to mind. Just an okay stay due to issues in the house.

Very nice stay close to the beach

We really enjoyed how clean and beautifully decorated the house was. There is every kind of kitchen tool you will need. There are no condiments so guests should prepare to bring all food items such as salt and pepper. The kids really liked the board games, block sets, toys, and books. We have younger aged kids. It is really close to the beach and the beach cart, chairs, beach toys, and boards provide all the things you will need for the beach. Beach chairs were already setup with our name on it. Access to bicycles was also nice but we didn’t use it much because we had younger kids who can’t ride a bike. It was nice also having the pool.

Great vacation.

Had great stay at waves. Appreciated the kitchen amenities that included a blender and and crockpot. I used them every day. The grill was small (not the one you see in pictures) and we had difficulty getting all of our meat and veggies to fit but managed. 4 Bikes with the house were awesome. We biked to the big chill and it was a flat 3 miles one way. Sidewalk or trail the whole way. Beach is literally a 45 second bike ride or 5 min walk. 2 big coolers and a beach cart are there to use. There were 2 chairs along with sand toys to use. The rental provided 4 chairs and 2 umbrellas on beach from 9-5 every day of our stay and that was awesome. House was very clean. Plenty of bath towels and linens. No beach towels were provided. Not a problem but just pointing it out so others know. Private pool was great. We would absolutely stay here again. Lookout tower was neat. Small ocean view from up there, nice view of neighborhood mostly.

This place was exactly what the description said. Also, less than a 5 min walk to beach. Everything was clean upon arrival. Liked the fact there was a outside water hose/shower to get sand off before getting in pool or the house. Would definitely return and recommend.

We Will Be Back

Wonderful location. Steps to the beach. Beautiful pool with gazebo to escape the hot sun. We found the beach cart to be particularly helpful. Can’t wait to return!

Great location

The house had everything we needed and the location was great. The kitchen was fully equipped. There were plenty of towels. Vacasa was very good at responding to inquires. The pool was nice and was cleaned while we were there. The negatives were concering the patio furniture. The cushions were rusty in the couch and love seat. Need to he replaced. The pool company sis not let is know when they were coming and also never posted when it wouod be safe to swim. I am a pool owner and there are some chemicals that you ahould wait for couple of houra i. Order to enter. We had a toddler with us . I hope that they will consider this in the future. I would definitely stay here again. Loved the short walk to the beach and all the pool toys and the beach wagon. I enjoyed the quiet street also.

Amazing Escape in the Perfect Location

This is our second year visiting Santa Rosa Beach but the first time at this property as well as working with Vacasa. The property itself was perfect. We traveled with 2 families each with 2 adults and 2 children. The house had 2 master bedrooms and one bunk room with 2 sets of built in bunk beds so perfect for our families. The backyard with pool was a dream and we were a 2 minute walk to the beach. Logan at Vacasa was the best to work with and honestly the one who got things done. We had pre-paid for pool heat only for it to go out after the second day. Logan was off work so we went two days without but as soon as she got back, it was fixed and we were credited for the days missed! This house did not come with a lot of additional amenities such as beach towels, extra kitchen items such as foil/baggies/condiments like other houses have in the past but not a deal breaker. Definitely looking forward to going back again next year!

Wonderful relaxing time

The location of this home is absolutely perfect being steps away from the beach and right in between Seaside and Rosemary. Our girls had easy access to both areas and enjoyed the restaurants and shopping. My husband and I loved the quiet and beautiful neighborhood this home is in. The pool was most definitely a wonderful addition to the house. We had more than enough room in the home. It was clean when we arrived. We very much enjoyed our stay!
