Highly recommend!

This house is super cute and exactly as advertised. It was clean, comfortable and had a great view of Lake Michigan and the Mackinac Bridge. We really enjoyed our stay !

Great Views-wow!

We had a great stay! The place as you walked in has a stunning view of the lake. We saw cool freighters and the bridge. Lots of seating and the place fit us well.

Great location

This was our first VRBO experience. Our kids are in college and it was nice for all of us to have our own space. The view was absolutely gorgeous. We had a great trip.

Beautiful Views!!

Beautiful home and property. Our kids had a great time and we all felt at home. The chairs on the front lawn and fire pit setting were perfect. It was wonderful to have breakfast every morning and enjoy the lakeview.

We loved this property! It had beautiful views. We enjoyed a fire in the fire pit one evening. It had everything we needed for a few days away from home.

Awesome Place To Stay in St Ignace

Stayed at the house for the UP Pond hockey tournament. Great location and very nice home. We got a bunch of snow and the host was very proactive in ensuring the driveway was plowed. I’d certainly recommend and would love to stay again next year - Scooters Shooters

Maine to the UP

We decided on the UP for our annual road trip vacation. MaryJo's house was perfect for our stay. Very clean, comfortable, the views are amazing. Our daughter loved walking over to the lake in the morning and marshmellows were toasted nightly by the fire. Great jumping off spot for exploring the UP.

Beautiful Views

The house had a beautiful view to watch the freighters pass by and watch the sunset. The house had plenty of space to stretch out and relax. We would definitely return.

7 Day Get Away

It was a wonderful relaxing week.. Weather was perfect.. Deck was top notch with plenty of places to sit and not be in direct sunlight.. St. Ignace was a nice little town with plenty of fresh fish and restaurants. Coming back next summer..

Cozy and Relaxing

My husband and I loved our stay here. The location is a great launching point for other U.P. attractions if you're looking to sightsee, or if you prefer to stay put and relax the home itself has an unbeatable view, is very clean, warm and welcoming, nicely decorated, and has an abundance of cozy places to settle down in. I so thoroughly enjoyed having morning breakfast and coffee on the deck, and evenings reading in the comfortable chairs in the living room gave the refreshment we needed. The home had everything we needed and more, and was an absolute gem of a find.

My husband and I had a great time at this property. All was great except the key rig seems to be on its last leg. So glad it was cool weather. Don’t think I could stay here in the summer hot months without a/c.

Best vacation place

This is one of the very best homes we have rented Up North. We take a girls vacation every year and this by far was our favorite spot. The location is great. You can see the bridge from the fire pit. We even saw the weekend fireworks from there. It’s a good location for whatever you want to do. Our favorite thing is sitting on the nice huge deck drinking coffee every morning watching the freighters go by. The beds are comfortable, the house is immaculate the view is gorgeous. We will definitely be back!!!

Could have been a tad cleaner

Owner was very hands off. You can’t beat the location of this property. Only way it could have been better is if there wasn’t a road between the water and the house. It was cleaner than you would expect but could have been better - there was white stains on the sheets on the bed I jumped into the first night. Then I needed to go find extra sheets in a closet to set up the sofa couch which had no bedding. The Coffee machine needed a thorough cleaning before being used. S’mores were provided which was nice. We enjoyed the great weather and visiting the island!

Midges-Flies!

House and view was great! The flies (midges) were the worst, we could not sit outside or enjoy anything outdoors. The neighbor said he couldn't do that to someone, owners are fully aware when they hatch . We all work so hard and to spend money on a trip we could Not go outside was the WORST~!! Never in my life have I seen anything like this!!! I could never do this someone. :(

Best vacation rental ever!

This is by far one of the best rentals we have ever experienced. The views are amazing, loved watching the sunset around the firepit, walks to the beach at the end of the road, watching the boats, the indoor fireplace. We were there to go dog sledding in McMillan, which is about an hour away from St. Ignace. A perfect day filled with sunshine, and perfect snow, we loved the dog sledding! I must mention, we lost a wallet on our first day, never found it, cancelled credit cards, went to St, Ignace Secretary of State to get new drivers license in less than 20 minutes! When we arrived home in Ann Arbor on Saturday, there was an overnight fed ex package with the wallet in it. Someone found it and put it in a mailbox and the post office sent to us! A perfect ending to a week in paradise. We highly, highly recommend this rental, Mary Jo was wonderful with our questions and even loaned us her binoculars!

Beautiful views… too many bugs

We loved the views and decor in this home. However all the good was out weighted by the bad. The home was not fresh or clean. It was dusty but not like a couple days dusty like it hadn’t had a thorough cleaned in several months. Also, the fruit flies were out of control. We had to keep any drink or cup covered to prevent bugs from flying around. The kitchen was completely unusable due to the bugs. I wouldn’t even considering cooking or eating in the kitchen due to all the fruit flies.
