Myself and my wife stayed at Casa Royale for 8 nights. Terry was extremely Helpful and was on hand a telephone call away if we needed anything and went over and above to help, including supplying exention leads for mobility scooters that were needed.Prior to booking he answered any questions promptly. He arranged for our transfers to and from the airport to the villa, Andy was brilliant and even stopped on route so we could go shopping for essentials prior to going to the villa. The villa was exactly as described, it was immaculate, clean, comfortable had aircon, and a heated pool and hot tub all included. The main sea front promanade and indeed shops and lots of resteraunts were all around a 15 minute walk away. Their is even a shop that sells essentials around 4 minutes away on a hotel complex. Gaining access to the villa was easy. The villa is amazing the pool is lovely, large and surrounded by high walls, so very private, beautiful views of the volcanic mountains. Overall the villa, was immaculate, spotlessly clean and location and access to eveything needed was only a 15 minute walk away.Terry was on hand if we needed anything. We had a brilliant holiday and will definitely we coming back again next year.Thank very much to Terry and Andy...from Steve and Claire
Great outdoor space and pool in definitely heated to a lovely temp. Big difference from last villa I stayed at. Terry helped with blocking the windows in bedroom 3 as there were no curtains or blinds. He also visited when we had ants but cleaners went to wrong villa. He came twice to check all was good and also answered emails excellent communication and support. Villa is about 20mins walk to the walkway. We used the car most nights to and from town. Outdoor space was great for baby playing under shade. Hot tub was great. We all made good use of hot tub and pool. Very private with a large wall around pool. Not boxed in just private. No noise from other villas. Great villa and we would definitely book again if available
Nice Villa with lots of outside space with pool bbq and hot tub. Inside the third bedroom was very small with a glazed door and high level widows. The other bedrooms were fine.
Villa was very clean and had everything we needed. It was a bit further out than I expected so the hire car was essential.
Wonderful villa in a perfect but quiet location yet close enough to walk to Playa Blanca and all amenities. Excellent facilities, would definitely recommend. Great and speedy communication with Terry.
I booked this villa after a fair bit of searching for a Christmas and New Yearâs break for me and my two fussy sons.
Terry was very helpful all through the booking process and was on-hand for assistance throughout our stay.
The villa, although basic in the kitchen and living room, was ideal for those wanting to swim in the lovely heated pool and relax in the very nice hot tub, (both of which were cleaned regularly during our stay), and head out to explore the Island. The view of the mountains from the patio, over a coffee in the morning is very nice indeed and will be missed.
Beds were comfortable and bathrooms were spacious with good water pressure.
Wi-Fi speeds were excellent (500Mbps+), so no complaints from the kids.
We only switched on the TV for New Years and it seemed fine.
Although we had neighbours we never heard a peep from them, the villa is very quiet generally although there was some building work going on at the end of the road which broke the silence.
We hired a car before coming over (I can recommend Cicar dot com as being the best value at the time of booking) in order to travel the Island and get into town, but itâs actually only a 15-20min walk.
We had a couple of Indian takeaways delivered (we can recommend Flavour/Spice Lounge - they are the same people - but mostly drove to town to eat out.
The best places for us were:
Gusto (Italain)
Flavours (Indian)
(Both the above in the same part of town).
Ninen (Italian) Very small, book ahead for lovely perfectly cooked home-made pasta.
Camel (Generally everything inc. a good view)
(Both the above in the same area)
That said ,for the basics as well as stuff for breakfast/snacks/fruit/booze etc, thereâs a little supermarket just down the road.
Notes:
December weather was ideal for us and the pool was warm enough (although it got a bit colder on the last two days).
Go to the Volcano at about 2:30/3 â youâll miss most of the organised morning coach queues
Visit La Santa to see surfing (Weather permitting)
Visit Playa de Famara to see wind surfing, stunning views, and a very cool chic vibe. We had the best pizza there.
Head down to the lighthouse in Playa Blanca for the sunset.
If you fancy doing a bit of home cooking in the villa kitchen, bring your own sharp knife!
My eldest son said he wants to go back, so I take that as very highly recommended!
We couldn't fault anything about our booking at all. Terry, the villa manager, was so helpful right from booking through to the very last day of our stay - on hand with lots of helpful information and ready to help if needed, but not in any way overbearing.
The building is lovely and the photos shown actually don't do it justice. It has everything you could ever need and we were more than happy spending most of our time at the villa rather than out and about. The pool is beautiful and theres a brand new hot tub which was nice to use in the evenings when it was a little cooler. My 5 year old son stayed with us and the villa was great for young children, with an outdoor cupboard full of inflatables and pool toys, plenty of shaded areas to play in and English TV/Netflix available when it all gets too much.
The location of the villa is towards the outskirts of town so there aren't really any restaurants or amenities very nearby, but taxis into town were easily ordered via the 1Taxi! app (Spanish equivalent to Uber) and cost just âŹ3-4 Euros per trip. You probably could walk the journey if you wanted to but I wouldn't say the villa was particularly close to anything apart from other villas, however this suited us perfectly as it was a lovely escape from all of the hustle and bustle of the tourist areas which is exactly what we wanted. We were also able to order delivery from a number of restaurants via the Just Eat app which meant that we didn't have to leave the villa at all some days - heaven! Though it is on a residential street, the villa feels very private and we were rarely able to hear the neighbours.
Overall the villa was perfect for a welcome escape from reality. We are already missing it hugely and hope to return in future. A huge thank you to Terry and his whole team who helped make our holiday possible!
