Furniture torn old smelled along with bed covers, carpet rug dirty. Screen torn off door. Urine smell in one bedroom. Hot tub 1 inch of dirt on top of cover weeds all around it did not want to use . 3 flights of stairs. !
Great place to stay as far as cleanliness, accessibility to the town and the river. The only issue is there is no parking and if you get in the last spot by the river you are stuck and canât get out.
The property needed more upkeep, i.e., toilets had to be plunged, arrangement of rooms was awkward and difficult, kitchen did not have towels, extra trash bags, or adequate dishwasher and kitchen equipment/dishes. The closeness to the highway made for difficulty sleeping. The parking was inadequate and difficult to come and go from.
We were glad to have a roof over our heads due to complications with prior lodging, but it was not adequate. Sorry to be so negative, but it needs lots of work and reworking.
Nice place in great location away from the middle of town.
First of all I want to state that Red River is not a 5-star resort town. If you are coming here looking for Breckinridge or Part City type accommodations in Red River you will be disappointed anywhere you stay. That said this unit is probably one of the best around.
This place was clean, had everything youâll need to have a pleasant stay (including fans to move air in those times where it gets a little warm in the summer afternoon without AC).
The description didnât prepare me for the fact that thereâd be so many stairs. It is basically a flight of stairs upon entry in a doorway that is just big enough for the door. Then 2nd floor bedrooms and full bath, more stairs up to 3rd floor main area with kitchen, table, sofa and love seat. Nice porch with chairs and a table. Then last flight of stairs to the loft which is pretty neat.
The river is like 30 feet off the front door and you can hear itâs calming flow every minute. Pleasant surprise. Very tranquil.
My biggest gripe has nothing to do with this place and is the town of Red River itself. Maybe it was because it was off season but I just got the feeling that the shops and restaurants and people of Red River exist in a tourist town that hates tourists. It wasnât outright hostility but a general sense of annoyance and impatience with stupid tourists. Lots of little âdonât do this, donât do thatâ signs and rolling eyes. I hate tourists even when I am one but I donât make a majority of my living from them!
Anyway, Iâd stay here again if I ever returned to Red River, which is not likely. I recommend.
Love being close to town, ski area, and river. If you have trouble with stairs I don't recommend this property. Up to date decor. All appliances worked.
