Hi Elizabeth, thanks for staying with us on your recent trip to Round Lake! As always, its important to us that you have a great time while your at the cabin & enjoying the area. Although it should never be the norm, I do encourage all guests to contact my local property manager if they are having any issues/concerns. My property manager did send a video of the coffee machine working, so he could have gladly helped with the operational issue. I also addressed the utensil as they should be dry & put away prior to arrival. My property manager did point out that there was some wear on one end of the couch so I'll be addressing this winter. Thanks again for staying at our cabin! From our personal discussions it sounds like you enjoyed the cabin and Birkie weekend! As follow up on the review, it is customary with vrbo rentals that the host will provide starter consumables & guest will bring the remaining consumables for their stay. That is the policy we follow & it is mentioned in the listing and check in information. Appreciate you bringing issue up so it can be clarified again. Thank you for the suggestion on the blankets and bedside tables, additionally we'll address any mustiness in basement. I'm glad you enjoyed several features of our cabin. As this is the first 3 star review we've ever received, I'll make a few comments as we always want to make sure our guests enjoy their stay! I apologize for the issue with the paddleboat. Our cabin provides 2 kayaks, 2 paddleboards, a lily pad and of course the paddleboat. Despite other locations or renters charging up to $50 for each of these items, we do not charge anything to the cabin rental rate as we like to use them when we're at the cabin and think it's helpful to our guests not to have to transport or rent. As you can imagine, sometimes these items can be damaged (I just bought a new kayak paddle 2 weeks ago). We're always happy to repair or replace when damage occurs, unfortunately we were unaware of the paddleboat issue. We truly appreciate your help fixing! Our standard starting supply is to provide hand and dish soap as suggested by VRBO. You'll want to bring additional hand/dish soap along with soaps/shampoo for shower. As stated on property description, there is no wifi. Screens for the big sliding doors are a constant item that needs to be repaired and we do so with each new guest. I have touched base with the professional cleaners on the window cleanliness. We do have chairs that many guests use for both the deck and fire pit. We will consider adding deck chairs when I do the property review this fall. Once again, thank you for your input and we will look to continue to improve the property for our guests!

Thanks Judith for your review. I'm glad you were able to enjoy the beautiful view and access to the lake during your quick stay. It's very important to us that our guests have a great stay. We like to think we've worked hard to generate a 4.5+ overall rating and premiere host status over the past 5 years. Thus, we will review your comments closely! Although we hope its rare, upon arrival, if you have questions or concerns, please contact our local property manager and he is always willing to help. I'm sorry about the TV issues. We have a standard smart TV with apple TV/wifi. Additionally we have a dvd player with numerous movies. My property manager has checked out the musty smell and added dry rid just in case. The lights, blindshades also been checked. We appreciate your help with the dehumidifier. Our property manager has also notified the professional cleaners of your damp towel and cobweb concerns. As stated in our listing, there is no air conditioning. As always, we will look to the fall/winter season to make any necessary updates as a busy summer can be a tough on some parts of the cabin. Thank you Clasine for the review! We have recently completed our 3rd year renting the cabin and have at 4.8 star rating from nearly 80 guests! We continue to make improvements to the cabin for our guests enjoyment. This year we added free wifi in time for our summer guests, even though it wasnt in the advertisement. Also purchased 6 high quality adirondack chairs for the deck and 8 new comfortable chairs for the firepit. Over the course of a busy summer, there is always wear and tear. We've had kayaks float away, doors/screens break, etc. In this case, the hardware on a window in basement was broken. Although we've ordered replacement, sometimes it takes a little more time to get an issue fixed. However, we are hopeful the replacement will come soon! We appreciate your patience when these things happen. As always we take a lot of pride in our cabin & in our premiere host status. We try and make your trip as pleasant and convenient by providing such things as water toys (kayaks, stand up paddleboards, etc) along with overflow parking that is within an easy walk. As summer ends, we will be taking our guests suggestions and look to make more improvements to provide our future guests with many more memorable trips to Round Lake. Thanks Randy
