Le Hemlocks est un chalet chéri et confortable situé sur le magnifique et serein Lake Rescue, et imprègne le charme du chalet du vieux monde, est d'une propreté étincelante et est aussi mignon que possible. Toutes les commodités modernes et dotées d'un bain à remous génial, d'une douche extérieure, de kayaks / canoë, de jouets de natation et à proximité de l'animation de Ludlow, du ski et des villages du Vermont par excellence, des loisirs de plein air, etc. Les chambres comprennent 2 reines et un lit superposé à l'étage, et un canapé-lit dans la tanière en bas. Blottissez-vous près du feu ou du foyer extérieur; c'est notre deuxième maison, donc de nombreux jeux, équipements personnels, bases de la cuisine, etc., fournis. Cozy, charming, beautiful location!

This house was so homey, charming and perfect for our family! Gorgeous outlook over the lake - it had everything we needed and the host was so communicative and kind. Would absolutely stay again!

Great family getaway!

The house is gorgeous and very comfortable! The view of the lake is amazing. This is a perfect family spot. Very safe for kids and nice and quiet at night. We are a family of gamers so we loved the outside and inside tables. I would love to come back here every year!

Amazing secret place near a wonderful lake

We had an amazing time in this place perfectly set up for a restful time and close to Okemo ski resort. Fire place is great and we were like at home for Christmas! I recommend the place !

Great house and super close to Okemo.

We found this property to be clean, cozy, and great for a family with kids. Hot tub was enjoyable. We enjoyed our stay and would absolutely consider renting this house again!

Family getaway

The lake house was a welcome break from the poor skiing conditions. We especially enjoyed the new large hot tub and the dining area which doubled as a game playing table.

The best little ski house!

We had an absolute wonderful stay at the Hemlocks! It is definitely the cutest and coziest ski house we’ve ever stayed in! We are a family of 6 and it was perfect for us. The location is truly 5 minutes from Okemo Mountain, which was awesome. The beds were very comfortable and the hot tub was delightful! Highly recommend for a ski getaway.

Magical Lake Retreat

If you’re looking for a smaller, well-equipped home on Lake Rescue, this is your place! With unbelievable proximity to the lake, this small oasis will restore you -be it in Fall, Summer or Winter... Highly recommend!

Comfortable Lake House Near Okemo

This property was perfect for our family to enjoy a Feb ski vacation. Great location just minutes from the mountain, parking and great views of the lake. Barb the owner, was attentive and provided useful recommendations of local attractions. The house was very well equipped for our family to enjoy time together before and after time skiing Okemo. Highly recommended.

Great stay near okemo

We have been renting for years near okemo and rarely stay at the same spot but will definitely be back here again. Great location, beautiful views and super comfortable setup. Very well thought out for renters. Loved the little Christmas tree.

Wonderful place! Great Location!

One of the best places I’ve stayed in via VRBO. Cozy and cute- yet roomy. Every amenity was thought of. Owner very responsive and kind. The place was very clean. Great location to downtown/skiing area. Would absolutely stay here again. Side note: we ordered pizza from Goodman’s - fantastic!

Perfect Location

If you want to have all the outdoor options, this is the spot! Right on the lake and minutes from Okemo, this house would be magical in either the winter or summer! It was a bit rustic but we liked that aspect and made our stay even more of a break from the daily grind. Also, the owner was so kind and accommodating!

Cozy winter getaway

My two girlfriends and I had a wonderful stay at Barbara's place. It was everything we were looking for: close to Okemo, quiet & cozy, had a fireplace and hot tub, and was the perfect location for star gazing at night. I would come back here in a heartbeat! Thanks Barbara.

Perfect home for ski wknd with friends

Had a blast— perfectly located near Okemo, restaurants, grocery store etc on a beautiful lake with a hot tub to overlook it. House is adorable and cozy with comfy beds and a lovely fireplace. Got a huge dumping of snow while we were there and Barbara was communicative with us triaging snow removal and generous when we encountered some delays with it. Would love to come back here again.

FANTASTIC SKI RETREAT!!! BEAUTIFUL PROPERTY AND AMENITIES!

Our family of 4 had a wonderful ski vacation in this fantastic home. This property is a second home, NOT merely an investment rental property and that is reflected in the way it is lovingly maintained. Beautiful view of the lake and a quick drive to the slopes. Great and timely communication with the owner. Can't wait to stay here again!!!

Cozy Cottage

We enjoyed our stay at this cozy cabin that overlooked the lake. The house had everything we needed for a skiing/hiking vacation. We enjoyed the quiet location - it was a quick 5 min drive to the town of Ludlow and Okemo and about 20 minutes to Killington. We enjoyed fires in the fireplace in the evenings and loved the view of the lake and mountains. The host was very welcoming and there was even a small Christmas tree and winter decorations for the holiday season. We’d definitely stay here again.

Heaven on Lake Rescue

Incredibly cozy and comfortable quintessential Vermont house. Owner truly loves this place and you can tell. 4 day weekend with sub zero temps. Great time at Okemo and sitting by the fire. Lots of games and great views. Can’t wait to come back in summer. TY Hemlocks!

PERFECT ski vacation hotel

This house was perfect. Homey, charming, close to town and right in between Okemo and Killington. I want to live here forever!! Honestly, it was the best VRBO home we've stayed in. Barbara was communicative and friendly, and left clear instructions on everything about the house, hot tub, amenities and info about the surrounding area. I cannot think of one single thing that could have been improved for our stay. It was amazing. I would highly recommend and I will be back next year!

Cozy Holiday Tranquility!

Our family loved spending Christmas weekend at the Hemlocks. My husband said to me, "this place reminds me of the cottage in your favorite Christmas movie, The Holiday." He is right! Clean and cozy, wood burning fire, comfortable beds, antiques and books galore. Kitchen has everything you need, plenty of towels. My kids (age 4 and 5) LOVED the bunk room. The view from the hot tub was amazing. I could go on and on...just the peaceful weekend we needed.

Perfect in Every Way!

We loved our stay at this beautiful home. The location is spectacular - a quick (6 min) drive to Okemo, right on a beautiful lake in the woods. It has been so lovingly and thoughtfully decorated with attractive touches - all making it a cozy retreat. The kitchen has all you need to cook big meals, the bedding is very warm and soft and there are enough great games, books and toys to keep the kids super happy. and best of all, the hot tub and wood burning fireplace made the house so special. Barbara was a delight to book through - very prompt to respond and considerate. The kids have asked to come back every year - maybe even 2x so we can enjoy the lake in summer! Very highly recommend this fantastic home!

The Hemlocks: A Vermont Treasure!

Our family had the pleasure of staying in this beautifully appointed home for the holidays and boy did it exceed our expectations! There was no detail missed... from the authentic charming Vermont decor, cozy fireplace, bright & sunny windows overlooking the lake, fully stocked kitchen, and upscale bed linens with down comforters to the beautiful oversized hot tub complete with complimentary spa robes & slippers. This place feels like your own private retreat with all the comforts of home! For those skiing & snowboarding, the location is terrific! We were literally only 5 minutes from Okemo and a short 20 minute drive to Killington. The large tiled entranceway with built in coat racks and benches is the perfect place to store all of your equipment & boots and ski clothes at the end of the day! The owner, Barabara, was so attentive and such a pleasure to work with! You can tell how special this cottage is by the wonderful way they and their clientele have cared for it through the years. We will definitely be returning to The Hemlocks again soon... maybe to enjoy its beauty in the summer!

Great Christmas Week Vacation

My family and I enjoyed this cozy house over the winter break. It was even peaceful in the rain! My skiers had a great time at Okemo.....only complaint not enough fresh powder😅

The Hemlocks has been in my family since the 1940s, and I've been going to the lake all my life. We purchased the cottage from my cousin in 2004, and renovated it with great care and attention to detail. I am a retired university professor with 2 grown daughters. I'm very active, love to ski, and my favorite time in the world is being at the lake. It is my second home and expect my guests to treat it with respect and care!

Lakeside serenity, quiet, no loud road noise, towering pines, 5-minutes from Okemo and about 20 from the backside of Killington - everything close by. Adorably decorated, everything provided - home away from home!
