Pas de chance avec la météo, mais des hôtes de grande qualité!

Nous sommes arrivés sous le déluge (Steve nous avait avertis de l'alerte rouge par Sms) après plus de 4 mois sans pluie, et nous n'avons pas pu profiter du jardin ni de la douceur de l'automne tant les températures étaient fraîches. Mais les hôtes sont vraiment très gentils et attentionnés , leur localisation permet de visiter beaucoup de lieux sur la côte comme dans l'intérieur. Il faut souligner toutes les attentions (provisions, produits d'hygiène... et boissons dans le réfrigérateur, sans supplément : mieux qu'à l'hôtel!) pour les voyageurs! Équipement de cuisine et salle de bains au top . Bref, presque parfait mais dans ces conditions météo il aurait été bien de prévoir un système de chauffage/séchage indépendant pour réchauffer un peu l'atmosphère intérieure. Tout le monde n'a pas la chance de découvrir ce très beau pays avec la chaleur!

Accueil parfait à tous points de vue

L'appartement est très joliment décoré et remarquablement équipé, avec un agréable jardin, soleil ou ombrage au choix. Les propriétaires nous ont fourni toutes sortes de renseignements et de liens internet, avant et pendant notre séjour, ils sont disponibles sans jamais s'imposer. Nous avons pu aller à Milan (1h30 jusqu'à la sortie de l'autoroute, parkings gratuits, métro jusqu'au centre), dans la montagne, à Gênes et le long de la côte ligure. A conseiller sans restriction.

Great place near Genoa

Convenient location for visiting Genoa and coastal towns by train or by car (very near the autostrada) while being away from city noise and crowds. Very comfortable, well organized apartment with everything you need in the kitchen. The hosts couldn't have been nicer or more helpful, even taking us to the train station when I expressed concern about finding parking there. They also provided everything you might need for a "first breakfast" (actually, more like a week of breakfasts.) Steve and Elisabetta were completely available for any questions but totally non intrusive. Both are Genovese and know the area well and can provide information on local sights and activities. There is also a well organized booklet of information in the apartment. The nearby town of Busalla is a few minutes a way for any shopping, dining, etc. We stayed a week and were very happy with our stay. A very minor negative and reason for only 4 instead of 5 stars is that because the apartment is on the ground floor of the house where the hosts and their children live, there is some unavoidable noise of a family above.....a very quiet family to be sure. I would happily return to Alta Via Relax if I come to this area again!

Norma and Richard where perfect guests, always willing to have a friendly chat with us. I would say that we enjoyed a lot having them here and can only recommend as guests. They left the apartment the way they found it. We definitively take into account the comment about the noise coming from the above floor where we live and we take it as an improvement point for us and we will be helped in this by the fact that our daughters are due to grow even quicker than what we would want :-) Steve

Steve and family did all they could to ensure we had a good stay.

For us it was more isolated than we anticipated ... being "baricentric" we assumed it would have been easier to reach other cities.

Dear Guest, Thanks for your open comment and sorry if the property description could have misleaded you. Our "baricentric and easy access" location is appreciated mainly for the fact that if you want to visit any other location you have the highway entrance at 3-4 minutes by car with no traffic lights nor possiblity of queues which is never the case when you are hosted in a city location (with all the associated fuss like parking problems, traffic noise etc etc). We can confirm that our location allows guests to reach Milan / Turin and almost Florence within 2 hours by car and this is also where the "baricentric" is coming from. It was a pleasure having you as guests and enjoy the rest of your trip. Ciao

Smashing / toll !

Arrive and enjoy, relax in this cosy appartment. We had a couple of good days here and would like to thank Steve and his family for their hospitality, their help and advices. Very cosy apartment with love for details

Alta Via Relax is a very cosy apartment run by incredibly nice people (Elizabetta and Steve) who provide lots of information on things to do in the region and more than just the basics for a good day's start. As we (2 adults, 2 kids and 1 toddler) stayed at Alta Via Relax over New Year we even received a New Year's present (the traditional Panettone cake) from our hosts. The apartment has everything one could wish for during holidays, even a washing machine, house shoes, and toiletries. Although it was quite chilly outside (0 to 5 degrees) and the apartment was situated in the souterrain of the family house, it was always nice and warm inside. Unfortunately, we could not make much use of the nice garden and the playground on the other side of the street but in a warmer season one would love to sit on the lawn and spend time outside. The quietness of the region is remarkable. We spent most of the days at the sea since the temperatures were much milder there. The trip only takes half an hour via the highway and is very convenient. I hope to come back to this part of Liguria in spring or autumn for hiking. I would definitely stay at Alta Via Relax again. Thanks, Steve and Elizabetta, for the perfect stay.

Hendrik and Juliane have been perfect guests, respectful of our property and our rythms. They were happy to get suggestions from us without knocking on our door every moment. When they left our apartment it was in perfect conditions. Our regret was that they decided to come in a period when climate doesn't allow to stay in our garden or nearby playground because Elisabetta and I are sure that our and their children would have played together talking in english and body Language. For those that are concerned to host a family with small children, well, we can assure that the concern is not justified: their kids are very well educated and cute and honestly we didn't notice any difference having their family of 5 or a single traveller. If they will ever come back again to visit Liguria we would be very happy to have them as guests again!

Casa perfecta

Somos una família de 4 personas de Catalunya,España. Este verano hemos pasado 3 dias en este apartamento. El apartamento esta en perfecto estado, bien equipado y esta tal y como está anunciado. El propietario ha sido muy amable, cordial, nos ha prestado ayuda en todo momento,y estamos muy agradecidos. Tiene un magnifico jardin, un lugar agradable y silencioso y fresco en verano. Si tubieramos que volver en esta region no dudariamos en volver a esta casa. Muy recomendable.

Wonderful place for real ligurian holiday

We spent a wonderful vacation in Alta Via Relax! Firstly the location is excellent. Only one step to Genoa and quite close to attractions along the eastern Liguria (such as Camogli, Portofino and the Cinque Terre) and the beautiful beaches of the west (Finale Ligure, Noli). Secondly, Steve and his family are wonderful people and really care about their guests. Steve gave us a lot of valuable advice every day - where to go, how to get there, what to see, what and where to eat. Printed maps and descriptions for us. We would appreciate all these tips, because not only allowed us to see the real country, but above all save a lot of time and money. The apartment itself has two bedrooms, a new bathroom and a well-equipped kitchen (dishes, glasses, plates, cutlery, gas stove and microwave oven, refrigerator and even a coffee maker!). We found there everything we needed on vacation, or even more. The whole was clean and aesthetic. Before the entrance there is a garden with a place to eat and fantastic swing. Across the street is located in a public playground where our children safe and nice spent time. Steve - thank you very much, we visited wonderful places, we discovered the real Italy, and our kids had a lot of fun with your children. We can not wait to re-visit the Alta Via Relax!
