There was a problem at the property due to Hurricane passing very close to the island, we remained without power for a full day and again the day after. Apart from that all was ok.

Thank you for your understanding during such an unpredictable time on the island. The power outages from the hurricane were beyond our control, though we know how frustrating that must have been. We’re glad the rest of your stay went smoothly, and we hope to host you again soon under much calmer skies. Mahalo for choosing Ali’i Beach Rentals!

Not as expected

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Stay here for 4 nights, the picture look great but in person the rental seem like is a bit outdated, old furniture, everything is just average. Beside the location which is good, easily access to and walking distance. The sofa has some stained and the patio has water leaked from the air conditioner.
Réponse de VrboOwner le 23 sept. 2026
We're sorry the unit didn't live up to what you expected when you booked. The stained sofa and the AC leak on the patio are both on us, and we've sent them to our maintenance team to address, along with a closer look at the furniture and the listing photos so what guests see matches what they walk into. Thanks for taking the time to tell us. We'd like the chance to give you a better stay down the road. Mahalo!

Easy to check in, the unit was the perfect fit for my family, we enjoyed all the beach amenities available to us, and great location in Waikiki. Valet parking wasn’t an issue, the hotel has nice food options, and we were able to catch the luau and Friday fireworks on the main floor. Would stay here again.

Les points forts : Propreté et arrivée
Les points faibles : Communication
Really wish the plates, silverware and cups were cleaned. They were dirty. There was also a sock left under the couch… gross. There was no power due to an outage from the hurricane totally understandable but there was no running hot water nor was it communicated to us. I had to get a hotel and spend A TON for the last min room with the host not even offering to either return some of my money or anything. I was expecting a lot better accommodations.

Réponse de VrboOwner le 10 sept. 2026
Thank you for the feedback, and we're sorry about the dishes and the sock under the couch, that shouldn't have been missed, and we're addressing it with the cleaners. The power outage was storm-related and outside anyone's control, but you're right that better communication about the hot water would have helped, and we're looking at how we handle guest updates during outages like that. If you'd like to talk through the cost of your last-minute stay elsewhere, please reach out to us directly. Mahalo!

Thank you for your feedback. We’re glad you enjoyed the great location. We do want to reassure you that both our unit and the building undergo regular, professional pest-control treatments. However, Hawaii’s tropical climate can naturally make occasional sightings possible, even in well-maintained and routinely serviced properties. We appreciate your understanding. Mahalo
