Absolutely gorgeous old historical house in the heart of New Orleans. There arevlovely shops of every kind on nearly every surrounding corner. Very close to every major attraction. Check in process was simple, and we emjoyed every secind of our trio. My small children had a blast and we had an easy time getting around.
Beautifully restored home moments from the music and entertainment of Frenchmen St. Our group of 8 including four teens could not have been more pleased.
We had a lovely seamless stay. The house is well stocked and appointed in a quiet neighborhood that is also easily walkable. The host is responsive and accessible and made our stay personalized. Thank you for helping us enjoy our family while in town for a wedding!
Just far enough away from the noise and traffic of French Quarter. But still close enough to walk to all the hot spots and delicious restaurants in the Quarter and Frenchmen Street. House was perfect!
We rented this home for the "grown-ups" for our daughter's 21st birthday trip. It was meant to be the quiet place for the adults to escape to. This house was perfect for that! The house is full of old southern charm in a quiet neighborhood but still walkable to everything. A block and a half to Frenchman, a couple blocks from Bourbon Street. So happy we found this place.
Though the pictures are beautiful, they did not do this beautiful home justice. It is stunningly decorated and well loved. The hosts were hospitable and patient with our large party, and the property manager was helpful and a total vibe. We are so happy we came!
Definitely made the right choice staying here. It was big enough for our group. The house is beautiful and had the New Orleans charm. Location was great. Walking distance to Bourbon street, the French Market and many restaurants. The heated pool was a plus. We enjoyed ourselves tremendously.
Our extended family group very much enjoyed our stay. The house is fantastic - beautiful, spacious, comfortable, and in a great location. Easy walking to the French Quarter, but away from the crowds. There are good restaurant and shopping options close by - we had a car, but didnât need it. We never did take our planned streetcar ride, but there is a stop a couple blocks away. The house is in a very pleasant neighboorhood. Joshua is friendly and responsive and we enjoyed quite of few things from the list of recommendations he shares with his guests. I would absolutely hope to stay here if I visit New Orleans again.
I stayed in this house with family. We enjoyed the hot tub and the kitchen was well stocked. We were able to access everything with a quick Uber/Lyft. We returned the car rental because it was hard to find parking nearby and there was a 2 hour restriction on parking. The house is very charming. Overall it was a great stay. I recommend a walking partner at night if you are walking toward Frenchmen street.
We loved the Ruby Slipper next door for breakfast.
We have stayed here twice now and are planning our next visit. We absolutely love the peace of the courtyard and pool. This place provides relaxation only blocks from many great restaurants and bars. The two restaurants at the end of the block are both incredible. I wrote a more detailed review about the house after our first stay. Now that we are repeat customers I'm not sure I can offer higher praise.
This is our second time staying at Joshuaâs property in Marigny and it was just as lovely as the last. The house is amazingly appointed and has the perfect French Victorian flare. The beds are comfortable and there are plenty of pillows and linens for our party of 9. The pool and back yard is lovely as well. Also the location is fantastic and the neighborhood is friendly and quiet. We will definitely return to this property again soon. If you are undecided on this property, dig in and book your stay in this house and you wonât be disappointed.
Our stay at Paradise Park was absolutely wonderful! We were with a group of 9 total friends and the house felt extremely spacious for everyone. The location couldn't have been better - close walking distance to both the French Quarter and Frenchmen Street, while still being in a quiet, safe neighborhood. The house was well stocked with everything we could have needed and there were no issues with cleanliness or utilities. The pool was to die for and become our hangout spot for the whole weekend!
This home is in the perfect walking location to the the quarter! You are only 1 to 2 blocks from Robert Market, the Ruby Slipper, and delicious sushi. The Ffrench order is just 3-4 blocks away where you can find all the shopping and dinner/drinks that you will need. The neighborhood is super quiet so itâs nice to go out and then come home to some peaceful relaxation in the pool. Communication with the hosts was super helpful and easy. They even gave us a list of things to visit, including restaurants, tours, and shops. We will definitely return to this property for our next visit to.NOLA! Itâs maximalist charm was perfect for out friends getaway!
We have stayed in this house three times now. In previous reviews I have contacted on how much we like the house, the courtyard, and the neighborhood. This time I will add that the property managers are great. We had a brief WiFi outage. I texted the property manager and she was over in three minutes to quickly fix it. On our last stay my wife forgot her drivers license when we left. The managers were kind enough to ship it home to us. This place is all around great. We will be back again.
Our group of 8 absolutely loved this house and its location. We walked everywhere; the proximity is perfect (quiet area, lovely walks to and from the French Quarter). The house was immaculate. The property manager, John, was very responsive. Really have no suggestions on how to have made this a better place to stay.
This was a perfect place for our group of 6. Very cozy beds and spaces for everyone to either congregate or get some space. Pool was lovely and refreshing after an outing. Very responsive hosts! Thank you!
The location was perfect for visiting Frenchman Street and the French Quarter. Area felt very safe. The pool was amazing! Although neighbors are close, it felt very private. Just what we needed. Unique accommodationsâŠ.historical with all modern conveniences. Property was clean and had everything we needed.
This was the perfect place for my hubby and I and our 4 kids (and their significant others). The home itself is beautiful and furnished well. The pool was a great way to cool down in the July heat. We brought our Corgi mix and he loved taking long walks around the neighborhood.
PROS:
- Depsite being in a busy neighborhood, the home was really quiet at night
- Fully furnished kitchen
-Super comfy beds and bedding
- POOL to beat the heat
-_Fantastic location to walk to the French Quarter and Frenchmen St
-Plenty of room for a large group to spread out
- Lots of great restaurants within walking distance
- The porch swing was a fun place to sit and drink coffee in the morning
_Great communication from the hosts
CONS: (These are super nit-picky and would not make me not stay there again)
- The coffee pot could be replaced. It's hard to get it brewing
- The flooring is old and there is some hardware that sticks out and I stepped on with bare feet - they hurt. They're mostly on the sides of the room and not in the middle of the floor or anything.
Overall - I highly recommed this home. It was a great time and I hope we'll be back soon.
Marigny Villa ..a visit with the historic psst with the comforts of the present
We wished we could have stayed longer and taken in more sites. The home made our rest times comfortable and interesting. We will definitely request to stay again.
