This was a wonderful property, and within walking distance to most of the things we wanted to go to. I loved that it had its own parking space as well (although at one point, someone did come along and take it, but Jose called the tow company right away). It was air conditioned to the perfect temperature and accommodated all 6 of us adults quite well! Beds were comfy, too. It was very noisy at night, but we knew that going into it, so were prepared for that. We loved people watching from the front porch and balcony - very entertaining! I highly recommend this stay for your trip to New Orleans!
Communication with our host was excellent! One of my guest arrived early and was allowed access to the house. Very helpful. Fun, classic decor, great bathrooms and bedrooms. The first floor full bath is located in between the kitchen and first floor bedroom to be clear. Very comfortable layout for big groups. The bathroom upstairs was great! Huge shower! And the half bath downstairs was a plus!! We loved hanging around the kitchen table chatting, and laughing! We had a couple minor maintenance issues upon arrival but they were taken care of in a timely fashion. Not a problem. Great hosts.Lively, location close to lots of restaurants and walkable to all!!! It wasnât without the normal homeless people that all large cities have. In particular just across the street in front of the night club, a small group of peopleâŠ.a bit uncomfortable with a few fights and drug use. By no means a deal breaker nor the fault of anyone. They were asked to move by the night club management. As in other reviews, it is loud at night but didnât bother us. Bring earplugs or white nose machines and youâll be fine!Overall a great home, great location and classic decor. Wonderful hosts. I recommend this property!! We had a blast.
Had a great time at this property. We did not spend that much time inside due to it being a great location in the heart of the French Quarter. We were able to hang out late and easily walk back when needed. The host was very welcoming and invested in our stay. Would highly recommend if you plan on partying on Bourbon St. or the French Quarter!
A former history teacher told us "Frenchmen Street is like if Bourbon Street grew up and got a job." This 1800's era home, with great character, a cool balcony, and renovated bathrooms, is right in the heart of the Frenchmen scene. You can stumble out one block in either direction and hit a half dozen legit jazz clubs with quality musicians. Great food is plentiful and we really enjoyed the nightly art market. The home is also walkable to the water, museums, and more touristy stops if you want. If you crave a quiet getaway, this ISN'T it. As advertised, it's loud and vibrant at night. (3am plus on weekends) Just what we were looking for.
We are five older friends who stayed for four nights and had a wonderful time. The home was spacious, clean and comfortable. We all loved the French Quarter, and Frenchman St. Just be aware that this is not a place for children. This is a party area. There was very loud music from a street band and a dance club across the street until late at night. That being said, there were a couple of venues (especially Bamboulas - a block away) that we thoroughly enjoyed.
Had a group of guys from all over the USA get together to celebrate a friendâs 50th birthday and this place was absolutely perfect. If you need a quiet place look elsewhere as there is a party right outside the door every night. Kent the owner was super responsive and the house was perfect - clean, comfortable, and spacious. Looking forward to going back and making more memories.
We had a great time in New Orleans and the location was great for walking. A little loud but that was expected when staying by all of the action. Kent was a great host.
The location was great for all we wanted to see. Took an uber to a few locations, but mostly walked to sites (including the WWII museum). The house was comfortable. The street and club music is exciting and very loud. Wear decent earplugs if you want to sleep before 3 am! Had a great time!
Great walkable location close to great food and music.
We had a great stay, everything was as pictured, check in was seamless with good communication from the owner. The house was set up with plenty of supplies, we were very comfortable. While we personally enjoyed the energy and atmosphere of Frenchmen St., light sleepers should note that due to the proximity of local night life this is not a quiet place.
We stayed at this property while spending 2 days ahead of our cruise out of New Orleans. The house is in an excellent location, easily walkable to the French Quarter and ideally located to some awesome local bars and restaurants. We really enjoyed the extra space for relaxing while not out exploring the city vs being cramped in a hotel room. Kent is an excellent host and kept in touch to make sure everything was going well and to check if we needed anything. Would definitely stay here again in the future.
This was our 3rd trip to NOLA, and it was our favorite location and the perfect home for our stay in this location and in this price range. We were literally steps away from all the best jazz clubs on Frenchman's street. Yes, it is a loud neighborhood, but we expected that, and who stays on Frenchman to go to bed early? This location is also a quick and easy walk to Bourbon Street and Jackson Square. We appreciated the comfortable bedrooms, full kitchen and washer and dryer. The layout of the parlor and living room created tons of space for all 6 adults in our family to hang out together. Kent was a great host, immediately attending to any issues and checking on us during our visit.
We took our grown children and their partners to stay in this house over the long Thanksgiving weekend. It was the perfect place for our California contingent to meet up with the our daughter and BF coming from NYC. The house was roomy and very well equipped, and the location (though possibly loud for some) was ideal for us to enjoy lots of live music as a family, or as separate couples. We could also easily walk to the French Quarter and the Treme to shop, eat and sightsee. Though the house is not in perfect condition, it is very comfortable and clean, and the owner was very responsive to our questions. We had a blast and everyone in our group agreed we'd be happy to stay there again.
You can't get anymore "in the thick of things" than to stay here. Just a step outside and you are walking distance to most everything! Comfy beds, a very attentive host and plenty of space to just relax make it such a great spot. The balcony is a bonus, where you get to people-watch to your heart's content. I'd recommend to anyone wanting a real NOLA experience.
This was a great place to stay to be right in the mix with music. It was loud until 3 am on weekend nights but we expected that. Home was comfortable and secure
We loved the house and location, an easy walk to many prime spots such as the French Market, French Quarter, Bourbon Street, Jackson Square, and more. Kent was a superb host. There was a live brass band playing across the street till about midnight and then a nightclub directly across the street had an earth-shaking bass till 2, so just be aware. Overall it is a great place to stay.
The house was perfect for our group. It was clean and is walking distance to the French Quarter and French Market. Communication with Kent was great and he was very nice. The only downside is that it is very close to clubs on Frenchman Street and the music from the clubs is very loud until the clubs close.
We had an awesome time at this lovely home. We enjoyed the more authentic look and decor and updated bathrooms. Very comfortable for the 6 of us and the beds were comfortable. Only issue was lack of towels. 6 of us and only 5 towels. The home is definitely on a vibrant corner. We enjoyed people watching and going to the close restaurants. We were staying up late playing games and catching up with old friends so the atmosphere was fun. If you bring a vehicle parking could be difficult. We did text the owner once for an issue with no response. We were able to resolve it, but that makes you nervous if we couldnât have fixed it ourselves. Over all, very fun getaway.
Everything was as described & we loved the authenticity, but didnât realize how loud it was residing across the street from all the clubs on Frenchmanâs Street. Hard to sleep before 2 am.
Host checked in on us during our stay, but not responsive when needing questions answered & didnât give me our check in info until a few hours before our flight left.
House was clean & great walking within the French Quarter.
A sister trip to New Orleans for my 65th birthday was a total blast! The food, the music, the hospitality- none disappointed. Our host was very responsive any time we had a question. The house location was in the middle of everything; so walking distance to so many key locations.
Lived in New Orleans all my life. Former Councilman for the City of Kenner, local business man and my hobbies are Fishing,Fishing and Fishing. I believe in giving a great value in choosing 2105 Chartres, let me prove it.
This House is the perfect stay if you're coming to New Orleans for the Jazz and night life. This million dollar Estate is in the heart of the Marigny -Triangle .This historical district is all part of the French Quarter but this is a little special in that it's where the locals go and truly find fine jazz and urban music that people come to New Orleans to listen to. The previous listing was #1038747 with over 30 5-Star Reviews in less than a year. It's an amazing stay, what are you waiting for.
No need for UBER or LYFT .You right in the heart of it all. Spacious home is the best value , Let us prove it. It's a walk and see adventure to all of Frenchmen and the French Quarter . Centrally located to all the Festivals.
