While the quirky hexagon was comfortable it needed to be badly dusted especially around the lighting fixture hanging over the eating table and above rafters in the kitchen area as well as a good sweeping.
We would definitely come back and rent this place again. It was just as listed. It was just a short walk to the slopes and a great location if you have a group that wants to come and go at different times to ski. The only negative thing I have to say is the room with the bunkbeds was not comfortable. My sons said it was like sleeping on the floor. But even with that said we would still come back. Maybe just bring air mattress next time Everything else was perfect and we had a great time.
We stayed at this comfortable home and enjoyed hiking. A 10 min drive to the profile trail, it also offers a short drive to everything Linville has to offer. House is close to Roan mountain too. 5 star cleanliness and comfort.
Overall our stay was amazing. The house was adorable and everything was updated. The only downside was getting up to the steps from the driveway. The steps to the house were all new but the rock steps were hard to maneuver with a bad foot. Beautiful views and memories made!
This house was perfect for our 5 kiddosâŠthe teenagers took the downstairs and the little ones slept in the bunk room. It was clean, simple and exactly what we needed, and nice to be able to ski in and out so we didnât have to haul everyone up & down the mtn.
Photos not accurate and poor customer service through vacasa.
Property bed arrangements didnât match up to the original posting. Photos of bathrooms are still inaccurate and not up to date. Property was trashy. Mini liquor bottles and cigarettes all around the property. Inside of microwave was very very dirty. Master shower had blue soap smears/ drips on walls- and âI love youâ was as written on shower doors.
The house itself is good, spacious heater works well. It was clean. Mattresses are terrible soft and uncomfortable pillow are not the best either. Location is great. Not really equipped for longer stays. There are zero hooks installed throughout in the house. Neither in rooms nor in bathrooms. Not sure where should we hang our coats or towels. Internet access is nonexistent. Some IT genius put the modem and all the devices in the deepest corner of the house which is full of metal beams. No signal will ever get upstairs. I talked to the management company every day about this. They assured me that someone local will reach out to me soon. Still waiting on that call till this day. Property management sent me a phone number instead of an access code to the house. After calling them finally they shared a code for a lockbox, which had a key for the house. I had one key for the top floor door, which is dangerous to climb up every day in winter, since all the stairs were frozen. They don't give you keys to the 1st floor entrance which is under cover and has easy access to the house. All and all the house is fine to stay in, but the management is terrible, and they don't care about your issues.
We enjoyed our stay the property was in a great location right on the slope. The property does have it listed ski in/ski out, however you have to cross the road, cut through other homes and climb up and down a large hill to get onto the slope. The home was very neat and clean, however the lower level downstairs bathroom was hard to get into with a spiral staircase, and had some old mold steins on walls and post. The kitchen was tight, and some of the drawers fall out of the cabinet, but we were able to make do. Family room was very comfy with large smart TV with apps. The fireplace did not work when we got there, they did come fix it a day later, but then it stopped working again. Would stay again, hopefully management can work on getting some of these items fixed for future guests.
I stayed at this property with my 18 year old son and some of his friends for their spring break. Great location with easy access to the slopes. The units are old but this one has been updated. The kitchen was very well stocked, wifi was great and we appreciated the several large Roku tv's.
The good. This little house is near the slopes within easy waking distance. The fireplace works and the internet access is stable and fast. The TVs work and we had a great time.
The not so good. This house is in desperate need of a major remodel. All of the carpets need to be replaced. The tile in the entry way is badly broken, some of the kitchen appliances worked. The floor board heating units are difficult to control. The stairs inside have wide rail supports and I was concerned my 2 year old could fall through. The exterior stairs were not maintained and were treacherous to go up and down. The build quality is similar to my cheap camp trailer.
That said we had fun.
We were looking for a ski-in ski-out rental and thought we had it in slope slider 26 as it was advertised that way but when we arrived we found that this is not the case. Also, the unit was not in very good condition, heat in two of the rooms didn't work, a kitchen drawer was broken, the blinds were broken, the fireplace didn't work, the coffee pot was clogged, ice covered steps made getting to the house treacherous, all of which we could have put up with if it were ski-in ski-out but since it was not, it ended up just being a big disappointment
Let me start with the pros. This home appears to have been recently updated. TVs in all rooms were nice, new, and big. Bedding and furniture were up to date and the house was clean. The rental company was very responsive and helpful with our questions.
Now cons.
This is NOT a true ski in/out property. In order to ski in/out you must walk across the road and onto another homes porch and down their stairs. All
Homes across the street are marked as private property so until we called rental company we didnât know how to get to the slopes. Also the slope it is in requires you to be able to ski blue slopes to get back into the house. These homes are smaller than they appear. It is ok for two small families but any more than that would be very cramped. You canât really see the slopes either as you are one row back from them and trees block your view. The fireplace was not working when we got there but the rental company was quick to come fix it and once it was fixed it was as simple as flipping the switch beside it. When we arrived the steps were incredibly icy and steep so make sure you wear good shoes if coming in the winter time to get in and out.
