Great property and location. Very close to beach and Harpoon Willies. House was super clean and bedrooms very comfortable. Really enjoyed our stay here. Highly recommend
My family enjoyed our stay here. The house had everything we needed to be comfortable. The bay beach is just a short walk away, we saw dolphins and beautiful sunsets. Historic Cape May is a short drive so we could enjoy the ocean as well.
Had a great stay in north Cape May for Escape the Cape weekend. This charming house was clean and well apportioned with a relaxing backyard area. Thanks so much, we will be back!
The thing i loved most was how we could relax on the couch with our dogs and watch movies. Very convenient location. Great access to the beach
And lovely weather.
Bay beach a few blocks walk away. Good location to enjoy Cape May and Wildwood.
Pet friendly and plenty of room for 6 adults.
Nice back patio, plenty of room for everyone.
As a family, we were never aware of such a concept other than staying at a hotel, inn, etc. We only had 4 possible days this summer (well almost summer) that worked for our entire family to go away on a mini vacay. We also have a sweet lil' dog that we didn't want to board like we did twice prior. We booked late in the season (May) and were fortunate to come upon this treasure. Our 15 and 16 year old don't get along very well and we didn't want to board our sweet pooch. As a family, we really haven't been on any vacations with the exception of Rehoboth Beach, summer 2022 and 2023. It was very tight for all of us and even more per night in the Hyatt. This property was perfect for so many reasons. It aloud us to bring our sweet pooch who really enjoyed the large fenched in backyard. Each of our teens had their own rooms and our room was a nice sized room as well. The home was spotless and clean (very very important to us). It was spacious. The central AC worked amazing. The street is nice and quiet and the beach is a short walk. Should you wish to drive, there is plenty of parking in North Cape May. Cape May is 10-12 min. drive away with tons of restaurants to choose from. Though Harpoons on the Bay, right up the street from where we stayed was our favorite. The view from the back deck of the sunset is amazing. The beds were comfortable, sofa and everything else was just perfect. We will be returning in the Fall and plan to carve out a 7 day stay next summer.
This is a quirky house, in its layout, that does everything you want it to do! The fenced yard was great for the dog. The kitchen and the bathrooms were well equipped and stocked. There was ample everything, right down to dog treats! We stay here again in a heartbeat! The host Cheviot on us to make sure all was well and all was well!
House was awesome nice quiet neighborhood. Close to downtown . We all felt like we were in our own home. Will be back next year for the next reunion downtown!! Really enjoyed my stay there..
The house was perfect for our girl's weekend! We loved the living room set-up. We had everything we needed and the house was comfortable and clean. We locked ourselves out one evening and the host answered right away and was able to help us get back in.
Only complaint was there was too many bugs in the back yard to sit out. We wanted to build a fire in the firepit to keep the bugs away but there was no fire wood or gas in the gas grill to cook.
The home is situated in a great neighborhood close to the bay. Ample parking with private backyard. In close proximity to attend a ceremony at USCG base. Thanks Hubert for your hospitality.
Really comfortable, cozy home, good layout of rooms for privacy and sociability. High quality towels, better than average kitchen equipment. Beautiful, private back yard with plenty of lounge chairs.
The property was extremely clean. It was exactly as described...a cozy cottage just a few blocks from North Cape May beaches.
The fenced-in back yard was perfect for our little rat terrier.
Three very nice and spacious bedrooms with 2 full bathrooms were plenty big enough for our family of four. Very nice sized family room with sectional allowed us to comfortably relax after long days exploring, shopping, walking the beaches, and viewing spectacular sunsets.
We love North Cape May and this house was just right.
Thank you to our hosts.
Cheers,
Joe and Michelle
The listing needs updating, photoâs inside and out. Kitchen needs cooking utensils, front door hard to open and close. Storm door needs repair, does not stay open. Rear patio was dirty with bugs everywhere. Patio canopy hood held water. Toilets run need new flappers. House not completely cleaned, (stove greasy, floor had sand). Sent a message to owners/manager no responses.
Very clean, comfortable home with nice space to hang out and all the necessities, plus a bit of vintage charm thrown in. Fully fenced back yard worked great for our fury family member with a nice set up for everyone to lounge outdoors. Quiet neighborhood, felt very safe and enjoyed long walks around the community. Owners were extremely responsive and helpful with questions and recommendations- Red Brick Ale House near by has great food. There is a beach close by, so you donât have to drive over to Cape May to enjoy the sand and surf, but itâs not that far to check out the historic downtown, etc. We visited in Feb. so canât speak to the in-season vibe, but thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
The house was clean and well provided. Nice, quiet neighborhood. For us unfortunately quite far from Cape May town center. Our biggest disappointment was the fact that the exterior was badly maintained. Due to heavy rains and an old rotten awning and no trimming of trees, bushes etc there were a lot of mosquitos. Sitting outside was not comfortable. Everything felt old and moisty. We also expected, as was mentioned in the ad, that there would be bikes available but all of them were broken, missed a tire and couldnât be used. Overall we enjoyed Cape May, the beaches, the dolphins. But next time we will stay somewhere else. The value for money for this property is moderate.
Our stay was not as good as I hoped. The lock in the back of the house is extremely difficult to use (It took 30 minutes in the freezing weather and I broke two of my fingernails trying to get the house keys out). And when I tried to contact the owner about the issue with the lock via phone, they never answered the phone and the voicemail was full so I couldn't leave a message. And when I sent them a message on VRBO, they never replied. The TV in the living room does not work. None of the beds were made. Some of the pillows had brown stains on them. And there was personal trash (multiple enemas) left in one of the bathrooms. The owner finally replied after I had checked out and returned home, and the response was basically them blaming the âproperty manager.â Not an apology for the locks or trash or anything. It was very disappointing.
However, Cape May is lovely and the beaches are wonderful. Iâll definitely go again. I just wonât be staying here.
My husband and I rented this cottage with our dogs for 4 nights. The kitchen is well equipped. The beds are comfortable. The special touches for the dogs was very nice. The location was good. In the evening we did drive the dogs and beach chairs to the beach access and enjoyed the sunsets every night.
