What an awesome spot. Property exactly as described. The shaded covered porch was our favorite spot!!! Perfect location. So close to the bay beach, quiet and clean and even better dog friendly! Sunsets are amazing, Kevin the conch guy, as we called him, was an awesome nightly must see ritual. Communication was spot on . Thanks hoping to be back soon
VERY comfortable family home! Your bay has the Best sunsets we ever saw! Beds were great, front porch a dream, and plenty of eating and relaxing spaces inside and outside the home. Close to so many wonderful things to do. We enjoyed the Cape May lighthouse, Beach Plumb Farm, Reaâs farm market, Sunset Beach, Downtown Cape May, The Lobster House, the Fish House and hanging out, building sand castles on the bay with our grandchildren.
As advertised great sunset. Stayed early May. Water temp 55'. Swam anyway. Water was muddy. People fishing. Nice birds. Excellent house. Cooked alot. Got sun burned
Interior of home was comfortable and had everything needed for a nice stay. Downstairs flooring required vacuuming. Owner let us know to bring linens and towels. Location was excellent a few houses to the beautiful bay and sunset. Outside patios could use some spring clean up. Overall a good place to stay.
Loved this sweet home away from home, which is in a quiet neighborhood just steps from the bay/beach. Sunsets were incredible! A short drive took us to both Beach Plum Farm for dinner and downtown Cape May for other Christmas cheer and shopping. House is well-equipped and very comfortable for our group of four adults. Glad the owner told us to bring linens and towels since we didnât see that on the listing.
This is a charming cottage, very well maintained, in a quiet neighborhood. We used only the main bedroom (of three altogether), where the king-size bed was super comfortable. Pet-friendly, though the yard is not fenced so you will have to leash your dog outdoors. The cottage is only a couple of minutes' walk from the bayside beach, which allows dogs -- and has beautiful sunsets. Don't miss the nightly (usually) blowing of the conch shell and the Hawaiian blessing ceremony as the sun dips below the water! Location is within easy reach of Cape May attractions. Major plus -- the owner is friendly and very responsive to queries.
Home was clean, well organized & very comfortable. Host was very responsive. Beach was just a short easy walk. We were welcomed by the close-knit community & included in their beach gatherings. Enjoyed having our dogs with us. Looking forward to our next stay.

We had a lovely week in the beach community in this great home 2min from the sandy beach - and sunsets. The host, Norma is wonderful, quick to respond if you have any issues. The water is a bit muddy so swimmers suggested to walk 2-3 peers down south where water becomes clearer but for sun bathing and enjoying sunsets the location is A+. We loved it. Everything is close, Acme 5min drive, restaurants 15-20min drive. Villas is to love!
This was our second stay at this property and we had a lovely time. The cottage is adorable and perfect for our family of 5. So close to the bay and a short drive from doen town Cape May. We would definitely stay yere again.
We loved our stay at Seahorse Cottage. What a lovely home!
The location was great too. Itâs a nice little neighborhood, quiet and close to the beach. Who could ask for more?
The house was wonderful and steps from the bay, which was incredible to be able to go to to see sunsets and run with our dog. Had a great time and would definitely come back!
We brought our dogs for the 3rd year in a row for a long weekend here. We love the open airy house, and the proximity to the beach. 5 stars all around <3
The cottage was a perfect place for a retreat from work and school for my grandddaughter and myself.
We were 4 houses away from the beach. Even though this time of the year is chilly, the beach was a quiet spot to relax.
We enjoy this home so much! This was our third visit. The dogs loved the beach and the humans had a relaxing week. Thank you, Norma, for sharing your home with us.
This was our third time staying at the house. We just love going down. Itâs such a great spot. The house is just as described and Norma is always very responsive and easy to communicate with. We would highly recommend staying at the cottage. It truly is paradise!!
We stayed here for the weekend with friends. We loved the coziness of this property, which was equipped with everything you need & fully enjoyed our stay. Would re-book!
Six old friends gathered for three days of catching up. The house was perfect. We enjoyed sitting out on the front porch and also in the backyard. The beach is so close we went down each night for the sunset. During the day we loved seeing the sights of Cape May and trying various restaurants. Thank you for sharing your lovely home with us.
My husband and I celebrated our 20th wedding anniversary this year and could not have picked a more perfect place to honor it! The house was absolutely beautiful, and we were in awe when we walked in. We enjoyed all of it from the spacious front porch where we enjoyed many coffees, to the Key West themed back yard, to just an approximate 40 second walk to the bay. The owner was delightful and worked with us from beginning to end to ensure a wonderful experience. We definitely would like to come back for our 25th anniversary along with maybe a few trips in between!
Exactly as described - a very short walk to a quiet, almost private beach. Sunsets were spectacular. Small waves and shallow water make it the perfect place to introduce the joy of the seashore to a three year old human and a newly adopted dog. A short drive to downtown Cape May, the (free!) zoo, nature centers, and more. So glad we found this place!
Beautiful home! From the moment we stepped up on the porch, it felt warm and inviting! The rooms were bright and comfortable! I enjoyed sitting out on the porch with a drink and a book! Very comfortable! Thank you Norma!
I lived in Bucks County, Pennsylvania and spent each summer at my grandparents home in Cape May, New Jersey. My children grew up with sand in their toes and the waves tossing them around. I had a dream to build a home by the water in my favorite summer vacation spot, Cape May, New Jersey. This cottage is the culmination of that dream. I designed and had it built just a short distance from the Delaware Bay beach in an area known as Cape May Beach. It has some of the most magnificent sunsets ever. It's in a unique area where you can see the sunrise over the water (only 10 minutes away on the ocean in Cape May) and then see the sunset on the bay just at the end of the block. Dreams do come true!
