The location is excellent for the track. Lots of restaurants nearby. The unit is co-located with another hotel with a separate concierge desk. Zero communication from owner and the unit needs some updating (appliances, doors, paint, etc.). But for a bunch of guys going to races in was fineâŠmy wife would have thought otherwise.
Check in was horrible, Brian the owner of the condo we rented and his assistant Samantha was not helpful at check in at all. The ocean walk doesnt like dealing with him because he is a pain, so they dont check u in they give all ur bands and key cards to him to place in the room, at 4pm check in time we never could get a hold of Brian nor Samantha to get room code so we could check in at 4:15 we went to the desk and they finally got a hold of some one to give us the code for the room. Then we get in our room the main fridge doesn't work. The 2nd bathroom didn't flush right at 1st but then it started working but fridge never did and we had brought drinks and food with us. And there was 8 people in our group for 2 night stay and there was only 3 rolls of toilet paper for everyone to use. We love staying at Wyndham ocean walk everything is great there just highly recommend not renting from Brian or Samantha at all. We checked in on friday May 2nd and checked out sunday May 4th and i still have not heard back from either one of them on check in information, i called and messaged them both several times on friday and no word back.
The beachfront Balcony is in the Master not the main living room. The door to it has been broken many times. My husband was the only one who couls open and shut it. Half of the master closet door was missing. Jakuzi tub didn't work. Ran out of hot water just trying to fill it. Stains on furnature. We have been here several times and this place was the worst. Not coming back.
Super location for the family as there are various pools to entertain a wide age range. We stayed for 28 days, upon entry to the unit we found the shower curtain laying in the tub, bought some duct tape and made do. Then when we did dishes for the first time, the dishwasher leaked water all over the floor, bought a mop and bucket to clean it up, went to use the second dishwasher and had the same thing happen. Maintenance was notified, shower curtain rod was replaced and the dishwasher temporarily repaired. A few days later as it became warmer outside the AC unit could only maintain 74 degrees, sadly nothing was ever done about that.
The location was spot on with gorgeous views and close to a lot of amenities. The unit itself was not clean floors were covered in hair, dirt.....my daughter in law cut her foot open on broken glass on the patio. Garbage was found stuck between mattress and head board(how this happens if linens are washed between each guest I am not sure? someone Elses cloths items by laundry. Maintenance and cleaning were needed in this unit. I would recommend looking into the cleaning and maintenance services for this owner.
This property was horribly dirty. We called the management company and they sent someone to "re-clean" the property but I went to the store to buy my own supplies because this unit was honestly the dirtiest place I've ever vacationed. There was a rug in the bathroom that looked like it had been down on the floor for 10 years. It was full of hair and dirt and needed to be thrown in the trash. The floor was full of sand and dirt and the shower was disgusting! The entire placed needed cleaned from bottom to top. On the plus side, check in was easy and the pool looked as it did in the listing. Although they do shut down the pool area if a storm is anywhere within a 30 mile radius. So, basically, if you're there during July when it rains a lot in Florida, expect the pool to be closed most of the day. The staff was friendly, parking was easy, the lobby area was clean. If you must go to Daytona, I'd recommend this resort but maybe not this exact unit. If you are able to avoid Daytona and instead vacation elsewhere, I highly suggest you keep looking. Lots of great vacation spots in Florida, Daytona isn't one of them.
This was my 4th time to the Ocean Walk Resort. Weâve come here for dance nationals competitions. My last visit was 8 years agoâŠand every other time I was very impressed with my stay. This time our unit was less than ideal. Wonderful views but sadly missed time to enjoy the beach-facing balcony due to the door not working properly and even after 2 fixes during our stay, was still difficult to use. We required other repairs as well during our stay. Balcony tables had broken glass tops, a missing 1/2 to a closet door, and a few other broken or dented items within the unit. The owner was notified, attempts were made for fixing door, shower curtain rod replaced, and dishwasher latch fixed. HOWEVER, all those issues costed us TIME to enjoy our vacation and the owner made zero attempt to rectify these issues with a monetary discountâŠwhich should be obvious due to the loss of enjoyment and being in the room for repairs. Other families staying in other units owned by others, had much better accommodations for their money! Resort itself was wonderful as usual and staff polite and supportive of our frustrations with repairs.
Very nice property. We had a wonderful time and even seen the space shuttle from the balcony.
The only real improvement I seen that should be done is replacing the handle on the sliding door overlooking the pool. The door sticks and the majority of the handle is broken off so it is difficult to open. I cut my hand trying to open it. Luckly it wasn't too bad, but could have sliced my hand good if not being careful.
Great location, wonderful views from 10th FL balcony
The Condo/unit was Amazing!! Our family had the best time! The views from the 10th floor balconies were amazing. Host was super responsive and quickly answered any questions that I had. We only had one hiccup, the water in the unit was not warm/hot, I contacted Brian and they sent over the maintenance crew within the hour and was fixed right away. This place has plenty of space for our big family (8 adults), I highly recommend this place and plan to stay here again next year. Thank you for hosting me and my family.
We LOVED our stay! The condo was a great size and accommodated two families nicely. One bedroom and bathroom was at one side of the unit, with the other at the other end. This made it nice for those who needed to nap or go to bed earlier. The unit had everything we needed! A few items needed fixing or cleaned, but nothing that affected our stay. We loved that we could walk everywhere (with the exception of the grocery) and didnât run out of places to explore. Everyone at Ocean Walk was extremely friendly. We would definitely visit again!
Plenty of room for everyone and the view was amazing.
Perfect location for all amenities of all ages. The only bad thing was the elevators took forever but thatâs a small inconvenience for such a wonderful place for vacation. 10/10 would recommend
