Our family stayed here for two weeks recently. We were quite impressed with the cleanliness and neatness of everything when we arrived. This was much better than average. The proximity to Roger Wheeler Beach was great - about a 12 minute walk or a two minute. This home has been very nicely updated and recently renovated. The beds and furniture were excellent. We will try to stay here again if we return to Narragansett next summer.
We very much enjoyed our stay here. The house and property are immaculate. The kitchen and both bathrooms seem to be very new. The beds and couches are very comfortable. It's obvious that the owners take the comfort of their guests seriously. The upstairs deck is nicely furnished, including two very large umbrellas for shade. The back and side yards are spacious and perfect for yard games. The location is very convenient and close to Roger Wheeler Beach, great restaurants, Gallilee, Westerly, and Narragansett. One of the highlights of our stay in Point Judith was a chartered fishing trip out of Gallilee. The kitchen was very nicely appointed with all of the cooking utensils we needed to enjoy our fresh catch! I highly recommend this place. We will definitely rent again.
We had a great stay at this house for a week this July! Plenty of room for our party of 8 adults. There was driveway parking, but also street parking with no restrictions which was helpful for us a night or two. The house is beautifully furnished and had all the amenities we needed. We loved the updated kitchen and the high deck. The property manager was very easy to get in touch with through texting. The coffee maker was broken one morning and they responded right away. A new coffee maker was delivered the next day. We were able to access the property with a code and without going to an office which was also a plus. The 10 minute walk to the Roger Wheeler beach was easy. We loved how close it was to several restaurants-all within a 10 minute walk or less. All around a great vacation spot!
The Positives:
Proximity to Roger Wheeler beach, the high deck, the outdoor shower, big grass yard, plenty of beds.
The Negatives:
The pictures in the ad are from years ago and the house is not in that condition anymore, doesn't have a picnic table or swing anymore. The furniture and cabinets are very beat up: missing/misaligned cabinet doors, broken table, table and chairs covered in very sticky residue, couch is torn and springs shot, all the exterior door latches are broken, flaky light switches and dead outlets, outdoor shower door was ripped off, basement was obviously flooded at one time and never fully repaired. I communicated this to the property manager including sending pictures and got no response at all. Check-in process would have been better if we could have used lock box instead of having to drive up to Narraganset Properties office.
We had a great week with our family at this house. Most days we walked to Roger Wheeler State Beach, and there are restaurants well within walking distance. The house itself is perfect for a multi-family stay. Our only concern was the staircase is very wide and did not fit a baby gate for our toddler, but other than that everything was great. The yard is a good size and The outdoor shower was amazing.
