Outstanding stay location was perfect close to everything 30 minutes from downtown 30 minutes from local food and a great view to wake up to with coffee and a fully stocked house can't wait to come back
We stayed here fourth of July weekend to get away from the city noise. The home served its purpose. Basic amenities, nothing fancy. Quiet and felt safe.
This house is wonderful. Great location. Wonderful view. The porch was perfect for sipping lemonade and writing. Our dogs lived it. The hosts were very helpful. I highly recommend staying here if you find your way to the Asheville area. The driveway is a little steep but not a poblem once you expect it. Wish we could have stayed longer. And the records were a extra bonus.
We had a fantastic time during our most recent trip to the area. Pictures do not do this little sanctuary justice. It is gorgeous inside and well-maintained. The hosts were easy to work with and available if we needed anything. Our kiddo loved exploring the play area and investigating the cicadas. We highly recommend this house for visitors who want to be a little removed from the busier parts of the area.
The home was cozy but open. The beds were super comfortable and everything was very clean. The views were amazing and the wind chime on the front porch was so relaxing. Our kids had a blast playing on the playground as well as the games.
We took advantage of this house to break up our drive for spring break. The house was great for our family. The play area and view were also an added bonus!
The place was amazing, very well appointed and everything you would need is supplied with quality. Communication was excellent and friendly. Highly recommended... ! Jerry
Place was very clean and organized. Great amenities, fantastic view and porch, loved the record player. Definitely a cozy cabin. Check in was extremely easy and I appreciated the information binder. The driveway in is a bit rough but we had no problems in an Infiniti G35 and 3 sport bikes. Would absolutely stay here time and time again
Very cute property that had very nice views of farm land. On the way there you will pass river water with a few great views going up the mountain to the property. We were able to see horses in the distance from the porch that had a beautiful wind chime, as well as a nice playground. Hosts were very kind and accomodating. Recommend a vehicle that has the capability going up hills on loose rock heading toward or off property, and to have mudflaps to prevent car damage. We had a FWD 2015 Hyundai Santa fe Sport with mudflaps and were able to get in and out, no damage. Just needed to maintain a speed of 10-15 going up the hills.
We couldnât have found a more cozy cabin. The home was beautiful and we had such a great weekend away with our pups. Nancy was such a great host. She was very kind and gave clear instructions for our stay. This was also our first time back to the area since just before Hurricane Helene. It was so great seeing people getting back on their feet out there. We absolutely will be back.
Philip and Nancy moved from Morehead City, NC, to this property in April 2018 after retiring from owning a business at the beach to spend time with their children and grandchildren. They built the 2 bungalows on the 12-acre property and are enjoying hosting guests from all over the world!
The mountain views and sunrises are spectacular. This is a quiet property, easily accessible on main roads, but with a country feel (watch the cows on the adjacent property and some deer and wild turkeys), while only 20 minutes to all of the activities in downtown Asheville. Great for families and their pets, but also the perfect couples getaway.
